Those heavy grills, "Gave me a whoopin' " you crack me up. And I do agree with Paul that you need to get a back brace and something for your wrist as well
Taco i think you mentioned nailing boards on your deck.. Im not a carpenter but i'm married to one. Use screws not nails. Nails will back out overtime. Thanks for letting us ride along with you..
I went with nails because removing the deck was fairly easy with nails in it, there were a couple boards with screws and boards were splintering and a pain to take out. I do agree with the nails popping up :(
Screws are great but guess what was used long, long before screws ...correct nails if you use galvanized deck nails ( spiral ) they last and are a real pain to get out even if you want to of course you young chaps probably have not used nails building a deck there are decks I built years ago that are still holding strong ...my deck is 30 years or so and no problems. Of course I probably will hear I don’t know what I am talking about but I have 55 years in home building and home remodeling
Wow lots of grills today! The white jewelry box my mom had one probably 1950 or 60s. Brought back memories to see that. Some nice old finds a good day!
The magazine rack you've had before just had a handle. This one was a side table. I would want it to paint in a shabby chiq style. Great for small spaces! The iron hanger holds a kerosene lamp.
I burst out laughing when I saw the two grills standing side by side, anticipating your reaction. You did a good job getting them both in the van. No grill left behind!
Hello Taco, you are a boss, when I heard u mention Paper Moose I was happy. She seems like a really nice person.Paper Moose would love the jewelry boxes. The beige one sells for a nice piece of money.I got one right before the Rona hit and Goodwill was selling for 10.00.Online big money.Great picking day for you.I hope I get to do what u do before I leave this world,I am 68 yrs.old and I know it’s never to late.I am the only one that’s stopping me.Please be careful when ur out and about. The people will be waiting for you with all of ur bloody good finds.💯👍🏽
You go for it Rene 😃! 68 that's still young , my Husband's 61 and he still thinks he's 18 😄😂😂🤣 ! Shame we aren't aloud to do this in England , sending lots of love , Stay Safe x
Gave 12 years of my life to the auto parts sales industry, so the clutch disc, pressure plate, and disassembled starter gave me flashbacks! Thanks for the memories, Taco Stacks!
You know I watch these videos as much to see the homes, landscape, and green lawns. Love the space between homes. We retired to high desert form coastal no winter to freeze in winter and 100 degrees for 3 months in summer!
What a neat word.....Tacoisms. I am going to start a journal for posterity and the children TACO will have someday. First question will be DADDY...why did they call you Taco?💕😇🙏🐧🐕
Why didn’t you go up the driveway and ask about trailer 😱❓🤦🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️also, you seem more upbeat... thanks for your humor😁... good that you’re talking more 👏🏻👏🏻👍🏻👍🏻🙋🏼♀️
@@skaarup33 a bit of disinfectant spray, put out in sun then an old toothbrush or a scrub brush, right. I wonder if he figured out the sides also fold out .
OMG Taco Stacks marvelous golden treasures trash picking day. Love the vintage jewelry box. We in the jewelry thrifter community enjoy finding them too. Hugs and Kisses for Queen Salsa. GREAT VIDEO AND GREAT CONTENT. THUMBS-UP ALWAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My friend has a side business of repurposing stuff. He'd take every piece of furniture and hardware. Everything. We just don't find anything old on the west coast often enough.
That's still a pretty nice wooden jewelry box. I love that butterfly hose holder thing, it's so different than those bulky plastic ones that are so common today.
Taco, you can hang an oil lamp not a candle in the ornate cast iron wrought iron thing you found. Enjoy your trash picking and hard effort to clean up the earth!! All of your videos are fantastic! Stay safe and healthy! Peace!
Ponderosa Steakhouse was a chain with steak and a fabulous salad bar. That cute wee side table just needs a good cleaning and some tung oil to make it happier if you sand it down. Beautiful piece. I am gonna watch Renee's Paper and Moose video next. She is such a sweetheart. Glad y'all are friends.
I been watching your videos for a week and decided to subscribe, I'm 63,years old and I think it would be so much fun to go treasure hunting with you ,if I only lived closer,
It’s not always someone throwing it in the trash so much as just not wanting to have it around the house anymore and leaving it on the curb for someone to take for free. That’s relatively common in our area.
That thing at 8:39 in the top of the box is antique Victorian lamp Holder usually there is a bracket that holds them my mom has two of them hanging up in her house
BINGO!!!!! 3 grills 1 trash trip!!!🤯😂🤣😂🤣😂🇩🇰 The white jewellery box is vintage 50's-60's. The mold can be cleaned and removed as well as sanitized. I would buy it.😉🇩🇰
Thank you for all the fun times watching your adventures of work. Work it is gotta say unsolicited opinion, A dolly a very small but not too small dolly. Will save your back immensely. It’s not good for everything but it’s good for a lot of things. It’s one of those essential tools you own. My life is never without one. You never have to worry about having people watch you. Those of us that love peace and calm find that you. Have an awesome rest of your day.👍👍❤️
Thanks, got my tshirts. There good quality. Also like the magnet. Out it on my safe.. got the package in less than a week. Very fast. Thanks again. My favorite pick was the two jewelry boxes. The white one can be cleaned up.
Hey Taco! I think that table pictured here is a large book table, like a dictionary or someone's favorite large tome to reference! You really lucked out with the metals, decorative and for scrap. Good job today!
Looks like it was a grill day, but with lots of other good items; especially the candle holder. This never gets old. Its enjoying and a learning experience see your videos. Thanks a lot.
Hi Taco Stacks. Well today's bingo was grills for sure lol. You got some great things today . I like the little table it's cute it's going to look great on your deck . PEACE✌✌✌✌✌💞💞💞💞💞🐕🐕🐕🐕🐕💞💞💞💞💞💯💯💯💯💯💯
I'm glad you're not scrapping the pretty garden table. You must have heard us when we were upset last week when you scrapped the garden bench. Good scrap'in day! 😊🙃😊
@@hooper4581 IDK about the color, but you are correct in the fact that older Weber Genesis gas grills are sought after for the quality, and parts availability. I suppose the red ones may give people the clue that they are vintage since that color was fairly popular. In reality most Genesis grills produced from 1985 to the early 2000's all are pretty good since the design was basically the same all those years. The ones with the open frame as featured in the video are the great ones. The ones with the closed frame with doors are junk because they are not as strong, and have rust issues.
Hi Taco, sorry we didn't get to watch yesterday, our wifi went down till late last night, but we watched earlier today and totally awesome finding 3 grills, and very interesting decorative metal fixtures, great vlog as always, stay safe and all the best from the UK near Liverpool
I just don't understand why you don't search more through the piles of stuff. You need to learn from Paper and Moose, she will search through bags! Great video as usual.
Sheri Easton Probably because Taco would lose money to to either a other picker or lose it to the landfill if it's the trash men takes the trash away before he gets to it.
Hi taco from kefalonia Greece 🇬🇷🇬🇷 enjoyed your picking today wow twin BBQs and a box of handles and knobs lucky you keep up the good trashing.dtay safe.
That white wire shelves can be used for storing potatoes, onions and garlic but there's so many things to use it for. Love this video. You never seem to disappoint me with your vids. Thank you!
Great day of picking Taco, that white jewelry box you found is old probably around 1940 or maybe in 1930th or 1950th. I have one almost like that one, but the one you found is nicer. Look that up on E bay, or were you look your prices up at. You maybe have found something worth some money. Thank you for your videos, you work so hard , have a great day, and hugs for Salsa.
I have been binge watching your site love what you are doing tried doing something like that 45 years ago with aluminium cans and glass bottles but hauling expenses for the glass had me break even and aluminium was an up and down market. This was in the early 70's, My Dad and Step mom did flea markets in the late 70's when macrama was big and the sold cord and baby clothes. Keep living the dream. And again you look like the Miami Dolphins QB Josh rosen.
The name of the Steakhouse was Ponderosa. I miss that restaurant. That white rack that you found is a shoe rack. My mom used to have one just like it. I'm sure it could be used for other things also.
Taco, on thowe wooden chairs, wood the stake house be Pondarosa, the letter was a P on the backs of the chairs, correct? There use to be Ponderosa, steak house, here in Fl., I don't think there still around my area? Now that sm. black, metal stand, that you said, "you were actualy looking for one of those", would look very nice on your new deck! No, it's not a ballzie, candle holder, it was used to put a kerosene, lamp into the base of it & hung, for lighting.
Not sure if you normally check, but always pull all the drawers out of everything, you can find some cool stuff or even$$$ sometimes. Washer and dryers and living room furniture as well as dresser's can bring more money and things left inside than the item itself is worth. I've also found$$ inside of books, magazines and coats and purses.
The piece with silver shaft and square base is the lift mechanism from an office chair. The square piece screws to bottom of chair. The silverpiece fits into hole in wheeled base.
On my upcycle groups many show fabulous things left on the curb. I need to do a road trip to their areas. Here not allowed anyway. I think all cities should adopt this program where you live. A pre trash day where people can stack metals and things nicely sorted. They dont even sort at dump here now we moved rural in California which shocks me. In major cities we had 3 trash bins one for trash, yard and recycle. I thought a calif mandate. Wonder if they know small areas dont even do that? They could make money have a dump day and sort out the furniture and wood to reclaim and sell for low cost or go in for a fee first come or something!
Incognito.... 😂🤣😂 Taco Spy.....😉🇩🇰 I have always thought that the word incognito is a funny word, don't ask why.... maybe it's all the pictures you get in your mind....
