Hi I have watched many of your videos! I have a question though, how far do I need to release the mice after they have been caught to stop them from returning?

Susan Scott, in her book "Biology of Plagues," criticizes the theory that yersinia pestis caused the Black Death for these reasons: although the plague has appeared frequently in history, especially in Asia, it never spread nearly as quickly as the Black Death. Plague is enzootic (endemic in an animal population) in rodent populations which are its preferred host. Y. pestis is not lethal for the gerbils and prairie dogs who are its current host population. A plague outbreak affecting humans occurs when there is a die-off of the host population. If rats were the host of y. pestis in the 14th century, there would have been a rat die-off preceding the outbreak of the Black Death. I think countries like Norway and Iceland didn't even have rats at the time. Virus infections, unlike y. pestis spread very quickly, e.g. the Spanish Flu of 1919. Archaeology shows that y. pestis was present during the Black Death, but it may have only a complicating factor, not the cause.

I believe it was yp but we are looking at the info wrong. We are looking through our modern day lenses rather than what it truly was like back then. For instance you don’t need just rat fleas you can have human lice, human fleas, and we’ll just humans.

The religious leaders at the time banned cats from Europe. When everyone stopped caring about the outlaw of cats and were fighting to live, the few cats that remained in streets an in people's houses, mated, multiplied, and took out the cause.

I did not heard of the black death în school but I know well I think it was a couple thousand years ago and there was a ship and when they got out from shor all the men had black spots all over them! And did you know that mosquitoes carry the most deadlyist vurises în history I Larn that today în school ! And the world is going to end în 2053! My friend will be 63?! Heck we taught cats is the cause of the black plague because we kill a bunch of cat but it not the cats it under our nose all the long it was the rats!!
