You could do a whole Stunted Growth on Wakas Mom Ms Deb's Record Label. She had Gucci Niki Minaj OJ and I think Drake all signed to her at the same time.
@@megamafiarecords you mean since the beginning of the record industry! Legends like Muddy Waters, Howling Wolf all the way to Elvis and James Brown were jerked by their labels. Heck, even the 5 Heartbeats got jerked
OJ Tha Juiceman is a trapper who signed a bad contract with a shady deal. His only problem was he wasn’t a great rapper at all because he was a mixtape artist. He knew Gucci Mane before the music because they grew up in the same neighborhood. He didn’t know nothing about the music industry, but he got the best of him. He was a street dude who was born and raised in Atlanta. I hope that he is doing well and taking care of his family. There are a few people that still love his music.
Whenever I heard a group getting "signed in the spot" it was never good. So signing a deal without a lawyer or using the label's lawyer is a HUGE red flag too.
I'm beginning to like these channels!! GOT DAMN JUICEMANE IN THE BUILDING TEXACO SHAWTY BOMB IN THE BUSHS SHAWTY BOULDER CREST SHAWTY "SKRRR SKRRR"!!!!
Dude's music was catchy af, never understood why he didn't blow up until now. He was vulnerable and signed a trash deal with the devil. A better situation would have been mimicking Gucci's moves, kind of.
Oj is a legend I remember being n tha club back n tha day an he came out an performed I'm boomin I'm bunkin an the club went ham after that I copped a mixtape an said this boy finna blow next thing ya know him an Gucci had the street on lock it's crazy now I think of it bc waka Flocka's brother was there red an i found out later he committed $uicide
This entire episode is a cautionary tale way more than a Stunted Growth. To all my young bros out there, listen to what this man said in this episode to a tee. Never ever sign anything without a lawyer present. They will use lines like you can trust me or some BS like that but money makes people unworthy. Especially with Black folks. I believe OJ entirely. She knew that he would want out of the streets after he got shot. Thats why she approached him a second time. Don't believe her one bit. She was greedy like they are in the business. Once again, never sign anything without a lawyer present. Thats it
@@Henry.P You had to be _really_ dumb to ever pay over $20 for a CD. I grew up in that era and bought a ton of new releases from retail stores and even paying $18 was rare.
Wale got 8 Gold songs, 7 Platinum songs, a Diamond song(with Waka Flocka & Roscoe Dash - No Hands) and 3 Gold albums… Wale more accomplished than anybody on stunted growth cuz none of them got a Diamond song let alone multiple Platinum & Gold songs
Debra did robbed OJ and everyone in the south know this... I do remember listening to 6bringz while I was deployed in Korea it was so different from anything I heard before definitely a classic mixtape...
"Rap game good but the dope game gravy." Trap House was an album, not a mixtape. Deb Antey took advantage of Juice. Played him something bad. If Gucci never went to jail, he would've been better educated on the game. OJ should've signed elsewhere. He would have had a longer career in rap. He had some dope ass tapes. Deb always say she wished she would have stayed loyal to Juice. Now look at her, fucked up. Lost Gucci, Nikki and Waka can't sell to save his life lol.
Oj mad dope till this day deb fucked his situation up but she admitted no shade on deb but oj didn’t take advantage when he was hot I’m optimistic I think he can catch another one
