he was really hanging with known steppers and dudes who were really active in the streets. they were living a lifestyle that definitely wasn't going to mix with legitimate music business, but C was feeling himself at the moment and really wanted to show the world he was in the streets. that fame went to his head man because he was 30 when that incident happened.

One thing about the streets of New Orleans is that the streets talk! The streets never ever said that C did that shooting! The 3 names that got mentioned in that killing is 1 person in jail and the other 2 names are deceased! If C knows who did it then that's something he has to live with if he won't say who the actual killer is.
The streets get it wrong sometimes. I know dudes who got killed for stuff they didn't even do. I don't know if he did it or not but I don't see how people can be so sure he didn't if they weren't there when it happened.

Naw, C-Murder didn't do it. He was rolling with a bunch of goons during a time period when there was a lot of beef in the streets and he was around real street dudes. His homeboy did it allegedly and I could see that happening. Everybody already knows a member of his entourage did it or at least that's most likey what happened. That guy is probably deceased by now, but C cares about the reputation he has in the Caliope/Tru records. That's where his mindset is. He's been in prison for 20 years in general population so he's surrounded by people who live by the street code, so it's programmed into his brain to be an honorable street guy. C was definitely trying to solidify himself in the streets when he left No Limit, but I think it was for marketing/promotion. The hood supported him. He's very intelligent but sometimes running with the wrong crowd can bring the worst out in you. He stayed out of trouble under P.
