When I lived in an apartment my rent was raised yearly. I started out paying $605, and it gradually went up to $925 in an 8 year time frame. I moved to a cheaper place and now own my own home. Raising rent is always going to happen.

It's not always the parents....some parents do do they're job by trying to raise their kids the best they can...she's a grown woman....I'm sure her parents have not a damn thing to do with this....ugh 😒🙄

It’s hilarious she puts so much stock in this company (or whatever the right word is) handling the rent increase when it goes her way, but a month later the same company says the opposite, basically that they had it wrong she says they don’t know what they’re talking about any more. I love it.
The only thing that frustrates me about JJ is that she makes it seem like it’s very easy to move. Everything is extremely expensive. You have to pay first and last months rent and a security deposit. Sometimes we humans live from paycheck to paycheck and can’t just up and move. ( this is in general and not specific to this tenant)
She doesn't make it seem easy, she's just stating a fact. If you find that you don't like where you're living then you make a plan and move. You can't constantly force a landlord do what you want because you don't like it. Some of these tenants that have been on here are nightmares and make me glad that I'm not a landlord.

The only thing that I didn't like about Judge Judy was she said "If people don't like where they live, they move." Especially right now. I live in a college town and not many employers pay a living wage, and yet housing keeps going up or going to college students. I am now living with a friend who is being awesome and charging me $200 because everything else is ridiculous or for college students. And not everyone has that option. I was living somewhere else with awesome roommates but they are selling the house.
You should look into a trade school, become a welder, electrician, pipe fitter, ect....you're responsible for your future and you will regret that you didn't improve yourself when you are older. I became a Boilermaker in my 30's, I refused to be a victim of circumstance.
sounds like you dont have any attachments in that town.... and not every town has a college. "moving" doesnt just mean down the street. sometimes folks move across the world to live a better life.. God's Green Earth is vast.
Los Angeles is tenant friendly. Tensnt called housing after I started renovated unit. The unit was in raw condition and tensnt wouldn't let me in to complete renovation. He called housing and they said I had to repair the unit. Also, there us a rule tenant doesnt have to let you in from one department, and the other department is telling me to complete. I paid the tensnt to vacate for 3 weeks so I could finish the renovation. He took the money and stayed in the unit. Each time I sent to court I lost. After exhausting my finds, having tenant owe me over $35,000 in unpaid rent and wanting additional money to vacate, I was at wits ends. After 3 years of this including covid rules, I'm lucky to still own my unit.
Raised from 300 to 600? Really happy to not live there. Here we fortunately have limitations on rent increases. 5% per year. With a few exceptions, such as if there are major renovations and such.
Here in Ontario, the landlord can only raise the rent once every 12 months and depending on the type of residence they can only raise it based on the yearly legislated amount, i.e. 1.8% in 2019, 2.2% in 2020, 0% in 2021, 1.2% in 2022. Plus they have to give the tenant 90 days notice of increase on an N1 form. No proper notice, tenant doesn't have to pay increase.
Here in the U.S. the rent changes per state. Florida is the highest they can increase it by 29%. My husband and I bought a house because it’s cheaper to own.
You cant rent stabilize someones home. people can charge a billion dollars in rent for their homes if they like. You can only rent stabilize apartment buildings with several apartments
I am a landlord n if my tenant and i say all the time don't be an unbearable tenant just leave .a tenant can live anywhere they want to... sometime ur lenient so u hold off on raising the rent n wen the rent is raised they try to fight it instead of leaving.if something is wrong with the apt n u feel like it's not being fixed fast enough don't argue just leave..n when notice is given to evacuate apt don't say ur not leaving just leave..it's like whenever a tenant wants to leave I say no problem but when u want them to leave it's always an issue
For salvation, we just need to follow the way they did it in Acts? They were baptized in water for the removal of sins and filled with the Holy Ghost. Acts 2:38! Here's why! The gospel is the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. 1 Corinthians 15:1-4. If we are to follow him, we must do the same thing. Death= repentance, Burial = baptism, and resurrection = being filled and rising again from the dead and walking in the newness of life. That's what Acts 2:38 is. One is a WORK of your OWN RIGHTEOUSNESS OR GOOD DEEDS and the other is a WORK OF FAITH or OBEDIENCE TO GOD.
