A Pokemon Region set in Egypt for Gen 10 would be cool to see! And plus lots of Pokemon Fans including myself talked about this giving Lucario a Anubis Regional Variant form including an evolution as well. Plus I would love to see a Egyptian Woman Professor to present the Region to us! What would the starters be as well?

I am from The Netherlands. so if a region based on the Netherlands really comes, it will be super cool, we can get a lot of great grass water and Ground types because the Netherlands is full of nature

I'd love to see a region inspired by Australia. The Donunda Region. I think there's great animal options there, especially for starters. In my head, it'd go down like this: - Boey (Joey + buoy; Water type kangaroo with floaties) -Kindlingo (Kindling + dingo; Fire type dingo that carries wood in its mouth for burning) -Eucuwala (Eucalyptus+ koala; Grass type koala with eucalyptus leaf ears)

That are not the only hints in ScarVio either. Quaxly is said to have migrated to Paldea from distant lands far ago. Quaxly is based on the Crested Duck, which can be found in the East Indies and the Crested Duck came to Europe on Dutch ships. The Surname Hassel finds its origins in the Netherlands. Artazon is clearly Dutch inspired. If we get Unova remakes/BW3, we also might see some Netherlands hints, since New York (What Unova is based on), was called New Amsterdam first. In 2016, a Pikachu Around the World plushie set released, which has Pikachu dressed in attire from Japan, but also USA (Unova) and UK (Galar). Now, Japan and Unova came before the set, so that they were included is not so surprising. However, the set also includes a Pikachu in traditional Dutch attire, with clogs and a tulip. It also has a Chinese inspired one. That is another indication a Netherlands and Chinese region are actually in the pipeline, since if they do not become regions, them being included on the set instead of for example a Spanish one, will feel super random. There is also real world reasons why, from a Japanese perspective, a Netherlands region would be received very well in Japan itself. The biggest themepark in Japan is called Huis the Bosch, which is inspired by the Netherlands. There are annual windmill and tulip festivals in Japan. Like, i always say Fanregions do actually more harm to good for some countries, since they are taking away possible inspirations from Gamefreak, as they might be seen as copying concepts if they are the same (Despite Gamefreak not being allowed to look at fan creations, they aren't blind either). I feel like this especially is problematic for at least Italy, Greece and Mexico.

we have had two countries in this generation (Spain and Portugal) thinking that the Netherlands is a small country, then Belgium or another country bordering the Netherlands could join as the pokemon region.

A region in Morocco is what I think is the best shot for the next gen. Especially with how you remind yourself that Paldea is based on the Iberian Peninsula and Morroco is literally down south of it.

A Pokémon region based on Egypt will be interesting wonder what's starters going to be, regional form, and new gimmicks. Starters type evolution will be possibilities: Grass/Rock-Gazelle Fire/Poison-King Cobra Water/Psychic- Ibis

Being from The Netherlands myself, I can confirm this map indeed looks like the South-West province of “Zeeland” (Sealand). It makes perfect sense wanting to connect Galar, Kalos and Paldea through another “puzzle piece” that’s The Netherlands. Also, we’re famous for building dikes, locks, bridges and what not. So plenty of water Pokémon for sure! But I’m crossing my fingers for a Tulip Pokémon 🌷 to be honest.

Me personally, considering one of my nicknames is Koala, I would absolutely love an Aussie region. Could very easily have some DLC taking place in New Zealand or even somewhere near Indonesia. I’d pick the koala pokemon every time.

i agree. Usually Game Freak works on multiple games. One team works on one game and the other team works on other game. So I won't be surprised if they are working on Gen ten right now. Not sure when they started working on gen ten. I think SV and PLA were made roughly around the same time as each other but I might be wrong about that. But i think it is very likely that they are working on the next gen right now.

Africa is MASSIVE Continental region. I could see them doing a Southern Africa map, basing the main region on South Africa. The DLC could involve travelling to a region similar to Madagascar and maybe another region similar to the Sub-Saharan Region of Africa, or Central Africa 🤩

I have zero evidence for this, but my thought is that we are going back to Japan for gen 10. Like i feel Kitakami is just a city of a larger region that we'd be going to. And with it being the tenth generation, i feel like they would make it a region that is more symbolic, like returning to the mainland where pokemon began. However, i do feel like there is some really good evidence for a Dutch or Egyptian region coming soon. I would like to see an Australian region though! I feel like there's just so much that can be done with that.

They know people are trying to guess so they drop many potential hints. But what’s cool is that the hints could be for gens coming in multiple years. I think they at least have a shortlist and play around with those

I actually just uploaded a video on what I think Gen 10’s Region will be, there are A LOT of hints in Gen 9 and even Gen 8!!

With the addition of Latin Spanish in the games, the batch of cool pokemon like Ludicolo,Maractus, Hawlucha, etc., the references in S/V like the painting in the house of the main character, jalapeños, aguacate, quesadillas, cactus, nopales, the building of a center pokemon in Mx city... it will be Mexico.

Well, we did get the weed kitty, which could hint to a Netherlands based region XD But it might be a horrible idea for another open world game, as we don't do mountains and not much height differences (about from a few regions). Not to mention that it would just be a small map... We'd just meme the heck out of it :') On a more serious note: the Netherlands and Japan do have a long history together, so it would not be too farfetched. And the Van Gogh inspired paintings are awesome (I am glad they stopped handing out the promo card, as it was a madhouse when they did). To be honest I don't really care what the next region will be, I just hope they'll put some effort into it. 'Spain' was quite... sad. Paldea did not really feel like Spain to me.

There's also hints for south america, with Squawkabilly having the Brazilian flag colors, Quaquaval is brazilian, so.. Idk. Could be Netherlands, it would make the forth European region, just like Kanto, Johto, Hoenn and Sinnoh are four japanese regions, I don't know if it's something they want to do. Everyone is mentioning a Lucario regional variant if it’s going to be an African region for gen 10, but what about Copperajah? The Pokémon could’ve been originally from that said African region & also maybe had a different typing because Copperajah isn’t from Galar initially.

I like that the first base of the theory opens on this painting of presumably Andalousia, which is in spain and features this exact architecture. Spanish won't even consider it to be anything else, it would be a major stretch.

Gen 10 in Egypt is cool but Australia would be more likely. Pokemon One and Pokemon Zero or Pokemon Crimson and Pokemon Turquoise because Crimson was trademarked along with Scarlet, Purple, Topaz, Tourmaline, Delta Emerald, Grey, Brown and Pink. Topaz is naturally Red for the most part so Turquoise a mix of Green and Blue matches Crimson which is Red. Red/Yellow and Green/Blue themed colors make the most sense but Scarlet's already in use lol. They could very well drop Pokemon Plus and Pokemon Minus in 2025-26ish.

Can anyone find out where Game Freak's been traveling? That's been a good indication in the past for the next Pokémon Region. I'm from NYC aka Unova i personally don't want remakes even of my home region. (What i hope for is an Australia Tasmanian New Zealand Region) & I really want them to implement all of Legends Arceus Features.

Greek/ Roman archetecture- The Roman Empire did control parts of Africa on the Mediterranean Sea- Egypt, Morocco, Libya, Tunesia, so buildings that look like they could be from Greece or Rome makes sense. But there are so many places that could be interesting as a region, it's hard to pick one I'd really like to see. Netherlands- could inderectly be the former colony of New Netherlands, aka New York. So hinting at Unova remakes/ Blueberry Academy. Didn't BW have a postgame where you could challenge the champions of other regions? Larry can pretend to be champion of Paldea for that in a remake.

I like the idea. I would love a video on it as I do not know enough about the Netherlands to know how a region might be based on it. I am familiar with Africa as well as the Carolinas and Georigia. I have been to Florida and have an idea of whst it is like, but have spent less time there overall. Idk why some ppl thonk stuff like China. I can see us gettung DLC or China inspired Pokemon, but a whoke region on China is not likely IMO. I bring it up as I have seen ppl online mention it bc of the content we got with clearly inspired Chinese Pokemon. It is a comunist coubtry and Japan does not have the b3st of relations with China. I doubt China or North Korea would ever get a region based on them. North Korea I bet is out period. China has made a huge cultural impact on the world so it will seep into Pokemon and get representation bit never has its own generation. Korea could get a gen eventually, but based on South Korea. India is also possible, eventually, but I feel ir will be a few gens because the India hint with that elephant Pokemon is too direct. They are definitely subtle with the hints right before the gen. We also will get hibts in Pokemon ZA. I just honestly feelthe Nerherlands is a good possibility based on all thar you pointed out. I have doubts about Italy as I do think Gen X will come out for the 30 year anniversary. Which means that it will go back to its roots and be Japanese based, even tho thst has been done a lot, or it will be a region a lot of fans have wanted or one that is just based on a location we have not seen at all. We have had Pokemon based on animals in both Africa as well as Australia. However, I do not recall a Pokedex entry referencing them being from another region. We did directly get that in Gen 8 with India. So we know canonically a region based on India does exist. Ivwould be open to the Netherlands and maybe they are getting inspiration and plan a region based on it. I just feel if we get a region that is on a location we have never had before that it would be Australia or Africa. And while I know Egypt is a more specific location, I feel another area of Africa would make more sense as Egypt for a DLC of an Africa based region makes more sense as they could have a smaller amint of heaviky Egyptian style Pokemon and have a desert and have this weather change to becine a Jungle. It is a real life phenomenon where the desert cycles between a desert and a jungle. A new Pokemon caught there could be responsible for this occurance within the Pokemon world or it coukd be thst it is desert only but npcs reference it becinibg a jubgke ever so often and they tell you the chang eis due soon then later on a mythical is released for an event ki d of like hwo we got the purple guy in Kitakami and it onky appears in the jungle which is only present for a short time aka the duration of the event. As much as I would love this or Australia, I do not feel it will be a country or area the fans have not been talking about and hyping up, at leadt not for Pokemons 30 year anniversary. I also feel as much as I want somethi g different, that they may feel nostalgic and want to bring it home. Home being either America or Japan. As America is a huge fan base and they cater more to Japan and America. America has had two regions, and Japan has had 4. So I am guessing a location in America or possibly in Australia or Africa (likly either a section of North Africa or one based on South Africa with the Egyption thibg being a DLC). If America idk where. NY made sense for Unova because American Comics has hige NY representstion and comics are our version of manga. So artist on Japan are inspired by American super heros, so it is important. Hawaii is also important to Japan and to Pokemon, that is why we got Alola. I do like the Carolinas idea. I also heard someone mention the Great Lakes which I love that idea because there is a lot of diversity there and it would be interstibg for a region to have a ton of water vs land. We kind of got it woth Alola but thst was not open world so it did not really feel any different than older games in terms of beibg linear and all have had land and water routes. Whatever the case I do not think we will get anythibg like this for Gen 10 as I do fulky expect either fan serves aka a region tons of ppl want or for them to go back to roots to Japan or for them to do another America location, which is where the largest fan base is outside of Japan. Unova in the DLC could have been a hint to a return to America and it might be why we did not get gen 5 remakes. We got ZA because we are about to get America in Gen 10.

With Pokemon exploring the open world, I think Netherland is too small for main Region. If it for DLC I can see that happening. Egypth tho I'm In! We don't have region based on Africa yet. The Egyth Border is also easy with square border on west and south haha.

I can only imagine the rage coming if they did do an african-based region, and the characters in the game are still mostly "white", as they tend to be. Japan tend to not always include black characters in their media. There is actually an Anime called Magi, which is inspired by 1001 Nights tales, pretty good actually. It's heavily middle eastern based, yet all the characters are still white, or at least the same light color they usualy are in Anime. I can only imagine how upset some people would be if that happened. But thinking about it, with all that woke stuff going in, especially in the US, where all white characters has to be black, this might be a good counterbalance :D

Not to mention that in one of the skyscrapers in castelia city (gen 5) there is an international party happening and one NPC speaks in German which is the neighbor to the Netherlands; iirc every other language spoken at this party has been represented thus far. Combine this with Japans historically friendly trade relationship with the Dutch (this is where Dutch delft came from); the Netherlands was pretty much the only country allowed to trade with Japan for a longggg time in the recent past. Also in Japan there is a theme park called Huis Ten Bosch which is basically just a humongous replica of Amsterdam. I'd say there are a lot more clues for Germany/Netherlands than there are for Africa- BUT!! then there is South Africa which is unfortunately colonized by the Dutch, but that might be too politically negative for TPC to touch idk.

Greece and a few other border countries for Gen 10 with Italy and some countries like Switzerland and Croatia between Greece and Italy for DLC.

netherlands isn't a large region plus I'm curious what mythologies or culture pokemon can pull from netherlands for this new region & animals even though excuse me for being ignorant I'm just curious. You can argue they can combine other european countries with the netherlands to make 1 region like paldea so I guess that works huh?

No. It's not because of Gibraltar. Most cities in the south of Spain have a huge influence from the muslim culture cause they invaded the Iberian Peninsula around the 800 of the Christian Era year. But Spain conquered back all the Peninsula fighting until the 1492 with the Moors giving up on Granada's siege. So yeah. 600 years of African influence and we still didn't get rid of that curse nowadays.

Japan had 4 regions being kanto, Johto, hoenn, and sinnoh, Europe had 3 regions being Kalos, galar, and paldea, and the US had 2 being New York and Hawaii. So IF there is a pattern then probably a different area altogether like Australia is Oceania, Brazil is South America, Egypt is Africa and India I believe is southeast Asia. I've heard many people are tired of western regions and want to go back to Asia of sorts. Also I feel like the next place should have a "wide" shape for open world feel with different environments (artistic liberties obviously can be taken, case in point Unova) and possibly have dlc possibilities but that doesn't limit area tbh

No more Japan or Europe for a good while please. Egypt + Sub-Saharan tropics would be great for gen 10! The Netherlands are great, but more of the same, windmills, a few tulip fields some canals, that's it. Hardly enough for an open world next gen console instalment.
