The first comment about an original shinkenger adaptation being denied by Toei was misinterpreted, they only influenced one of the chief producers that it would be wrong to change shinkenger. They didn’t directly force saban to not be original with samurai, my apologies for not specifying. Same thing with the goseiger footage, they didn’t force them to buy it but helped turn saban name.
Nickelodeon had a teenage demographic which is why drake and josh was so loved, but Nickelodeon for whatever reason seems to think power rangers is only for kids, yet they have shows for teens
@@Xander_Roche They also did the same thing to Winx Club. If you look at the CGI Winx movie trilogy, Seasons 5-8, and the World of Winx spin-off, you may get the point. I also don’t seem to get how they were able to do Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles so good when they ruined both Winx and Power Rangers.
The issiue is: Saban's micromanaging and mandates; Disney's era is so good because they didn't care They let showrunners do their own thing; as long as they didn't go over budget
That’s probably why even Beast Morphers was only just a little better than all of Neo-Saban. Even with Saban transitioning out and Hasbro stepping in, Toei, Bandai America, and Nickelodeon were probably still interfering. If the rumors of Hasbro going its own way with Power Rangers is true, then it would be a wise decision.
The question is how much can hashbro afford? Do they have sufficient funds to film FORTY episodes worth of fight scenes, explosions, and not to mention the annual crossovers?
Shinkenger is a good Sentai season, tbf. But if Samurai was going to be an "American" version of Shinkenger, why not use Japanese-American actors for the characters?
Honestly it's been the original sentai stories being brain dead, the terrible writing and acting on our side, and the focus on selling toys over telling a coherent story that has pretty much killed Power Rangers.
One of the mistakes i did when i was starting was using official music, karaoke or instrumental. You gotta stop using these bgm, they will give you problems in the future. Anyway, keep up the great content. :)
@@Xander_Roche yes, they were copyrighted several yrs ago. They will delete it right away with no appeal and a copyright strike even if the footages are all yours. I think the restriction is more relaxed now, they won't delete your videos, it's just that the video will get demonetized.
The biggest flaw i have seen with regards to neo saban is that it looks like the writers are trying their best but theres just way too many restrictions put on them.
Well, since Hasbro will soon fully own the Power Ranger Franchise, I expect that They’ll probably stop airing on nickelodeon. But what I am wondering is what channel will they air power rangers again?
@@Xander_Roche that doesn't mean the Nickelodeon Seasons weren't that bad though I watched a little bit of Beast morphers it was actually a pretty decent season but I think that Disney should get the Power Rangers license back for the shows what's Saban also has to work together with Disney and to be quite honest as a wrestling fan I do have a all wwe power ranger dream team
Well since hasbro is making movies and teen/young adult seasons of Power Rangers, they can now catch up with sentai adaptations. Hopefully we will get back to adapting last year's sentai season.
I feel like the biggest issue with why Power Rangers is in the position that's in now is because of the way Saban has been marketing the franchise for the last several years he still believed in his own mind he could use the same formula that made Mighty Morphin Power Rangers successful back in the 90s and not realizing he couldn't do what he did with the franchise back in 93 with mmpr the things that made mmpr successful is what worked for That season and what made it successful Saban tried to recapture that same success buy just like I said using the same formula that worked with Mighty Morphin Power Rangers by marketing at the same way that that season was marketed and putting it in a early morning time slot that most Saturday morning shows aired at that time during the 90s instead of giving fans more compelling storytelling like what we got we got with in space, lost galaxy, lightspeed rescue, time force, wild force and even the Disney era seasons it seems like the moment Saban brought back the rights of the franchise from Disney the franchise has been in complete limbo and it really started with the Neo Saban era the lack of good storytelling character progression and bad writing for each of those seasons is why it gets criticized a lot and also another thing that I feel that has helped the franchise back for a while time now is too much Reliance on the Nostalgia of mmpr.
I mean until this comment I have literally never heard anyone say that they like the neo saban era so it is a bit off for someone to say it, but hey man if you really like it, don’t let anyone stop ya!
The only series that is ruined is MMPR season 2. Think about it. Jason, Zack and Trini were replaced with Rocky, Adam and Aisha. And also Kim with Katherine.
Great video man my first power rangers season was samurai but I stopped getting into it after super megaforce I was excited for Dino charge but never watched it for some reason but it was at the end of last year I found out about Super Sentai and the first one I watched was Shinkenger and LOVED IT Then I rewatched samurai and I thot it was cringy thanks to nick power rangers could of bean better but no all that do advertise spongebob and loud house ( I’m a loud house fan but come on nick GET MORE CREATIVE )
I hope they replace the shows with a comic series here's my ideas. Samurai: Have a geography aspect and having mythology. Megaforce part 1: It's just suppose to have a card game feel like blade. Dino charge: part 1 still canon but part 2 will change. Megaforce part 2: I will be a sequel to dino charge with heckle being a pirate and having a purified dark enerjem.
Saban seasons (except for dino charge) didn't feel like actuall ranger seasons, it looks like what college humor skit satirizing mighty morphin power rangers cheesiness. They tried to recreate the go go power rangers feeling, but king it was gone
Yes and my 3 reason are Power Rangers being on Nickelodeon, skip a few Super Sentai season, and finally stretching out one season of Power Rangers into a two year period
I agree that the blame is split but if I had to pick just one, I would say it was Nickelodeon. Because as you said, they wanted to “pre-school” the show. And that’s exactly what those seasons were. But you could tell that the writers did actually try kinda.
Neo Saban era's Power Ranger was so bad that it made Neo Heisei era Kamen Rider and New generation era Ultraman look like an Oscar winning show Sure Both Neo Heisei Kamen Rider and New Generation Ultraman had flaws and not as good as previous season, but at least they had plot and majority of them are actually pretty good

I am 23 and I still love pr samurai but I stoped watching pr after mega force. Suddenly what happen to me I don't know but i am totally into power rangers again 🙃
Similar thing happened to me, I fell out of rangers around megaforce time when I moved due to my interest shifting towards other things. When I was in 6th grade it had been a couple of years and I associated rangers with cringe, but still remembered a lot from being so obsessed as a young lad, and one day I searched for some of the things I remembered, fell back into the series, and here I am today.....

At Least One Of The Worst Nick Shows In The 2010's Where Shimmer & Shine, Big Goat Bannana Cricket, Breadwinners & Dora & Friends: Into The Freaking City.
If for one side, the shows in this time are some of the weakes. In the other, everything that isn't the tv series are very good, the comics, movie, Hyper force, crossovers. Nice video
Also, something I noticed in Ninja Steel was the AWFUL lighting. The lighting was somehow even dimmer than Twilight. But at least with Twilight (As terrible as those movies, and to a greater extent, their source material are.) there was a stylistic reason for it. It was meant to show the dreariness of Forkes, Washington. Ninja Steel is meant to be a light-hearted action show, and yet the lighting is as dim as a stormy day.
Whelp. I think that Super Megaforce did the worst for the Gokaiger suits as they turned it into just a power-up form. They just implemented those suits very badly and we'd rather stick with its Sentai counterpart than spend all month long watching that pathetic garbage.
I guess it’s not objective that neo saban is bad, this was more of a “why neo saban was the way it was”, so if you like Dino charge and Samurai, that’s perfectly fine!
