The recommended build is taken from community data. So in a way, guiders are also crucial part of providing more effective and accurate guide that the game provides.

From what ive noticed the training guide with weapons only shows the weapons you already have and not weapons you do not have

It will always consider 4-star artifact sets to be sub-optimal. At first I was wondering why my Yao yao was in alert but remembered she's equipped with Instructor's.

One thing that guidemakers like you have is that you guys provides insight to the build. "why you want to use this", "why is this working", "why these certain characters have a synergy" etc. I get it that most of casual/newbie player just want to play the game without thinking much of the build, but by providing the insight as i said above at least they can understand why it works.

Hey there Gacha Gamer, I was very interested when you mentioned Lost Prayers on Neuvillette and I thought I'd be able to provide some feeback regarding this weapon's high usage rate First of all, the "Commonly used Weapons Reference" will only suggest weapons that you have on your inventory and will often prioritise 5* weapons over 4*s, In my case, since I don't have Tome of the eternal flow, the training guide suggests using Lost Prayers, Sacrifical Jade or Prototype amber Second, at KQM Standards levels of investment, lost prayers and prototype amber are actually failry competitive with each other to the point where your decision to use one or the other will come down to what mainstats and susbtats you have on Neuvillette Lost Prayers has the added advantage of Crit being a much rarer stat than hp% so most neuvillette builds will prefer using LP + 4p MH for a total of 74 crit rate and use a Crit Damage circlet with High Hp% and Energy Recharge substats to balance out the Crit Rate to damage Ratio and following the 1:2 crit ratio

One thing I noticed about the weapon recommendations is that only show weapons that you have or can be obtained from forging For example, I don't have Nahida's signature weapon, so the guide instead recommends lost prayer, sac frags and widsith, all of which I own.

6:52 For Neuvillette I was recommended 2 4*weapons, so it might be just with the weapons you have. The recommendations were Sacrificial Jade and Prototype Amber

Someone new to a Discord I frequent is just starting out in Genshin, and they were curious about resources for building characters. I gave them a bunch of links, but also told them about the new feature that has just been added. I think it'll help most players, and for the hardcore peeps who want a little more, they're already searching the internet.

I want to point out that the new player guide actually only shows the weapons that you already own, for example my Neuvilette shows: 1. Lost Prayer to the Sacred Winds 2. Prototype Amber 3. The Windsith

i really wish hoyo put a training dummy that could show us avg dps and highest dmg dealt. with this i could try changing my build for the best damage.

We need a "training hall" with a "puppet" in there. You go in and the whole team have full bursts. Then you test your rotaion at the stationary not fighting puppet. If you fail, ESC - Restart and you got your burst energy back! So you can test and LEARN different rotations. Test your artefact damage and so on. I helped a lot of new players and there biggest problem is that they don't know how to "control the teams". Because in the open world you rarely can do a full team rotation at all because they die to quickly. And in Abyss, they move around or hit and interrupt you so that you can't fully focus on that. And the Abyss is only really available for endgame. Or maybe they should add that if you start a domain, you always start with full burst energy! And if you leave the domain, your burst energy level is on the same level like before you entered the domain.

btw the weapon recomendation is based on what weapons u have

The feature is really nice when you're looking to specialize in YOUR account.... But guides come with more than just "how to build" they come with numbers, opinions, etc. Always worth it to watch guides - especially if they play like you / spend like you / etc.

I think why the weapon prototype amber isn't showing up on neuvillette because it only shows you the weapons you own. I tried to see if the game recommended me weapons for characters I don't have their bis for and it never did. So I think it's only weapons you own.

You along with a lot of channels like yours are good for me because it's easier to hear it be audibly explained rather than have to read through walls of text not to mention your showing a visual representation of it at least for my part I'm still gonna watch channels like this when need information for characters I want to go for I'm counting on you when Arlecchino comes out, I definitely need to know if I need to go for the weapon or if a j Spear can be enough.

For the artifacts, it can still (for some reason) recommend you weird combos. I have a 4pc marechausse on hu tao and the training guide recommended I give her 2 star artifacts. Same with my eula who's on 2pc physical and attack, it said I give her travelling doctor lol. It's a nice addition but it's recommendations can be hilarious

It's like, those very few players who never check yt guides, who can't understand much ingame aswell, can make use of this, but regardless of this ingame guide, everyone else will always watch their fav youtubers. At least mihoyo is doing something now for those newbies, i'm glad about it.

Looked at it out of curiosity and it seems to place the green bar for "formidable" where I draw the line between built (but incomplete) and unbuilt characters, so from a casual perspective that's about right.

the one thing I will continue to use is the artifact section, where I can get recomendations for better artifact combinations, based of my currently available artifacts. Already got some minor improvements out of that.

Due to lack of load out I often put unrelated artifact set on my less used character as placeholder. For example my Xinyan has Dehya's Totm, Razor Zhongli's Petra, Thoma Kokomi's Clam, Amber Klee's burgeon set. And these are the one I remember right now. I wonder if more people do this and if so is it going to influence Hyv's data.

All the Training Guide does is show the progression of how built the character is. You can see the color bar on the "Adventure Power", if its red then your character isnt fully built yet and if its green then your character is decently fully built even if some talents arent 7+ like my kazuha at talents 6 6 6. Basically you'd want weapon level at 90, character level at 80 minimum, talents at 6+, artifacts at 20 to be "decently fully built". If they say you need def or atk maybe you can ignore that depending on your character's role. Its honestly helpful to finally show talent books so instead of going to a site I could just look ingame.

I think that guide is very good to make a character usable without much thinking, but to learn how they work, what possibilities you have with them and to make them really strong, guides like yours are still important

Yeah, I'm still definitely going to be regularly checking out guides by you and a couple other creators. Recommendations based on mass user data has value, but it doesn't replace information from dedicated experts.

i use sacred winds as my pieces don’t have much crit rate it just makes it easier for me to build more crit damage and the weapon has been available since launch so many people have it

As many others have said the weapon recommendations are based on what you have which is great. I was even able to cross reference it with a friend for furina and both had different weapons suggested. IMO Training guide is pretty good if you just wanna go for the most used build, which is what most casuals will need anyway, if people want alternate builds well that's where guidemakers come into play. One Issue tho, they need to place training guide in the character menu Ive seen many have no idea where it is.

About the weapons it only shows the ones you posses or can posses like craftables, for example for my neuvilette it shows Prototype Amber, The Widsith and the Balled of the Boundless Blue. Which is nice

As someone who is coming back to the game after months of not playing it's a nice feature as I forgot what was I even grinding before leaving. And don't worry, people will still watch your videos because we still want to hear someone's opinion on the character, explanation of their skills, teams, and a lot of more the training doesn't really tells. You'll be fine lol

I can't garantee but in the weapons tab they mioght show you the currents weapons you have obatained or that you craft. I noticed in Itto's page on the video that they show you his signature weapon, for me the first one is wolf's gravestone

The weapons shown in the character guide are only those that are owned or obtainable from crafting , maybe that's why protopype amber was not visible for you but for me it is because I don't have the pass one .

The weapon recommendations tab apparently just show you the top 3 most used weapon that you have have, so mostl likely in other more f2p player case the proto amber will show up in the recommendations

For a newbie-oriented feature, it does not cater to support builds really well. My Fischl is using Instructor set which is only up to 16 levels; says it weak because using a 4-star. Same goes with my Mona and pretty much any other chara that I'm using 4-star artifacts with like Exile set. The guide really only focuses on meta builds and not niche ones such as support Fischl. It also considers all 4-star artifacts weak at least in terms of damage potential, which misses the point for support roles anyways.

for the weapons section. It goes based off the weapons you currently have. For example your benny showed skyward aquila and sap. But my benny showed skyward mist fav. now as to why mist isnt showed on your screen idk. Do you have mist?

So I use Lost Prayers on Neuvillette for 3 things: the crit rate, the increased movement speed, & the elemental damage bonus the longer your on the field. When I have the sourcewater droplets from both skill and burst on the ground, he stays on the field for quite a while so that builds up. The movement speed is also pretty helpful because I have him C0 so a wet noodle will knock him outta the charged attack, and with the extra speed I can avoid stuff easier. Hope all that helps!

Still hearing and seeing other people builds and opinion is much better than following some in game guide

I think this will help the players who just go through the motions of explore, collect, then level up, the lack of rationale for choosing anything this recommends would mean the player wouldn't actually learn from what it's recommending, especially to those that don't read talent descriptions. For example, when building Charlotte, the top recommends are Berserker and Emblem, however, at this time I was also farming for Navia's artifacts and was getting pieces for Songs of Days Past. So obviously my thought was why don't I just use Songs? Why is one better than the other? Should I be farming this set over this set? What other alternatives do I have? I obviously know why, but a player going through the motions wouldn't learn or actually get better without any explanations to the recommendations, or lack of alternatives. If a CC made a guide based on the Tutorial Guide with only the information it would give, the video would only be a 15 second short. But I guess, as the saying goes in the Genshin community "It's better than nothing..."

Sapwood is great on Benny since high base attack for a 4 star and ER substat, been a staple for him on my account since it has been introduced in the game... If damage showcase either Mistsplitter or Haran for higher buff on the showcase.

Guide makers definitely help me better understand the whys of what equipment to use, and definitely help me understand the full picture of their kit. I will say, I've used the quick equip a couple times when I can't be bothered to pull up a guide on my phone and I forget what's best on someone. It also helped me see if I had potentially better pieces for my Nahida that I locked and forgot about after farming Deepwood for the millionth time.

This is definitely useful but I think there will always be a place for actual human advice aka guide maker content creators. I know I’ll definitely still be watching you and others in addition to using the training tool in-game. Like you mentioned there’s nuances and specific scenarios or builds that the generalized data might not indicate to try out and I personally usually find those really interesting.

It's definitely useful for newbies, and as an older player I like a big data-based feature. On the other hand, this feature won't stop me from watching guide videos from my favorite content creators because hearing a thorough analysis narration hits different, and well.. more thorough, ofc 😊❤

For me when I get new character I look how to build them in gam wand then I look up how to build them on yt so I see what I like more or if it’s accurate to the game just to be 100% safe

Maybe new account will have tutorial pop up to show all the small hidden button like artifact stat recommendation the first time they open the artifact menu.. Just like when we first enter the event the blueish guide pop up..

2:55 I had to check this out and as I am playing Amber as I type, her team is in the guide and mine says "Adventure Power: Formidable, a truly reliable companion!" and I think that is hilarious and cute! Like most of this game this is really just aimed at the casual player who may struggle farming artifacts and weekly bosses and don't realize there is an online community that explains this stuff. This would have been very useful when I started playing and had no idea how to do any of this and couldn't for the life of me figure out how you beat the Geo Hypostasis so I quit for 3 months, unable to raise my characters. Then I discovered guide makers. It's still not the most optimal. HI3 has a similar system which was great when I started playing but I've entered endgame and resources are even harder to get in that game, so I have to look up builds outside of the game so I spend my crafting recourses wisely.

the big thing that its missing that makes guide makers still very much needed is team comps, cool my alheithem is built, wait why isnt he killing everything in my kayea, wander, and lisa team. some characters damage out put changes drastically depending on the team their with, even with the right team not knowing the proper rotation can also effect the result. TLDR guide good, Guide makers better and still recomened

7:28 I do not know why Lost prayer is there, but from what Ive seen, it only shows what weapons you have on your account Also personally my take on the guide is it is a great way for me to track my account progress, i am a compleationist and i want to get most of my characters geared, and the best way to do that is to have some sort of counter in game that can help me with tracking which characters need more investment. I'm almost ar 60 and will definitely use this feature lol

the new training guide is good for quick and temporary build while youtube guide makers are good for long run i usually just quick build using following the guide on yt lol, but after the quick artefact guide has shown, i think it does make it easier considering it use the current artifact player has but if i want to build some team like hyperbloom or combo i always search yt guide makers so it could be properly built ;3

Lost prayers is very versatile and it’s passive is good on literally any catalyst dps, people are using it on Neuvilette for it’s passive, also you can never go wrong with extra crit rate.

One thing about the weapon recomendation in this guide: It just appears the weapons YOU have in your account. Exemple - I have Neuvillete, but I don't have the Eternal Flow and the Sacred Winds - 5* weapons. In my guide, appear Sacrificial Jade, Amber Prototype and the Widsith, because I have this weapons, and even if I have the 5* weapons too, I think will only appears the 3 best weapons for him.

Weapons are either owned, or Craftable Weapons. Relics takes from the Recommended section, which Guide Maker's can influence because they actually know what they are doing rather than most people who go [hp #, attack%+, Crit X, Speed/Crit Rate, Energy Regen] to cover all bases as a 'safety net'... or go full out ATK% 5stars becoming glass nukes...

They need to fix the more monster navigation, it's so frustrating when you only had phone and need to see the interactive map to farm overworld monster matt, and the navigation only show them like 1/3 total everyday and separated very far from each other

The weapon part recommends weapons that u possess including craftables that you dont have the weapon.

I've just checked and now Bennet is showing different weapons but I still see some of choices don't show up like for example: Yelan - Recurve Bow Bennet - The Alley Flash (sweet 620 attack in an otherwise useless sword for anyone else) Nahida - Widsith ( Do I really need to put Sacrificial Fragments on her for an off field build??? ) Raiden - Primordial Jade Winged Spear Sayu - Favonious Sword Yanfei - Shimenawa Set

I'm not sure if the weapons are sorted by usage rate or if there's a % where it cuts off and lists them based on rarity. Looking at the guide it looks like the majority of players just throw on whatever 5-star weapon they have onto a character. If that's true, then it's a good thing they only show the weapons you own, otherwise all the lists would just be 5-stars. I do think it would be good to include the most used craftable/farmable weapon for each character regardless of whether you own it or not. Give it a dedicated "free to play" slot separate from the top 3 ranking.

High priority recommendations on this system: 1. Need craftable and fishing weapons to be represented, even if you don't own them. 2. Crit and ER stat recommendations since it's a gateway to intermediate/advanced knowledge
