Hoyokeeps giving lots of love to Firefly, but did they go too far? Can anyone else use this set besides Firefly? Here's my honest take and some info on all the new relic sets we'll get in the next patch.

this set can be used for every break scaling character in firefly team, and in the best firefly team which is ff/ruan mei/hmc and gallagher u can use this on every single character

Yup, Firefly can enable this set on any character for a whopping 40% BE + 6% SPD. But even without Firefly, you're still able to use it in some specific situations.

The 6% speed seems unintentional to me. They wanted to make a planar set for FF who can always have fire weakness implant, wants speed and break effect. Other characters just happen to use it sometimes. It’s the principle of the design.

might of been the worst relic release this game has had in its history. the break set favours firefly for no reason, they had to add the superbreak part just to make it better for firefly and worse for boothill. the followup set isnt even a followup set and is useless on every single unit we currently have in the game, no its bad on jing yuan since his ll is most of his dmg and duke is just much better since it will buff his ult by a lot too, its absolutely garbage on ratio since his ult deals no damage but ony his followups and no its not even a good set for jade, its worse than both duke and quantum since most of her dmg is her followup not her ult. The set is made for yunli who will come in 2.4 but even then they could of just made this an actual followup set for units that want to follow up often like topaz. the followup planar set is actually the only good one, it will be really good on every single followup unit like topaz, ratio, aventurine, clara so atleast 1 usable relic for people that didnt go for firefly. now about the break planar set, its just clear how much hoyo prefers firefly. They could of easily made the relic like: increase speed by 6%. if you attack an enemy with implanted weakness increase break effect by 40%. that way it would still be fireflys bis but also bis for boothill and work on gallagher/ruan/hmc in both break teams it would even work on break silverwolf, but the way the set works now its just not worth to farm for boothill nor any of the supports since you cannot guarantee the weakness unless you use firefly. Sure you could farm 3 of them incase there is a stage weak to fire where u can run boothill but its just unnecessary firefly favoritism.

The planar break set works on units like Gallagher and HMC as they still get the buff if firefly is on there team. The team is universal for all break units as long as firefly is on the team, it isn't exclusive to ONLY firefly. Boothill already has a set for planar being Talia, and for Relic being the same set as firefly. The follow up set works on all follow ups except clara and Topaz. It isn't there BiS because they already have BiS.

100% agree with the Super Break part, that was totally unnecessary :/ For me, the Follow-Up/Ultimate Set doesn't seem that bad. I don't think Jade is going to use Duke, and Quantum is a bit situational for maximum output since it requires Quantum Weakness. As for the Break Planar Set, I don't think it's Firefly favoritism. The Quantum Set exists, and no one says that it's Silver Wolf favoritism. Both can be used in specific situations. Sure, it isn't worth it to focus on farming it without FF since it's going to be situational, but even when compared to Talia, it's a minimal gain on BE.

@@jade7631 ur literally proving my point, unless you have firefly the set is just straight up not worth even for ur supports like gallagher and hmc since they just cant guarantee fire weakness UNLESS its with firefly, just to make it worse for boothill. No talia has been in the game for way longer than boothill and the set is literally just straight up worse than the new one firefly got, it has less be and no speed. yes the set "works" on every fua, but its absolutely trash. There isnt a single fua that hast majority ult damage, the only 2 units that in theory work are jing yuan and yanqing, for jingyuan its just straight up worse than duke since duke will boost his fua and his ult while yangqing is the only unit right now that it would probably be bis for.

@@OkMuzzy have u watched any jade gameplay? Her kit is literally to use her followup as much as possible so a set that makes her followup stronger is better than a set that makes her ult stronger. Her ult literally gives her followup stacks, its her main damage. Duke will absolutely be better on her since it will boos her followup dmg and still boost her ult, and as far as i know quantum is def bis, she is quantum u wont use her in moc unless there is quantum weakness anyway and her for pf her dmg is already enough if there is no quantum weakness. The quantum set and the planar set are just not comparible, the quantum set has been in the game since release and didnt come out with a new unit. Every single dps works on the quantum set even if its not their bis or if enemies dont have quantum weakness, they released 2 break characters back to back, and made the planar set work for one of them every fight while the other one can use it in very specific situations, on top of that the set isnt just better for firefly herself its also better on ruan mei, gallagher and hmc. How is that not favoritism?

@@joey-desu You never stated the relic set was useable on anyone else you only said “on firefly”. But the set works on every character your running with firefly, not firefly alone. It is like Acheron’s Planar set, it isn’t only useable on Acheron, other characters may benefit from it as well. Don’t forget you can also run a break fire team with silver wolf. I didn’t say Talia is better, I said Boothill already has a BiS which is Talia. The follow-up set isn’t meant for any other follow-up character because there is no point, why would it be better than any other follow-up set currently, there already are good ones. The Duke inferno set literally is better than Jade see in all ways. I see nothing wrong with it not working with other characters.
