I feel like a lot of the celebrity makeup brands have a higher price tag because of the name attached to it. For example, Halsey’s brand, about face, is expensive for what it is. I’m not sure, but I feel like she may have lowered her prices a little because when it first came out, I remember thinking the eye paints were ridiculously priced and the last time I checked the prices, about a week ago, they seemed a little more reasonable but still on the higher end of prices for that type of product. The only celebrity brand, I can think of off the top of my head, that is properly priced is Drew Barrymore’s brand “flower beauty”.

Rare beauty, the selena gomez brand, isn't very expensive. But most celebrity brands are pretty much out of my price range, so I get your point. Especially if the celebrity is extremely popular, like Gaga is

most of the time, you are paying for the name, but cheaper products tend to be made w ingredients that aren't great for your skin (unless ofc you buy elf products). i guess in this case the bronzer is $40 bc it has gaga's name attached to it & also fermented arnica oil and plant squalane as top ingredients

Haus Laboratories, despite being an amazon exclusive, was in the top 3 grossing celebrity makeup brands.. behind Fenty Beauty and Kylie Cosmetics. They made $142M. Kylie made $180M. So it definitely wasn't flopping ☺️

From the promo images I get the idea that the *primary* function of the pigment paints is to do bold, graphic designs like graphic liners and such with them! But they can also be used as shadows etc like you used them. Which is pretty cool really! They definitely feel more 'Gaga' then the previous Haus Labs products already! I can see fans at her shows coming with full faces of pigment paints

That ultra-fast dry down on the Hy-Power Pigment Paints sounds like like the about face Phluid Eye Paints. To me, these sound like they’re more for high-impact graphic uses, rather than something soft and blended.

You're likely very correct for fair-to-medium complexion persons. It was occurring to me today, having popped into Sephora to try out some swatches (apparently the roll-out isn't nationwide yet) that deeper and darker complexions for whom high pigment, instantaneous payoff is more likely to be able to use in an everyday, daily, daytime setting - depending on the shade, natch.

Honestly I’m not mad about the prices. I mean think about it. We were out here spending $50 on Marc Jacobs bronzer and $38 on Becca highlighters. For the quality formulas and packaging that everything has I think it’s a somewhat reasonable high end price point. Love these products.

That’s true. But it’s actually true that incorporate skincare elements in makeup is expensive. The concentration and presentation is different. For example, you could find very affordable hyaluronic acid serums, but you cant use that serum and mix with a lipstick, actually the way you must mix AHA to a lipstick is veeeery specific and exoensive, the concentration must be huge in a pretty dense formula. I think we dont need skincare in makeup, bc we have to use our skincare responsibly in the right ammounts, so why include in makeup also?

I love her products but for a full face I would break the bank! I just tried the elf cream shadows in the pot and omg they are phenomenal and usually I domt dig elf eyeshadows! Have you tried those yet? Love your videos!

Can I ask where you got those? I can’t find them on the app or their website. I love their putty eye primer, and the shade I use is my exact skin tone, but they stopped making it. Their customer service sucks and lied to me when I asked what happened to them. They said they were sold out and that’s why they were taken off the site. I need a new eye primer when my putty primer is gone and I am lost on what to try. Their current primer in a tube with a doe foot applicator sucks, so that’s a no for me.

@@trishamarie So actually Bzzagent sent me a few to try free for review and I cant find them on their site either so I'm thinking it's a new product they are about to launch. I'll email bzzagent and ask them how to get them and reply to you. When I tell you I love them and they are so good I mean it! I usually hate cream shadows to! @@trishamarie same girl. Their putty primer in rose was the only cool toned fantastic primer that matched me perfectly. I can't believe they discontinued one of their most popular formulas in the primer. Their regular primer in the tube is crap but those Putty eye primers were everything. I've settled for the Fenty or ABH but neither are the same in finish or shade

Thanks for this video Manny! I'm a Gaga fan as well but I've never understood Haus Labs. Unlike other celeb brands like Fenty or Rare, Haus Labs doesn't seem to have a clear concept or purpose. The rebrand was necessary but it still looks uninteresting to me and without a clear target demographic. We'll have to see how it evolves though

I have intentions on using the pigment paints for bold wing liners. I wanted multiple colors but the price tag shook me so I only ordered white to try it out. I hope makeup brands start doing exactly that. Allowing us to plant the boxes and have seeds sprout and grow like come on that's literally giving back to the earth.
