I'm a new Muslim, a woman of 64 years. Embraced islam on 21 April 2023 in UK. I was initially a Hindu and later turned an Agnostic. All praise belong to the true and only one Majesty of the all creations and sustained. I've read new testament as well old testament before studying Qoran. What I've found that the real scripture of Bible in Aramaic does not exist. Hence the translation from aramaic to Latin cant be authenticated. And english translation from latin remains full of doubts. For instance the name Jesus is a translated name and not the real name. Jesus the god even looks european man with blonde hair and blue eyes while we know he was a middle eastern dark skinned man. So from skin colour to mist of the verses have been riddled with corruption. While Qoran is preserved in original language it was revealed which is in Arabic till date.

Ive been struggling for a while now on the christianity/islam debate in my head. This here video has just tipped the scales for me. I will be converting to islam at the very first opportunity i can.
I shifted to Unitarian Christianity in the past six months and never believed I would ever have the reverence for Islam that I do today. I'm beginning to think Islam might be closer to the original Biblical understanding of Jesus than most Christian churches are today. I'm impressed and want to know more. Jesus Christ is still at the center of my faith, but as mediator and not God. If you told me I'd be here a year ago I would have never believed it.

It's explicitly explained nowhere in scripture, yet considered a foundational salvation issue for the vast majority of Christians. I still consider the Bible the text I use to inform my faith. I no longer view the Bible as inerrant though. I consider it a historical document written by humans and not as a perfect text 100% crafted by God. I've spent years diligently studying scripture and the more I learn, the more I want to distance myself from mainstream Christianity. When I started seeing blatant forgeries in the text used to support Trinitarian views it set off alarm bells. Lately I've been reading the REV which is generally pretty good IMO. I don't believe there is a best translation. Step Bible with original language mappings is the best tool I'm aware of for seeing through translator bias. I'm relatively ignorant of Islam, but at the very least they maintain that there is one God, the God of Jesus Christ. To follow Jesus is to follow his lead in submission to the Father and not to prop up our Messiah into being equal with God like Christians do. Jesus is subordinate to the Father everywhere in scripture, even in his most exalted state.

Just to add from the materialistic point of view neurons in the brain are responsible for our thinking and reasoning processes. The only other part of the body where neurons are present are the spinal cord and the heart. Of course as Muslims we also believe when our brain are dead, the soul can still think and reason. Alternatively we can just view the verse as how the language is used idiomatically. Example "running a business" does not really mean to run or to walk but to manage.

The name for the Creator is not critical ... because it depends on different human tongues in pronunciation. For example, people can call the Creator as God in English, Elohim/Eli in Hebrew, Elah in Aramaic, Allah in Arabic, Theos in Greek, Deus in Latin, Dieu in French... and whatever in Indian, Chinese... Do not blame on man, but wonder why God created various tongues for people? and did the Creator plan to enforce people to speak in Arabic only? The big difference in various religions is their "different God concepts" (not the different God terms!), and the big difference in monotheism (such as Judaism, Christianity, and Islam) is their "different One God concepts". By the common understanding, the True God is "the unique one" who caused Himself for his self-existence and eternity without limitation by any dimension (time, space, matter, creature, relation...). So, people can expose three critical different issues for monotheism are: (1) How to understand about the "oneness of God"? Is the true God like "one single divine man ... eternally located in heaven only" (as expected in Judaism and Islam), or like "3 distinct divine persons (namely the F/S/H with different roles) existing everywhere and anywhere as desired at the same time"...as commanded by Jesus Christ Himself in his baptism format? (2) Can the true God have his basic power for his manifestation, appearance, and/or incarnation in some visible creature forms as desired, such as angel, man, flame, fire..., for his direct communication to his prophets and people, or did the Almighty God always need the assistance of his angels for his indirect communication to his prophets? In another word, does God have his capability to exist in his matter or creature form as desired? (3) Where and how did God create Adam in heaven or earth? And why the Quran Allah did not order Adam to prostrate Allah, but he ordered all angels to prostrate Adam first, and also allowed Satan to tempt Adam in heaven? Was Allah's action to Adam a pre-destination or a test purpose?

Therefore "allah" is not the equivalent of the aramaic word "alaha". The arabic word for god/God is ILAH. Both are generic words for god/God and are used also for false gods. The Quran was originally written in Syriac Aramaic by Christians and was a collection of hyms and poems dedicated to Jesus. It was later rearranged in Arabic and in doing so, it changed some of the meanings of the text and other stories from Jewish sources were added. This leads me to believe that Muhammad and Islam in general is the antichrist which means “instead of Christ” as the name Muhammad(the praised one) was a title given to Jesus originally and was later given to the so called “prophet of Islam” by Abdul Malik. Only God is to be praised, and so the title “the praised one” given to a mere man is blasphemy.

Well according to native arabs the true name of Jesus in arabic is Yeshua not Isa. 1. Jesus Christ in Christianity do not do or practice Taqiyya. 2. Jesus Christ in Christianity do not worship or kiss black stones. 3. Jesus Christ in Christianity heals teaches to love one another and forgive sins, he do not say attack the Romans and get the blondie girls. 4. Jesus Christ in Christianity died on the cross and resurrected to life and ascended into heaven and sits on throne and all the dominion in heaven and earth is given to him by the Father, therefore he is God.

I thought of this too when I first discovered that "God" in Aramaic is something like "Allah" or "Alaha". Behold! he cried to his Lord in secret, 4. Praying: "O my Lord! infirm indeed are my bones, and the hair of my head doth glisten with grey: but never am I unblest, O my Lord, in my prayer to Thee! 5. "Now I fear (what) my relatives (and colleagues) (will do) after me: but my wife is barren: so give me an heir as from Thyself,- 6. "(One that) will (truly) represent me, and represent the posterity of Jacob; and make him, O my Lord! one with whom Thou art well-pleased!" 7. (His prayer was answered): "O Zakariya! We give thee good news of a son: His name shall be Yahya: on none by that name have We conferred distinction before." 8. He said: "O my Lord! How shall I have a son, when my wife is barren and I have grown quite decrepit from old age?" 9. He said: "So (it will be) thy Lord saith, 'that is easy for Me: I did indeed create thee before, when thou hadst been nothing!'" 10. (Zakariya) said: "O my Lord! give me a Sign." "Thy Sign," was the answer, "Shall be that thou shalt speak to no man for three nights, although thou art not dumb." 11. So Zakariya came out to his people from him chamber: He told them by signs to celebrate Allah's praises in the morning and in the evening. 12. (To his son came the command): "O Yahya! take hold of the Book with might": and We gave him Wisdom even as a youth, 13. And piety (for all creatures) as from Us, and purity: He was devout, 14. And kind to his parents, and he was not overbearing or rebellious. 15. So Peace on him the day he was born, the day that he dies, and the day that he will be raised up to life (again)! 16. Relate in the Book (the story of) Mary, when she withdrew from her family to a place in the East. 17. She placed a screen (to screen herself) from them; then We sent her our angel, and he appeared before her as a man in all respects. 18. She said: "I seek refuge from thee to (Allah) Most Gracious: (come not near) if thou dost fear Allah." 19. He said: "Nay, I am only a messenger from thy Lord, (to announce) to thee the gift of a holy son. 20. She said: "How shall I have a son, seeing that no man has touched me, and I am not unchaste?" 21. He said: "So (it will be): Thy Lord saith, 'that is easy for Me: and (We wish) to appoint him as a Sign unto men and a Mercy from Us': It is a matter (so) decreed." 22. So she conceived him, and she retired with him to a remote place. 23. And the pains of childbirth drove her to the trunk of a palm-tree: She cried (in her anguish): "Ah! would that I had died before this! would that I had been a thing forgotten and out of sight!" 24. But (a voice) cried to her from beneath the (palm-tree): "Grieve not! for thy Lord hath provided a rivulet beneath thee; 25. "And shake towards thyself the trunk of the palm-tree: It will let fall fresh ripe dates upon thee. 26. "So eat and drink and cool (thine) eye. And if thou dost see any man, say, 'I have vowed a fast to (Allah) Most Gracious, and this day will I enter into not talk with any human being'" 27. At length she brought the (babe) to her people, carrying him (in her arms). They said: "O Mary! truly an amazing thing hast thou brought! 28. "O sister of Aaron! Thy father was not a man of evil, nor thy mother a woman unchaste!" 29. But she pointed to the babe. They said: "How can we talk to one who is a child in the cradle?" 30. He said: "I am indeed a servant of Allah: He hath given me revelation and made me a prophet; 31. "And He hath made me blessed wheresoever I be, and hath enjoined on me Prayer and Charity as long as I live; 32. "(He) hath made me kind to my mother, and not overbearing or miserable; 33. "So peace is on me the day I was born, the day that I die, and the day that I shall be raised up to life (again)"! 34. Such (was) Jesus the son of Mary: (it is) a statement of truth, about which they (vainly) dispute. 35. It is not befitting to (the majesty of) Allah that He should beget a son. Glory be to Him! when He determines a matter, He only says to it, "Be", and it is. 36. Verily Allah is my Lord and your Lord: Him therefore serve ye: this is a Way that is straight. 37. But the sects differ among themselves: and woe to the unbelievers because of the (coming) Judgment of a Momentous Day! 38. How plainly will they see and hear, the Day that they will appear before Us! but the unjust today are in error manifest! 39. But warn them of the Day of Distress, when the matter will be Xedetermined: for (behold,) they are negligent and they do not believe! 40. It is We Who will inherit the earth, and all beings thereon: to Us will they all be returned.

@@manofwar2354 From my understanding, there were some Greek ( Hellenistic) communities close to the towns where Jesus walked and talked. So I see no reason why Jesus may not have spoken some Greek.

And the LXX was made for the Jewish community in Egypt when Greek was the common language throughout the region. Analysis of the language has established that the Torah, (or Pentateuch), was translated near the middle of the 3rd century Before Christ and that the rest of the Old Testament was translated by the 2nd century Before Christ. Remember that the Israelites did not have Hebrew scrolls because of the Babylonian diaspora. As for Aramaic, Jesus lived in the kingdom of Judea where they spoke Aramaic.
To those who argue that Jesus did not call God Almighty, Allah, by name, we Muslims ask, did he call God Almighty, God or god in the language he spoke?
