Did Call of Duty Infinite Warfare really deserve to fail? 

I feel like we must of played different games. I had no problem following the story. Really enjoyed the campaign but I’m a huge sci fi nerd.

This game definitely suffered from everyone being tired of the future aesthetic. The game itself is fine/pretty good, but everyone just wanted regular cod again.

Best COD I have ever played. Other people hate it cus the movement is so fast, it is hard to keep up. The aim has to be on point to kill someone who is flying in the air

I’m sad you guys didn’t enjoy the campaign. IW’s is probably my favorite campaign story-wise.

After mastering the movement in this game it became my favorite call of duty of all time, getting nukes and high kill streaks.

I'll still firmly say this is the most fleshed out NON linear COD out there and it is one of those amazing underrated game that got the misfortune to release at the worst time,at the wrong year where people wanted something else/tired of said setting. From the campaign's perspective.I personally put this ABOVE the recent new COD games which i found them to be profoundly overrated let alone short while this sits proudly next to the OG MW4,MW2,WAW,Blops as one of my top 5 greatest COD out there purely it got the balls to do something different for a change rather than pandering to nostalgia and playing it safe.It's a damn shame it just chosen the worst year to release where everyone is tired of the whole futuristic genre. Can't say anything for the MP though.

Rocket sloths there's something you should know as a fan of the Navy. There has a fleet day event where the fleet assembles and has a good old time granted for a long time. It's not like it was in the 20s where it would literally be every ship they can muster and now it's more. Just bringing a couple but fleet week is the thing. When it comes to rank his rank is commander. His position on the ship is out of captain meaning he commands the ship.

Every company in the Army has a Captain in the role of "Commander" So yes you can refer to your commander as your captain (Captain is his rank) too but in the Army you mainly always refer to your Company Captain as Commander because that's his/her role and what they're there to be.

Most underrated cod in history. I have it in my top 3 overall cod

I'm sure this has been mentioned, but Reyes' official rank is commander, thought there's a navy tradition that the person in charge of a ship is always called 'captain'. (or so I learnt from Deep Space Nine)

It should not have taken me this long to realise that Omar and Reyes's short exchange after the attack on Geneva was a foreshadowing of the ending. "Captain's duty is to bring his men home safely, Sergeant." "Not always, Lieutenant. Not always."

A really cool thing was mission teams. You could earn really awesome variants for multi or zombies just playing the game.

I’m assuming that as a Commander (Rank) you are acting Captain (Position) of the ship, similar to how Quarian’s still refer to Commander Shephard as Captain, as he leads the Normandy.

People use to meme on Halo becoming CoD and CoD becoming Halo. This game was the epitome of that. If there was ever a CoD: Halo it was this game.

I have this game on my steam account but I’ve only played the campaign. Never touched the multiplayer. But I don’t recall finishing the campaign at all. Because I have never seen any giant robots or flying in space. So I definitely need to go back and play this. But I do love when people complain about cost of games and maps. When they can goto Burger King and buy a burger for $13 or door dash a $9 burger for a total cost of $34 lol

I think it says volumes that COD fans unanimously hated on IW, while non-COD players were actually interested in a COD game for once. The number of people I knew that didn't care at all about COD, but sat up when they saw the initial IW trailer. I also had friends who loved Wing Commander back in the day that really wanted to play IW. They, of course, never cared about COD after that.

Personally I loved IW. I wasn’t a big fan of the jumpy cods. But I still had a hella good time on IW

14:49 that’s more navy shite, iirc. Basically, you play as someone whose rank is Commander, but are the highest ranking officer on board. That effectively gives you the temporary title of “captain” until the ship would return to dock, and be assigned a new, proper ranked captain. Tl;dr: you play as a commander, and you captain a ship.

I can tell you did not listen to a single word any character said during the campaign because like 90 percent of the stuff you didnt understand is literally told to you by the characters

Singlehandedly the best CoD Campaign hands down. It actually tried things different from the rest of the franchise and it got a lot of undue backlash. Definitely the single most underrated CoD as well.

in the story the main character is called captain and commander because when he is made captain he got promoted to commander and became acting captain

Honestly this game fixed everything I hated about Black Ops 3 and the campaign was amazing. The response it got made me feel so out of touch lol

If anything, it should have been a franchise of its own. I just started watching The Expanse in the year this came out, and I was beckoning for a game that had that type of combat and style to it. Just a damn shame it got a shitty multi-player, which is the foundation of their marketing (unfortunately) the campaign was awesome tho.

Probably my top game ever. Thats the campaign mind you. One of the best stories and one of the few where you get to choose side missions. The space combat was a real surprise from a COD game and just wanted more. If ever a game needed a spin off, its this one.

I still play MW1 Remastered. I'm not a huge CoD guy but back in the day I spent a lot of time in MW1, 2, 3 and Black Ops 1. They were always "that slow", like in the Remaster. It's slow-PACED but not SLOW slow. And i really appreciate that, every now and then that's what I want. I don't like that every shooter outside of completely different things such as Counter-Strike, have sped up so much. You can run fast and for as long as you like, weapon reloads are quick asf, throwing grenades, flashbangs, etc, ALL super quick, then they started including "Supers" like the character abilities in Blops 4, like....... ....nah man. 😂 when I want a fast game, I go for Titanfall 2. I liked CoD for being dynamic but not twitch fast, and not as SLOW and massive as Battlefield either. When I play MW1 Remaster I get that nostalgia rushing back. It actually feels good to carefully get a feel for a map, walk around, position myself, slowly checking corners, etc. Instead of just f*cking sprinting everywhere spraying and praying. And it really feels like the consistency of the map quality was higher back then too. Even if some are absolutely broken like that yard one with the containers. How did the devs NOT think to block killstreaks? 😂 matches on that map always go the same way: The first mf to get to airstrikes and helicopters will start an unstoppable snowball effect against the other team. Soon as the first airstrike and helicopter starts attacking people in the middle of that chaos, it's over. Sometimes matches don't even make it to 5 minutes. And also f*ck the BOG. 😂

This was one that came out like right after I stopped playing Call of Duty, so I never tried it. It looks like it's got its pros and cons though, instead of being JUST cons like how most people I know have reported it. lol I enjoyed this video.

THATS SO WEIRD! I just redownloaded this game bc I watched starfield and wanted to play a futuristic combat shooter. I got all the achievmnets for the cmapaign but when I got to multiplayer I couldnt find a lobyy, that sucks though b/c maybe I would have run into rocketsloth!

Well I think with card for remaster the problem was that the play style of most call of duty players changed since the original modern warfare and people weren't willing to put as many hours in because it had already been done before, when the original cod 4 released there was nothing like it. It was new and fresh but 10 years later it was kind of already been there done that with most people

Tbh... Infinte Warfare was my best game cod experience and im from the bo1 mw and mw2 era.. The weapon level system is very fair and not pay to win.. I have gotten a dozen of legendary weapons from free crates. Saving keys to unlock the gun you want is awesome.. My personal favorite was the Smoothbore 🤤 I believe the jet pack boosting everyone's was over it which gave this game no attention. Infinite Warfare is a Low key top game in my opinion. Give it a try..

I played Infinite Warfare's campaign once, Zombies a few times, and gave multiplayer some attention, but ultimately it made me dislike advanced movement in games. Fast paced games can be fun, but this was just a slow paced game sped up.

Would love to see yall do this with Advanced Warfare maybe?

I re-download this game😂 fucked around and zombies, and got the D cut keep in mind I didn’t find about the cut until I reinstalled the game. The community is the kind a dedicated in zombies with helping you out getting d cut which I do love

Zombies was indeed S tier, atleast to start. It got worse as time went along but it was leagues ahead of any other zombies, it's just too bad it didn't evolve like trey arch zombies does and some of the EEs are just nonsensical messes

Alright, let's do this again. Despite playing this game all week and sampling every mode, you didn't finish the campaign. In fact, you didn't even start it. After you got the ending you also got a little text popup saying you unlocked Specialist difficulty. You probably clicked through it without wondering what it is, perhaps without even reading it at all. That's because the game didn't tell you that this is where the real campaign starts. Despite being listed below Veteran, Specialist is actually based on Regular, but with a ton of tactical and survival mechanics added to create natural challenge that punishes you for your mistakes in the long term. Health no longer regenerates automatically and must be refilled using stims, but you also have to ration your stims to heal any combination of up to four locational injuries with progressive severities that affect your handling in a variety of ways. Head injuries are instant kills, so you have to use destructible ballistic visors to protect yourself. These also prevent you from suffocating during zero gravity sections. HUD elements are reduced, but a vitals readout has been added to keep track of your injuries. Additional equipment slots are added that you can cycle through with the d-pad to facilitate the extra medical supplies you'll need to carry, but you can also choose to fill them up with twice as many grenades. The level design has been populated with medical supplies in case you run out, which you will. New game + is also baked into any of your replays to give you more opportunities to play with the crazy tools you unlocked by the end. You can see why I said something so extreme at first. What you played wasn't Infinite Warfare - Specialist transforms it into a different game entirely. This will force you to wake up and pay attention to the game instead of sleepwalking your way through it. I'm not sure if you talked over all the cutscenes with Luke or why you had so much trouble understanding the story, cause it's really not that complicated. If this video has inspired you to give Infinite Warfare another shot, I recommend you blitz through your first run if you don't have Specialist already unlocked, then go for 100% on NG+. Main missions are marked in yellow on the system map, so just play those. The high-stakes infiltrations of the side missions are best enjoyed on Specialist where your resources will be severely drained by the ensuing firefight if you're detected. Good luck

This game has a horrible multiplayer, its a extremely underwhelming version of BOW3 (which i wasnt a huge fan of), is filled with microtransactions, pay to win weapons, jetpack movement that was near useless because all the maps are made with the classic formula in mind (deactivate jetpacks and you get mostly flat maps with added verticality but this is fine by me). The story is pure fun like zombies.

Ironic considering I don't care for the world war II games or anything like that the sci-fi call of duty campaign interest me probably because I like Halo.

I played the campaign before COVID hit as I was bored at my brother’s apartment I wanted to quit but my brother wanted to see the ending. So I continued and found I had wasted hours on a mid campaign. The only good character was Ethan yes the fucking robot was the best character.

The dlc multiplayer maps are cool but now are unusable online as no-one plays the online.

The campaign is one of my favorites. Might even be my favorite cod campaign. Zombies is amazing, for sure the best zombies ever imo. Multi-player sucked lol Overall, I love this game. I still go back and play it on a regular. My favorite CoD.

I picked it up for $10 to play modern warfare remastered, can't even download modern warfare remastered through the game or the ps5. Anyone else have that problem?

Infinite Warfare felt like a triology compressed into a single game. So much stuff gets introduced and shoved to the side and introduced and shoved to the side like "got it?! Got it?! Got it?!" . It couldve been a badass new universe in Call of Duty, hell, even a new IP all together.

Call of Duty Infinite Warfare was my first Call of Duty game ever. In December 2020 I was on spring break and after going to a party with my friends we where going to have a sleep over. But first we stopped by Best Buy (I cant remember why) because we live near one and I found a copy of Call of Duty Infinite Warfare on the Xbox One for $20 so I got it as an early Christmas gift. after getting home and booting up the game the 4 of us took turns 1v1ing on the Terminal map because it was the first one to catch out eyes and we actually had fun. Eventually we also tried the Zombies game mode and had a blast all night. So even if it may be a bad Call of Duty game, it will always hold a place in my heart because of the memories I have with it.

The story was not at all hard to follow. “Breakaway Martian colonies that eventually turned to militaristic fascism launch a surprise attack on Earth. Must fight guerrilla conflict to start turning things around.”

IW without variants was fine and the response to the game was overdramatic. MW2019 was painfully worse than this game especially at launch.
