To be honest, excluding shocker , everyone among the sinister six of this game has powers... Scorpion has super strength, durability and reflexes. Rhyno as above, but doubled Mr. negative has behavior manipulation too.
I love the part where when May was dying, Peter was so close to use the antiserum to save one person out of thousands. It shows that Peter is not just a hero, but also a human.
And that what he was about to do was selfish and unnecessary. Like Xavier stated in the video, it's about willing to handle loss and moving on for the greater good. Even Peter Parker/Spider-Man can't stay young forever.

@@thatsprettyspicy7176 ye because its still gonna be running on the same engine. Even Miles Morales runs on a slightly modified engine of the first game, so it looks a lot better, but it still has the same flaws like how unrealistic some buildings look at night.

You absolutely nailed that part about Spiderman being a proper adult for once in these recent incarnations. Though I feel like the threat of him forgetting responsibility was the whole point of Spiderman 3's stranger characterization, the latest wins in his life made him overconfident and careless before Venom came in and basically the black suit only gave him more power and so confidence which in my opinion is a perfect allegory for what was already in him. So to me that sets it apart from the very irresponsible Andrew Garfield Spiderman disregarding Gwen's father, or Tom Holland's which people can go easy on cause he's "just a kid". Though I feel in that case the lack of growing up is more naturally concealed as taking time to progress and the next movies will probably be where he steps up and grows as a person since it mirrors "One more day" in wanting things to go his way but having to face the fact he can't.
I get what you're saying and honestly agree with the general argument of Peter's behavior prior to the black suit in Spider-Man 3 being very much intentional for the story they were trying to tell, I just think the issue is that I could NEVER see that version of Peter being so braindead and so careless that he'd straight up kiss another girl the same way he kissed Mary Jane while knowing she's right there, and then just not see the issue with that until she quite literally tells him. Peter having flaws and making mistakes is integral to the black suit story, but this just feels like they pulled said flaws and mistakes out of their asses because it doesn't feel at all in character.
I play this game all the time, and this vid showed me how OP the spider drones are. So I'm always fully upgrading them, and I've started calling them Charlie. This led to everyone in my family referring to the drones as Charlies. So I'll be fighting a group of enemies, and my little brother will be like, "Release the Charlies!"

MHMD the novelty I suppose, plus I can't help but laugh at a suit that has a kick me sign on the back. Also I think they would be a change up from the monotonous spider armor suits featured in the game. Would you rather I like the grey spiderman suit that makes him look like a gay hairdresser?

Prob not, i don't like the look of the advance at all, looks weird and lame to me, prob the only thing i like on it, is the white emblem, thw rest of the design just doesn't do it for me, till the rest of the suits unlock, i stick with classic suit
That was probably the best RU-vid video I've ever watched. Honestly I thought it was Evan but it being renegade spiderman was much better. Someone who took all of Xavier's self doubt and fear and used it to achieve his goals... Getting over the biggest milestone in his RU-vid career so it'll be smooth sailing. So, with Mr. Negative being cared about again, can we get Anti-Venom back? I liked Eddie as Anti-Venom and it was a good, new, way to reinvent his character. Giving Venom to Flash also made for fun, different, things you couldn’t get with Eddie
I agree, MJ SHOULD still be an actress and can be more more active. She can be like Axel Foley in Beverly Hills Cop 1 & 2. Axel was a con from the streets who used his skills to become a good cop. He acts quickly on his feet to pass himself off as someone else to get himself outta trouble. MJ could do this, pretending she's a villain's girl or something.

I disagree. MJ's and Peter's interactions have way more potential if MJ's works as a reporter because it kinda pushes MJ into some of Pete's world. It also gives MJ to do something in the story outside of just moral support or damsel in distress.
I feel like she could use her acting skills to get in good with villains and cops and shit, that could set up a plotline where she gets found out, or the authorities think she's a real villain or an accomplice or something, but she uses her time in their custody to gather intel n stuff. Or maybe a scene where she gets found out by the villains and has escape in her own, but take one of their guns and we get a fuckin shoot out with help from Spider-Man, like the GCS scene in this game. That way she can still stay in Spider-Man's world without feeling off. Idk, those just some ideas that came to mind reading this comment.

When you press x after the web strike with triangle he actually does exact the same animation like in web of shadows I’m kind of triggered cause I love this attack in game good video

@@omkarpatole9013 and the much higher skill ceiling in swinging. don't get me wrong i love swinging in spider man ps4 but in wos you can do so much cool stuff. and some i REALLY don't like about the smps4 game is the wallrunning, if you go in a straight line it's totally ok, but if you somehow want to change direction it's a nightmare for me, oh and you can't run DOWN walls wich is dumb.

This is hands down my favorite interpretation of the character and the end really got me as I thought they were going to pull another one more day moment and make him pick the wrong choice.
A Naughty Dog Daredevil game would be awesome. The combat from Uncharted would be good as it’s more brawling as opposed to acrobatics, and the grappling hook for Uncharted 4 would feel great for Daredevil swinging from his billy clubs.
B.Barnes WS Daredevil is one of the best fighters in the entire Marvel universe, coming close in capabilities to Iron Fist and Black Panther. The combat system from uncharted doesn’t do him or any real superhero justice
I saw your old "retrospective" series and had a lot of fun. As soon as I finished spider man ps4 I instantly searched your channel and was glad that you are still around. Keep up the good work man.
You know, looking back, this game also seems to take a decent number of concepts from the Ultimate Spider-man Cartoon we’re all ambivalent towards. Harry being Venom, Oc working for/with Norman and hating him, Harry being Venom, and Miles being Peter’s sidekick/protege. Which is odd, but so far it’s been executed very well, so I’m optimistic they’ll be able to pull it off.

I actually like the Miles segments. They remind me of just how dangerous the villains are and I actually find them fun given his hacking gimmick. I kinda forget the bad guys are a threat sometimes given how often I beat them up easily. Edit:But I never found Mj’s sections fun. Her gimmicks were not as cool to me.
Godzillamendoza...i just started watching your videos tonight and they are great! I particularly enjoyed the last 10 minutes of this one when I explained that this is the best spider-man man game yet BECAUSE of its predecessors. They have all been great games (especially web of shadows) and u did an excellent job reviewing it in my opinion. And on a side note u crack me up lol. Keep it up man.
The point is that most can't, many people expected this to be the biggest game ever for some reason, but it's not, very few games have that high of a budget and when they do the loads are long as shit and there are more glitches than there would be
@IHasNoLife Productions Games like God of war, Uncharted and the Last of Us aren't open world since they are more linear they can do better in modeling the precreated spaces. If you look for games that look better than in E3 take a look to GTA V or Red Dead Redemption 2 they look good but the loading times are absolutely disgunting and they have serious framedrops.
Ironically I just threw the game in last night for the first time in over a year to new game+ it on Spectacular, and they STILL haven't patched that cutscene.
I watched quite a load of Spider-Man PS4 Videos and holy crap! can we just all agree that this Video is the best Video about Spider-Man PS4. Honestly, I feel that way, yet I don't say that PS4 Spider-man is the best but you even addressed that, I feel we have so many Spider-Man Games that "The Best" can't be said easily about this Game, but again this Video is the Best about PS4 Spider-Man and it was worth the wait. @@mirewalker Whitelight's Video was longer and even pointed a flaw out that I hate about Spider-man PS4 but in the end he just fell flat with "yeah it's the best" or something like that, lacking a satisfying note that this Video had, crediting all the major games before it and EVEN mentioning One More Day oO
Whitelight's video was more detailed and pointed out more flaws, and did have a satisfying conclusion. It wasn't that "yeah it's the best", it was "yeah, this game is pretty good and the series has a lot of potential. Web of Shadows is still better, in many regards, but if you hold the opinion that this one is the best I won't challenge you to a debate or anything." This video appealing to you as a comic book fan is nice and all, but Whitelight's was objectively superior and you can SEE that Xavier is tired of these videos.

The suspension matrix is good for getting some breathing room when the enemies get too relentless but it is a little too odd for Spider-Man. Combining it with trip mines makes it a little better
Spider-Man Ps4, Spider-Man into the spider verse, Spider-Man 1 and 2 , Spectacular Spider-Man, TASM SPIDER-MAN (1990), Ultimate Spider-Man the game, and Web of shadows are my favorite renditions of Spider-Man.
Trizton 1994 is Spider-Man from the Animated universe first appeared. Edit: Nevermind. Around 1992-93 he appeared as cameo in the Dark Phoenix saga in the X-Men Animated Series.
No one ever really mentions it, but the choices for music you include in your videos are AMAZING. Every time a new song pops up in the background, it completely takes over my conscious, and usually matches the tone of whatever the video is talking about at the time. For example, in this video, you used a radiohead song I liked a lot, and it fits in like gears in a watch. In fact, you used the song, "Ascension" by Tycho in your Arkham Knight part 2 review, and it completely made my mind go to a mushy pulp of music and Batman satire. I applaud your choice of music in your videos and encourage you to continue to amaze my senses with the unison the sarcasm and sweet tunes bring to my cranium. Thank you.

a daredevil game would actually be amazing. plus, if they made it in the same universe as spider-man ps4, they could make a marvel games universe, and let's be honest, that would just be printing money.
My headcanon for MJ is that she used to do actress stuff before the game, more towards the earlier days of Spidey's crime fighting. If this comes to be actual canon, maybe we can see some of that stuff in the sequel? I know it's a stretch, but maybe it could work.

One of the backpacks has a school newspaper article written by MJ, showing that her career as a journalist in this game started years earlier. I don't understand why so many people want MJ to be an actress in this game or other adaptations. It's the least interesting part of her character (only topped by her being a supermodel). At least as a journalist she has agency in the story and has actual reasons to be involved in the plot.
I cried during aunt May’s death not even jokers death in arkham city got me in tears it still hit me but peter losing his aunt is something that we’ve all gone through we’ve lost someone real close to us and that can affect us
SJ RANKS Same. I personally remember being like...”Well at least Gotham is safer now” I didn’t really feel that emotional over the Joker’s death. Aunt May’s death definitely was more emotional for me especially since this was probably my favorite Aunt may interpretation since Spectacular Spider-Man.
Spider-man I can’t tell which doc ock is the best Alfred Molina in Spider-Man 2 was awesome and was a very sympathetic character but the version in the game has a relationship with peter and is just as relatable as Alfred Molina’s version it’s like apples and oranges I can’t decide

The concussive blasts are actually extremely useful, the key is combining them with web bombs. If you can web a bunch of enemies and then blast them to a wall, you've basically one shotted several enemies at once.
Well, I mean, I actually hate the fact that the suits have a more orange shade of red. That’s why I hate the advanced suit and never use it. And Mr Negative has superpowers, so 2 villains. “This leaves a power vacuum in the crime business, so Mr Pessimist and the Sinestro Corps...” Okay, that is genuine comedy. 26:19
The suit isn't the only thing that red being made more orange. Marvel lately is turning all their redheads like MJ or Jean Grey into carrot-tops. They're not the same, carrot-top isn't redhead and orange isn't red.
In earlier trailers and builds of the game, the color of the suit was much more red. Don't know why they changed it. I would just change the settings on your tv.
Love you doing a bunch of game reviews, when it comes to super hero game reviews your my go too, if I had any suggestions it would be prototype, still super hero game but could branch you out further from just the Spider-Man guy plus story aside it’s a fun game with a mediocre skill tree that when fully utilized can make you feel stronger with each upgrade, which I’m assuming you already played seeing as you referenced it in the hulk retrospective, I just think it’d be really cool to hear your opinion on the two games
I actually didn’t find the stealth repetitive even when you were miles or MJ I found them pretty fun and a good change of pace from punching someone and throwing them off a building
Nah man I was stuck on the MJ mission in Norman Osborn's house. I was looking for the key for so long that I had to look up a playthrough to see it was behind the picture
@@glowbuilds744 If you listen to Norman's recording to Emily (his dead wife) in his apartment he says that he left the key with her. And the first time you pick up that picture MJ says "Feels like something's attached to the frame", even if you haven't listened to Norman's recording yet.
While I understand some people not liking the MJ stealth missions, I disagree when they say "they're all the same". Each mission gives you a new ability - knocking over objects, throwing the distraction discs, getting Spidey to take out the Demons, and the stun gun.
