Good you are pointing this out. It was so annoying hearing my family say 20 times "Oh you can just get hairtransplant, don't worry about it" (I realized I was balding and also couldn't handle the finasteride). Made me depressed ngl. Crazy how many times I have to explain this issue with transplants. Now I'm on fin for 8 months, holding on besides getting some minor sides. Its not a miracle drug though because my hair is still thinning and falling out. So even finasteride + hairtransplant won't save everyone.

Hey Mo, I would be incredibly careful with finasteride. I was like you...listened to Mike Thurston and other guys on RU-vid speaking about it. Took it for about 3 months until I got sides (ED/no libido)...I'm off for 3 months now and nothing has improved. So just be careful. It does not have to happen to you but if you are one of the unlucky guys it can indeed happen. And most of the time ppl are fine when on medication but after they cease it hell begins. You might want to look into Post Finasteride Syndrome. Unfortunately there is very limited information out there because there are close to zero studies which have been conducted yet.

Yeah man, these side effects are probably more prevalent than people realize, probably because a lot of dudes don't like to mention that they ever started hair treatment. I know that for me, I got side effects, but I was super insecure about admitting to even buying finasteride & minox, so I just stopped and never told anyone. And I am 99% sure I am never going to sign up to be one of the patients for any future hair treatment study. So there's some selection bias right there.

Hey Mo, I listened to someone like you saying not to worry about sides years back, so I jumped on fin thinking I’ll be fine and if something were to happen I’ll just stop taking it. I felt like absolute shit when I was taking it, i mean I was walking around like a fucking zombie. My biggest worries were the sexual sides, and everything was more than fine in that department. (So overanalyzing didn’t really cause anything there) It was when I jumped off it , my whole world turned upside down. I was living in hell mate. I’m nearly 6 years now off fin and I’m still dealing with sides Now, this is the whole point Im trying to make. You have a lot of fans that look up to you, (probably a lot of young fans too) and if they are starting to notice some thinning or balding taken place, they might get a sudden urge to pull the trigger now (act fast) after watching your video. They really need to do there research on this stuff mate, you technically are messing with your hormones, I don’t think you hammered that home enough in the video, because if a fan comes back to you and says they are experiencing bad sides, all you really can say is stop taking it or go speak to your GP. I probably will delete this post because I always get some serious hate when I comment on these types of videos. Just trying to spread awareness, we are all built differently. Hair is looking sick by the way, all the best..

Side effects occur low 4-6% I read from some research so to be affected so badly you are just really unlucky. I think its a bit more aggressive than Minoxidil and has a few more possible side effects that come with it. You could try switching to purely Minoxidil and micro needling.
@JDMworx

same happened here with fin, was horrendous, feels like low testosterone kinda sides/borderline depression, which go hand in hand, sluggish, no motivation, zombified, cba to do anything, dont see the point, negative outlook and libido was definately lower, saw it as more of a chore than anything or id have to go like 4 or 5 days of no activity down below before i felt the urge to be up for it/thought of it. I never thought of taking the pill, never worried about the sides cos of the percentage being so low, it was never on my mind but looking back now it was definately present whilst i was on it tried oral minoxidil too, that barely did a thing, not sure if it contributed to the sides as i did oral min for a few months then hopped on fin too, so werent enough time to tell them apart to know which one did it but werent a great time. unlike you, im 2 years off them and only topical min with microneedling and im feeling okay again, not 100% without a doubt but its a hell of a lot better than what it was haha! to anyone reading these comments and debating it, i suggest you research the hell out of it, everything mo says in this video is true, dht etc and supressing it, nothing misleading whatsoever, videos good but just know that everyone is different and bodies react differently, underlying issues, potential sides etc are always a risk edit: i was on for 14months and slowly tapered off, tried the male hair system, which was cool and gives you a confidence boost but the maintenance it requires and stuff, im far too lazy, shaved it all in the end, stuck a hat on, microneedle, topical min and its finally sprouting thru 5months later 👌 see if its enough to keep up with and get away with, if not ill bite the bullet and get a transplant
@MoSamuels1
@MoSamuels1 6 месяцев назад
Appreciate the comment mate. Sounds shit, side effect unfortunately do happen in some people but I stand by what I say when they're very rare. I can't remember if I left this in or cut it out of the video but it's worth getting your bloods done for anyone worried before they take Finasteride - that way you can check where your natural hormone levels are before starting anything may will effect them. For the vast majority of people if they're in a normal healthy range they're going to be completely fine but might want to proceed with caution if testosterone is already low when they start or prolactin is already high etc. then they could either decide to look elsewhere or start at a reduced dosa, like 0.5mg or 1mg every other day (or even topical) to assess tolerance. I think that is something that is worth investing in for anyone looking to start (free T, total T, SHBG, DHT, Prolactin, Estradiol) I can't speak for you but usually it's people who are already endocrinologically compromised (poor sleep, overweight, drink, smoke, 30+) who are prone to side effects. The majority of my audience won't fit that category so should be fine

Thank you for addressing the medication misinformation from other channels. I’ve never seen as much broscience around a topic as I have around finasteride. Ideally, people should be required to prove that they can tolerate finasteride and use it for 2-years prior to being approved for a hair transplant. But at minimum, they need to be on it after the transplant.

@@MrJkca I stupidly switched from propecia to generic finasteride twice in that period and lost quite a lot of hair during that 1-2 months until switched back. Bizarre as it’s the same ingredients. If you dont want take chemical hormone medication and still get a HT: -wait till you hairloss has slowed down almost fully or even stopped(in many cases with mild mpb that would be in your 30s) -use saw palmetto 320mg 95% fatty acids daily to reduce dht around 10-30% -do a master plan for your total available grafts down the road -get a surgeon who can plan the grafts accordingly for future hairloss and surgery With all that you wont end up with a too agressive/young hairline. You will look accordingly to your age and future age. And for the last time dont do the tempels to agressively! You will regret it one day.

The whole you will need to take medication to keep the rest of your original hair isn't strictly true. It all depends on the pattern of your baldness. For example. I lost the front of my hair at age 19 (Norwood 3) I'm still a Norwood 3 at age 43. So 24yrs later my hair loss has remained the same. All men in my family going back generations lose the front part and keep the rest. So I could have a front hair transplant and never have to take medication.

Your transplanted hair isn't going to fall out if you stop using medication. If taken from right donor area, the hair follicles will be there for the rest of your life unless you're experience some type of hormonal imbalance that will cause hair temporarily to fall out but it will grow back. The hairs in the donor area are not sensetive to dht and will not fall out. If you do however stop medication such as fin and min the hair that was supposed to fall out but remained due to the medication will eventually fall out. And no you didn't get ht early.

Got my transplant at 42, but after being stable for 10+ years on minoxidil + Finasteride. It's an absolute must to have your hair loss under control before even considering a transplant. So many people are scared of using Finasterde while its a very safe drug and has been studied for 25+ years on thousands of men. I know one thing for sure: going bald causes stress, depression, anxiety, suicide thoughts and results in serious health issues in many men. Do yourself a favour, save your hair and go get laid 😅

Tell that to all the men around the world who suffer erectile dysfunction because of propecia/finestaride. Some of them have been left with permanent erectile dysfunction. And balding people get laid.

I feel like you should not get a haircut for a long while and just let it grow as much as possible since longer hair is easier to use for hiding a receding hairline and much stronger in the long run.

You’d need to laser the remaining transplanted hair 10 years down the line and rock bald

Does it really look that clapped if you end up having hair at the front and none at the back? People with hair at the front: Joe Biden, Ted Danson, Jon Stewart, Chuck Schumer. Vs guys with traditional bold head like Bernie sanders, Danny Devito. Hmmm?

I think 27-30 is an appropriate age to get it, it’s when you see 20 year olds getting them done it’s like what are you doing. See how your hair is in 10 years and just take medication for now

no. .because being bald when your 60. who cares. Enjoying the years that matter is what matters. Goal is to get up as much money as you can so when your 60 you can still bang out 19 year olds. And being bald on the sides, who cares. I will use every hair on the sides and backs if I have too. Im more annoyed that i feel this way about my hair. It shouldn't even matter..Got to love the programing of society. And you should smp your head it will make your hair look way better, just do the top of your head

Dont take that poison Finasteride, it made me ill AF and im still bad with gut issues and weakness after 3 weeks, also go look at all the people that crash months or years later with massive problems, its not worth it, shave it off or live with it. This guy talks a lot of shit, the pictures he shows are of botched jobs, his hair transplant looks cheap too, i bet hes not even on medication either. If you want a 'real' transplant go see a real clinic/Dr like Zarev! ✌

i dont understand these guys weird "logic" with lowered hairline hair loss progression . Fix your damn hairline bro lol , if you are one of those unlucky ones who will continue to lose significant hair in the upcoming years you will have to go bald and shave it anyway with or without a lowered hairline lol .Why are you doing a damn transplant if youre still looking terrible bro

Exactly and you shouldn't, because donor hair isn't sensitive to dht and will not fall out regardless if you take fin or not
