Have you ever read about Christopher Lee? He was literally one of the most bad-ass people to ever live. He fought in WWII for two different governments, he was responsible for torturing Nazis to get information. Most of his career is redacted. During filming of The Two Towers he asked Peter Jackson if he knew what it sounded like when someone was stabbed in the back. Jackson said no, Lee cryptically said "I do." After that, Jackson stopped trying to tell him how he should act the scene. The guys acting is amazing but only a very small part of his amazing life, I encourage you to read up on him if you haven't.

HE is the one that had Syfo Dias order the creation of the clone army, and HE is the one who had him killed..... Qui-Gon's death -- the death of his apprentice -- was the final straw in what completed his turn to the Darkside. It was LONG before Ep2 ever even came around......Like I said, 10 years to be exact.. He had already grown "disillusioned" with the Jedi order even before the events of Ep1 and finally left the order and completed his turn after the death of Qui-Gon. Go watch TCW and learn a few more things on it. Specifically the episodes about the past and what exactly happened Syfo Dias....... Dooku had already been a Sith for years by Ep2 and the start of the war.

True. But he had no personal attachment to Syfo Dias. He was an obstacle and threatened to expose the flaw in the clones and interfere with the Grand Plan of the Sith. Killing Syfo Dias was necessary. Killing Obi-Wan and Anakin could have been seen as just as necessary, he had already revealed part of the plan to Obi-Wan out of an attempt to sway him to his cause. Now that Obi-Was in on the secret a little bit, silencing him after he refused should have been his next action. But he didn't, and he could have easily. Because at that time he was still emotionally sympathetic to Obi-Wan (though Anakin not so much).

Dooku was very much a Sith Apprentice by the time of Geonosis, however, as has been noted elsewhere Dooku never fully submersed himself in the Dark Side the way Maul or Anakin did. Defeating Obi-Wan by grazing his arm and leg fits in with Dooku's style of lightsaber combat and the fact that he was clearly just out to prove his obvious superiority after Obi-Wan blocked his Force Lightning (the shit-eating grin on Dooku's face before he defeats Obi-Wan proves he was toying with him the entire time). Even with that aside _the guy clearly tried to kill Obi-Wan before Anakin intervened._ After that Dooku dispatched Anakin (who he knew he couldn't kill) and took off his arm. Before he could do anything else Yoda showed up and forced him to flee. If Yoda hadn't shown up then Dooku would very likely have killed Obi-Wan and left. Which would have _beautifully_ suited Palpatine's plans by giving Anakin even more incentive to feel anger, hatred and a lust for revenge against Dooku, furthering his descent to the Dark Side. But Yoda did show up, so Obi-Wan lived.

He also seemed physically exhausted, as even with the Dark Side, he was an old man with waning vitality, health and resilience. He could only boost himself for so long.

I completely agree with you wilbi, I mean the guy spent at least 60+ years as a Jedi Master and then suddenly becomes a xenophobe with a repulsion to cybernetics.. the novelization was mostly good but that was a missed mark indeed.

Yes.....Not only a tool to turn him, But something to keep that connection to the Darkside as well, and fuel himself further......And no, it was just an arm at the elbow down. His power would not have been "greatly reduced" , Have you seen how many Jedi or Sith have missing limbs.... it didn't even affect him. He was still the strongest being in the galaxy until he got cooked alive and had to pretty much start from scratch.

What about the confusing cantina scene with all of it's glaring inconsistencies? Or storm troopers being inaccurate as all sin, despite Obi Wan saying "only a storm trooper is this accurate"? Chewy not getting a medal at the end of Ep. 4? A second Death Star being built within 3 years, despite the first one taking 20? I could go on.

We got to see Vader/Anakin in his prime and just how jacked he truly was and how insane he was with a lightsaber, It gave us the best battle/fight scenes and effects of all, the best acting by far in the PT, and the best storyline of the saga. It set up the entire Original trilogy... Ep5 is great and right up at the top too, but none of them top Ep3. Stop repeating everything you hear from other morons and crying about "the prequels" , Like I said......idiot.

Greg midichlorians are in the body, loss of limb equals loss of midichlorians and therefore power

It's a bit of an inconsistent theory, though. Midichlorian counts were taken per cell obviously, so if it's the total midichlorian count of the body that matters, then total force strength would be the count per cell scaled relative to the size of the body. In other words, yoda should have been quite weak, since he was small. Even if he has double the midichlorian count per cell of a normal jedi, he's probably less than a third of their mass. Anakin had a higher count, and was also much bigger, so he should have been at least 5 times as strong, easily. The idea doesn't really make sense.

Adam Rushing Anakin did not "lose power" by losing half of a limb dude. He was the most powerful force sensitive of all, Of any era, By Ep3. Read the ROTS novelization. Listen to what Yoda says in Ep5. It only really dampened him when he lost all his limbs and was cooked, and then even after that he was STILL 80-90% the strength of Yoda and Sidious.

That's also a bit inconsistent though lol. Most powerful force user, stalemated obi-wan's force-push, and never did anything overly impressive with the force in the movies. It's almost like the prequels were badly written or something...

When I watched it the first time, I thought Dooku was geniunely sorry about being on different sides of conflicts with Obi-Wan and Anakin. You know, appreciated them, but had to fight.
