More like GN gets more clout than they should. Like the intel thing it's been months since intel admitted that it wasn't really a power delivery issue from out of spec voltage and a month since intel admitted they have no idea what the issue is though they did find a bug. But only now is he addressing in a way that is journalistically bankrupt to manufacture a scandal. It's negligent at best and dishonest at worst. third party data breaches are a common thing and they happen with alarming frequency and most of them go unreported. It's news but the way GN reported on it is to generate views not inform.
Me with an MSI Katana Laptop. Cooling is subpar at best. Have to run fans on turbo or will have thermal throttling. Other than that it's great though. Runs anything you throw at it.
@@Leo1995fuli wouldn’t get either bro, I think asrock rn is the best mobo brand to go after their am5 lineup has been phenomenal, im not using one but got two friends who have one and its been issue free compared to my gigabyte board lol…. reviews been good for select models too
sadly, the good tech companies all died or are struggling due to the consumers going for cheaper options from the few scummy tech giants (or cheap crappy chinese copies)... would have liked to have evga components today if they didnt close their doors a few years ago. fractal is slowly going towards the typical large tech company route where profits > everything else, at least noctua is still there doing what they have always done the best: efficient long lasting fans and coolers although their products are quite pricey compared to most of their competitors similar products
I have a 3050 ti Katana. Does yours have the cooling issues like the 3050's? It runs very well with fans on high. Wouldn't dare overclock mine, lol. It would catch fire. Runs Cyberpunk and Starfield like a champ.
@@michaelweems679 no, mine runs fairly cold. the hottest it has ever gotten is about 70C. I'm actually really elated about my card because i seem to have hit the silicon lottery buying my first pc.
It is still a solid trustable brand... probably the most trusted main stream manufacturer... most of the claims are for their AIOs and PSUs released 2 years ago... they acknowledge the model error, their RMA service is awesome and effortless even in the third world country I'm from... their products are solid

I had to RMA my msi b-650 - pro WiFi. While it was out for repair I went and bought a b650 tomahawk. And just for anyone reading this for reference. I came home one day after being out with friend. Hit the power button. Red light of death. Nothing else happened. Unplugged and tried everything. The MOSFET went bad for no reason. And it was sitting off with no electric for about 12 hours.
Ive had nothing but good experience with higher end msi (intel) boards. Msi is hugely partnered with micro center and their bundles which could contribute to the large rma amount. Ill have to watch steves video on it to get more clarification tho
I thought I got unlucky buying some of the same B550s from them to do a few builds. 2/3 had bad socket latches and missing warning stickers over the PCIe cover. And one board had bent pins on the usb 3.1 header. I can’t use those boards in customers builds in good faith even thought all. Run well in testing .
Zack I need ur advice I’m planning to build a pc with a 7800x3d and a 4080 super. Should I wait for the 5000 series gpus and the amd 9000 series x3d chips to come out. 1 to see if there is a better option and 2 to see if prices drop. Like this so Zack sees this
I have the exact same cpu gpu combo and it is amazing, I didn't wait cos you're always going to keep saying that something new is always around the corner. New CPU's are out this summer, but that isn't the x3d chips, so the 7800x3d is still going to be the best cpu. We really don't know when the new x3d chips will launch. For GPU you're waiting until end of year at least, and even then just cos a new GPU comes out, it doesn't make the 4080 super a bad card, I can still play anything I want at 4k max settings, getting reasonable fps. Obviously with stuff like cyber punk you will have to us DLSS or suffer bad frame rate if you want raytracing, but that goes without saying.
I've seen MSI also deny warranty's for exactly the same reason as ASUS. If you buy a pc conponent buy it like it doesn't have a warranty and just get the most durable one
actually proved the jinx isn't a real thing. If he didn't say those words or use that brand, the video was STILL gonna be uploaded by Gamers Nexus. They'd still have 600k+ warranty claims.
I've gotten an MSI router, and my personal experience with their CS after i broke the locking tab for the region prongs was great. They sent me a new power adapter pre assembed free of charge in what was a rather humorous box(it was a micro atx board box turned inside out)😂
MSI makes great products but sometimes has a lot of issues when they launch making over 600,000 warranty claims like when they launched the Vector 17 HX I had to send it back due to them not installing the operating system correctly and I didn’t have a chip to re install it
Last year, I tried to RMA my motherboard to MSI, and the process was causing a headache, but I was still in warranty so I just got a full refund. My Asrock board works well though!
I had got an MSI MPG B550 Gaming Plus motherboard a few years back straight up arrived with bent pins in the CPU socket, so yeah I'd easily believe there's 600k RMA's manufacturing problems happen in everything.
Went to my computer shop back in january for the build. Asked for the same mobo but he literally said to not get it as MSI is not claiming RMA even if there is a scratch on brand new store opened product with video proof. They are being very stringent with RMA as well. So opted for Gigabyte instead.
Msi has had quality issues for years, when I was looking for mobo and GPUs during the nvidia 30 series generation, MSI was the only brand I was avoiding completely because all the nerds were giving data on them being shit
Had two msi boards for a 7700k and 9900k First one the ram slots melted Second one a capacitor popped. Swapped to arourus for a 9900k build and 7800x3d build and ive had zero issues since 😂
Ngl I’ve been disappointed with so many different electronics brands I’m tempted to just go full Apple… until I remind myself of their storage/ram ladder and get disappointed again.
Gigabyte might be a great option. Not sure if they are next to be on the limelight like they had 6 years to an over decade ago. Don’t know what mobo I should get. Maybe Razer should starting making mobos. I wish DXRacer starts getting in the mouse and keyboard biz.

have had a lot of issues with msi myself, not as much with asus, mostly its been software issues with msi like installing drivers disables some i/o ports like usb ports or displayports or hdmi ports, my asus has only been some config issues with overclocking in the bios/uefi like setting a voltage to a certain value but after applying it, its set quite a lot higher or lower than what i had manually set it to
At this point what are the safe and reputable brands for pc hardware especially for stuff like motherboards and gpu's? It feels like all of them are saying, doing or having something happen to them that is damaging or outright destroying their reputations.
i knew for a while now that msi has been kinda sus, their products have been going down hill big time. the mystic lights app that controls their rgb, barely works, and i bought their msi mag liquid 240, the pump light doesn't change colour, mystic lights doesn't see it, and they had to make a version 2, because the first version had contaminants in the water. making cpus over heat. not to mention i had an msi graphics card from like 5 years ago, and it literally burnt itself out within a year.
