No need to feel bad. I’m just doing my best to live exactly as the messiah did. He obeyed all the laws so I’m going to play it safe and do the same. And no one has it figured out. That’s the point. People who don’t rely on the government for solutions make Alaska great, more than any politician ever could!
@@Alaskan_Gnome_Lore well, to be more clear between us, I do not rely on the government....but still voting because I was born and raised here, my family goes back generation upon generation, centuries upon centuries, so the thought of Alaska being turned into another shitcan Californication makes me want to vomit. In the physical realm, it's the only way, by voting, can anyone stand up and push back against the onslaught of endless P3DO-pushing, Pink-haired, tuu-tuu wearing, childTRAPHiKing, anti-bang-bang, antifreespeech (can't even write the actual words I want to say or my post to you will get zotted). So, my vote won't make a difference? At least I tried and the more good folks who try, the more [THEY] know we haven't given up like some squishy-soft weak-kneed metromale dressed up in tighty pants. I believe in God The Father. I believe in Jesus Christ. I believe in The Holy Spirit. I believe Make Alaska Great Again is a slogan that conveys a concept, and that voting is the right thing to do.
God Bless friend. Thanks for this one. You inspire your fellow species amigo. I appreciate you man. Keep going. You are not making a fool of yourself. Keep on keeping on man. Im not here ro argue, nor debate, simply implement and duplicate. #AlaskanGnomeLore #AwakeningWonders #3of7project #HowellingRoots -JRoot
The Old Testament is pointing to Jesus. American Churches don't explain much - They just tell you to come in and get saved. The Church in the Book of Acts was not a "place" that people brought unbelievers into. The "Church" is the entire body of believers, and they are to go out and preach to the lost, when they are saved, the become the Church. The building, where the Church meets, is the place for worship and also to teach BELIEVER'S deeper truths, like what you are looking for. The reason that you don't know all of this is because in American churches, they are just going to keep teaching at a first grade level, the same stuff each time in hopes of reaching the lost that shouldn't be sitting there already. Christians, go invite people into a building so that they can get saved and then hear the same thing week after week and never grow.
I’d argue that the purpose of the Old Testament isn’t to point to Jesus. It’s to lay out the foundation of how to live. Which Jesus did. So let’s live like he did and obey ALL the laws. You’re absolutely correct, American churches are watered down, infant level theology
@@Alaskan_Gnome_Lore So, in your opinion, was Paul a false teacher? I have heard this from people that believe the new testament ends before Paul. Paul says that you are not under the law, and aren't allowed to be under the law if you are under grace, but they believe that he was the antichrist. Are you part of this sect of believer's? So you agree with only the 4 gospels and disregard all o the teachings of Paul, for how to live as a follower of Christ, we just live as if we are still in the mosaic covenants (no mixing of fabrics, not rounding the edges of our beards, etc). If this is your belief, that we discard the new testament, do you also disregard the book of revelation? Like, is there no coming antichrist, no 3rd temple to be built? I am always fascinated by hearing what some people that still live under the law do, in today's world. I saw what they do in Israel on the sabbath to avoid even pushing buttons to dial phones and all of the gadgets and gizmos they have created to do it.
@@theRealizePodcastis it ok to murder? Because you’re not under the law? Paul is complex and can’t be understood when approached with the mindset that some sin is now permissable
@@Alaskan_Gnome_Lore When I counsel someone coming out of a religion that put's the yolk of the law onto Christians, you might think that I would take them to Galatian's because Paul was specifically dealing with this at the Church of Galatia - He called them "Foolish" for being "bewitched" into the Law by Judaizers. I have helped a lot of Seventh Day Adventist to realize the error. But, I actually point to Romans, when someone says "Is it ok to murder then?". Paul explains that NO it is not, but he also reminds you that you are not under the law. See here: Romans 6:15 "What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid." And also, we can just look directly to Jesus. In the LAW, you had to kill a lamb, as the substitution for the death that deserve. But Jesus, the worthy Lamb whose blood covers all of the sins of the world, tells us that He came for the people that were under the bondage of the law, to set them free. Matthew 11:28-30 "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light." Many people think that means, if you are having a hard time with ife, or are heart broken, or whatever that you go to Jesus. But that would be fake garbage, because that is not what Jesus is for. Thats a Joel Olsteen message. What He is saying is that He came for those that were under the bondage of the Law, the old covenant that was already broken and now just being abused by the Pharisee's. He came to fulfill the old covenant, and make a new one. Romans 8:13 "In that He says, “ A new covenant,” He has made the first obsolete. Now what is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to vanish away." I say all of this out of love, but I do promise you that I study a lot, and this is the historic teaching of Christianity. People seeking Jesus didn't have this notion to try and go under the Law and practice a sabbath until the the 1840's. The Ellen G White (who claimed to be a prophet, but made several false prophecies, so you shouldn't listen to her anyways) was a young girl who fell down, bonked her head and got a concussion. She then says that she had a vision. This was the spark of the SDA movement, that rose up at the same time as a bunch of other "restoration" movements (Mormons, Jehovah's Witnesses, etc) and their claim to fame was that Christians had been doing wrong for centuries and that God had told her the right way to do it was to mix Judaism into Christianity. But, anytime their teachings conflict with scripture, they do the same thing that all of the other religion's do, they claim Divine authority and ongoing revelation that supersedes the writers of the Bible. We call this serious error, because then they can just change whatever they want. The Catholic Church can do that with the Pope, and the Mormons can do that with their prophets also. I have done an exhaustive study on many false religions and cults and the SDA's have changed dramatically since they started (they used to say that Jesus and the Archangel Michael were the same person, meaning that Jesus was a created being, which is heresy). THey have changed over time because as time goes on, we have access to older teachings and translations and we can easily see that these doctrines do not line up with scripture, or what the apostles taught their own disciples. If you are just going along with this living under the law as a Christian thing because you have a friend who is in one of the sabbath keeping groups, and you thought it sounded legit - I urge you to do a deep dive on this. You will easily come to the same conclusion as the rest of us Christians do when we look and study on our own. Sabbath day is not a command for Christians. You can do it to edify yourself, but you cannot depend on it for salvation. I will drop you my email if you want to further talk about his outside of here, all I care about is that the body sticks together and also reasons out what is supposed to be and what is not supposed to be ♥
@@theRealizePodcastI appreciate your sincerity in this and willingness to go so in depth. But the law is not a burden, it’s a gift “oh how I love your laws”. They are not void and they’re not just for the Jewish people. If you can find a way to speak on a voice call I can discuss this further but writing all this out means I could be misconstrued or have words twisted
I wanted to take a moment to respond to your thoughts on keeping the Sabbath as a Christian. I understand that this can be a point of confusion, so I hope this explanation helps clarify the distinction between the Old and New Covenants. I wrote all of this, and then had ChatGPT break it into sections to make it easier to read. This is all of my studies for 10 years on this subject. First, it’s important to recognize that the Sabbath was a command given specifically to the children of Israel as a sign of the covenant between them and God. In Exodus 31:13, God says, “Speak also to the children of Israel, saying: ‘Surely My Sabbaths you shall keep, for it is a sign between Me and you throughout your generations, that you may know that I am the Lord who sanctifies you.’” This covenant was a binding agreement with Israel alone, and the Sabbath served as its symbol. **The Law and the Gospel** Have you ever studied the difference between the Law and the Gospel, or the Old Covenant and the New Covenant? As a born-again Christian-someone transformed by God's supernatural work within, not merely by attending church-this distinction is crucial. The Bible teaches much that may not be emphasized in some churches. The Apostle Paul, inspired by the Holy Spirit, wrote much of the New Testament. He explains that the Law, including the Ten Commandments, serves as a "schoolmaster" to lead us to Christ (Galatians 3:24-25). Once Christ has come, the Law's purpose is fulfilled, and it is replaced by a new covenant of grace (Hebrews 8:13). Paul illustrates this with the analogy of marriage: just as you cannot marry someone else while your spouse is alive, you cannot be under the covenant of death (the Law) and the covenant of grace (the Gospel) simultaneously (Romans 7:1-4). If you attempt to base your salvation on keeping the Law and fail in even one point, you are guilty of breaking all of it (James 2:10). **The Purpose of the Law** The 613 commandments, including the Ten Commandments, were given to the children of Israel as a binding covenant (Deuteronomy 4:13). The Sabbath was the sign of this covenant (Exodus 31:13). However, when Jesus came, He did not abolish the Law but fulfilled it (Matthew 5:17). He raised the standard from the letter of the Law to the spirit of the Law. For example, while the Law says, "Do not murder," Jesus taught that even harboring hatred is equivalent to murder (Matthew 5:21-22). Similarly, He extended the commandment against adultery to include even lustful thoughts (Matthew 5:27-28). **The New Covenant** Jesus' teachings focus on the spirit of the Law rather than the letter. This understanding becomes clear when you are born again and filled with the Holy Spirit. With the Holy Spirit indwelling believers, the written guide of the Law is no longer necessary, as the Spirit now leads (Romans 8:2-4). Interestingly, Jesus never instructed His followers to keep the Sabbath in His teachings, likely because it symbolized the old covenant. The new covenant's symbol is public baptism, representing our identification with Christ's death, burial, and resurrection (Romans 6:3-4). Early Christians prioritized baptism, even under threat of death, because it was the sign of the new covenant. Ignatius of Antioch, a friend of Peter and Paul, emphasized this shift when he said, “If then those who walked in ancient customs came to a new hope, no longer living for the Sabbath, but for the Lord’s Day, on which also our life sprang up through Him and His death.” **The Role of the Holy Spirit** In the Old Testament, the Holy Spirit did not indwell people permanently; He would "fall upon" them temporarily. However, Ezekiel 36:26-27 prophesied of a future time when this would change. God promised, "I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them." This prophecy pointed to the New Covenant, where believers would be born again, receiving a new heart, and the Holy Spirit would reside within them permanently (John 14:17). Baptism serves as the outward symbol of this inward transformation. Early Christians also practiced communion, renewing themselves in Christ when they gathered (1 Corinthians 11:23-26). **The Early Church and Constantine’s Influence** The New Testament does not prescribe a specific day for worship, although we know that the early church met on Sundays (Acts 20:7). Contrary to some beliefs, Constantine did not change the Sabbath from Saturday to Sunday. Instead, he noticed that Christians were already gathering on Sundays, the day they recognized as the Lord’s Day in honor of Jesus’ resurrection. In an effort to Christianize his nation, Constantine made Sunday a day of rest by closing workshops and businesses, facilitating worship without interference from work or societal obligations-an action that would have even included establishments like Chick-fil-A if they had existed back then. Constantine's influence extended beyond just setting aside Sunday. He also played a role in merging Christian practices with certain pagan traditions, leading to significant changes in Christian observances. For example, Constantine and later church leaders replaced various pagan holidays with Christian ones. The Winter Solstice celebration, a major pagan festival, was repurposed as Christmas to commemorate the birth of Jesus. This shift is why many Christmas traditions have roots in pagan customs. The practice of decorating trees, for instance, has origins in ancient pagan rituals. In Jeremiah 10:1-4, the prophet warns against customs that involve cutting down trees, bringing them into homes, and adorning them with silver and gold, which echoes practices seen in modern Christmas traditions. The use of Yule logs, mistletoe, and other symbols also ties back to pre-Christian festivities. These changes illustrate how Constantine’s influence led to the integration of pagan elements into Christian worship, altering not only the day of gathering but also how certain holidays were celebrated. **Christianity as Transformation** Judaism involved adhering to the Law and its practices, but Christianity is about being transformed by the Holy Spirit-being born again (John 3:3-7). Modern American Christianity often misses this depth, focusing on basic teachings rather than the "meat" of the Word (Hebrews 5:12-14). Many churches today are more like buildings where people are encouraged to "get saved," rather than communities of believers who are equipped to go out and make disciples, as Jesus commanded (Matthew 28:19-20). The true Church is the body of believers. We are called to preach, make disciples, and live out the new covenant. The building is merely a place for believers to gather, worship, and grow in their faith.
While thorough, your response ignores the relevant and important portions of the Bible. Research for yourself outside of what the church teaches. Here it is: Look into “the New Covenant” and what happens with the new covenant. It is not with the church. There will be no misunderstandings, no confusion, and everyone will have the same truth. Church has a monetary interest in misunderstanding because who would feed the fat preacher that shouts at you about self control?
Too much to unpack here in a comment, wish we could speak to one another Brother stop trying to theologize your way out of living EXACTLY as the messiah lived. Nothing more, nothing less, he was PERFECT. Bacon isn’t that hard to give up. You are a member of Israel now, grafted on the olive tree.
I remember being raised Christian and sitting in Sunday school. The "teacher" was having a conversation with the class and said.. "hypothetically if a man was swinging an axe, and the head of the axe flew off and hit his neighbor in the head, killing his neighbor... would the man holding the axe go to hell for it"? The class answered "no" and the teacher proceeded to say "yes, he would". I never went to church ever again.
I think there’s a large percentage of people who have trauma from the modern church. Don’t let the foolish hearts of men get between you and a relationship with the creator. He’s bigger, more loving and more complex than whatever man made system drove you away
There is a whole provision in Torah for accidentally killing someone. It’s a real thing. By ignoring the Torah, your teacher was ignorant. God made provisions for this that are just.
