Did I Overpay for this Card?? 

$28.80 for this guy....your dam right you overpaid!!! LOL just kidding. You paid for a card you wanted with the thought of holding forever (?) at a price point you were ok with. That's all that matters. Congrats and enjoy! Are you interested in any bridges - I'm looking to sell some.....✌

I love finding a good deal, but as often as that happens I “overpay” for a card too. There are so many times when buying something (particularly something scarce) that to convince someone to remove it from their collection you need to pay “tomorrow’s price” (even if that tomorrow never comes) to put it in yours. Collectors don’t mind this, flippers hate it.

You got a card you really liked and wanted. So no I don't believe you overpaid for it. The value of cards isn't just about what it last sold for, though that certainly is a big part. Very nice card and glad you were able to get something you obviously enjoy at a reasonable price IMO.

But you like it and have a Doc autograph now.

Sorry doc 😊 You underpaid. In my humble opinion, you seem to “devalue” the idea of modern rare (low print run or sp) cards to the point of them / any cards having any dollar value past a couple of bucks . Don’t get me wrong, I agree with a ton of your content and I’m a collector of baseball cards for sure . I do like knowing I could buy and sell a “rare ish “ modern or other card / collectible for more than $28 and feel okay about it . Respectfully
