The note was in his own handwriting. Sad story, right. Parents in that situation really want to believe foul play was involved. And, it sometimes is. I've had to give the bad news to many parents that the note was authentic. Handwriting doesn't look clean and pretty when a person is in that desperate mental state. At least some closure can be had.
