Welcome my channel! If this is your first time seeing my face or hearing my voice, my name is Lee and I am a self aware narcissist. I have narcissistic personality disorder ( NPD ) and I've been in therapy for my personality disorder since 2017 and it has definitely changed my life because without it, I would have lost everything.
The point of these videos is to help bring awareness from the other side of the narcissistic *buse spectrum. All my videos give perspective on why many narcissists do what they do and the possible different reasons behind them. The victims and survivors get validation and the Narcissists (those that are willing) get to see that you can get help and that you are not alone.

That's amazing. How can someone be so sick and disturbed to keep you around but never love you?

I'm a diagnosed Borderline & we have this in common with Narcissists. The difference is BPD starts to read into everything & starts splitting. When I don't feel any love for the person anymore I start getting repulsed by them if they hang around, still in love with me. I've attracted tons of stalkers because I would accidentally love bomb them but lose interest...As someone with BPD, I lack tolerance for men who "hang around" after I clearly am not interested anymore. I'm always glad when I see they've found someone else.

I blocked him and he died the following day of overdose October 6, 2022. I have been trying to rationalize this and I've researched love addiction. He had put me on a pedestal and almost 7 years, he never cheated on me. He had many many similarities as a narcissist but I keep seeing they cheat. He never would or did. He was too consumed with what I was doing. He would show up to my house when I broke up to the point of calling police. The relationship left me with trauma and his unexpected death really threw me over the edge. So many questions unanswered. Thank you for sharing. You're the only one who's mentioned a narcissist involved with being obsessed. Needed to see this one.

I’m so sorry to hear that. How tragic for both of you. I hope you’re in therapy. You might want to read Sandra L Brown, MAs book “How to Spot a Dangerous Man“ where she talks about mental illness, and specifically about clingers and men who need mommies. They become obsessed with you. I just left one who exhibited both clinging and needing a mommy figure, and I diagnosed him with Asperger‘s, OCPD and some sociopathy traits. He had such sweet side to him. I understand, through his ex girlfriend that I talked to after, that he had a lot of trauma in his childhood - late teens. When I broke up with him, he finally looked up Asperger‘s and admitted that explain his whole life. So I think maybe he was bullied, and/or physically, emotionally, psychologically, abused by family and friends. Put all that together and he was a hot mess. I just couldn’t do another relationship with someone who had personality disorders and mental illness.

Cheated on me... But now I'm watching your video on my TV which I cannot comment and so I went to my phone and I am going to comment on your video... Can a narcissist love you? Are you willing to accept the type... And my answer is no... I will no longer tolerate his ways because he is lazy and never wanted to put any work into this relationship and love takes work... I never really knew what I was involved with until about two years ago and the only reason I let him stay involved in my life is because we share kids... But now they're grown and gone and so am I and I found peace and happiness while he found himself alone and drunk and left with no one cuz everybody got sick and tired of his shit... @Rireanime Год назад
WHEN A NARCISSIST SEES YOU AS BEING TOO STRONG 💪 , THIS IS WHAT THEY'LL DO What happens when a narcissist sees you as being too strong? It depends on what kind of destructive narcissism you are dealing with. For example, a covert narcissist will initially be attracted to your strength. Inevitably and quite predictably, however, the covert narcissist will be triggered, and therefore feel threatened by it. Suddenly, and seemingly out of nowhere, you’ll become the villain, and they, of course, the perpetual Victim. Similarly, a more grandiose narcissist (overt narcissist) will initially find your strength and personal power attractive. Irresistible even. That is, until they aren’t getting their way. Until, it becomes clear that you aren’t so easily swayed, manipulated, dominated, duped, deceived, or controlled. Once this becomes clear, your strength and personal power will become a problem. A big problem… for the narcissist! This is true whether you are dealing with your narcissistic mother, narcissistic father, or both narcissistic parents simultaneously. t’s also to be expected when dealing with a narcissistic sibling, or anyone else with a narcissistic personality disorder. If and when a narcissist sees you cry, they’ll be under the illusion that they have more power and control over you than they actually do in reality. What they may not realize is, this is likely to be the beginning of the end of the narcissist relationship. The bottom line is, when a narcissist sees that you’ve moved on, look out! There will be a very specific and predictable kind of backlash. In today’s article, I outline exactly what to expect when the narcissist sees you as being too strong, and more importantly, what to do about it. I think they imagine someone who is not. And therefore they are so persistent. They don´t even care to get to know you... They know very fast that you have emotional empathy and you won´t let them down. So they are very clever and play a great act with you. But obsession never ends well. And there will come a day they hate you (because with time they will see your weeknesses and that you are not perfect how the thought - you stand up for yourself ... )...

Your statement about emotional discarding and physical discarding…you hit right on point. I was married to a narcissist for 31 years , together a total of 35 years. His favorite way to punish me…for breathing was the ‘ emotional discarding . I tried many times to get away and he would always hurt himself , by that I mean he would intentionally put himself in harms way ,get hurt so I would have to care for him. He once pulled in front of a shell gas truck ,he was hurt. He intentionally slid in a grease spot outside a Chinese restaurant ( I was not with him) he slipped and broke his ankle and several bones in his foot. He became dangerous.

I couldn’t be at work, in the gym, do homework, eat, sleep, or even shower without him on FaceTime. He’d say “I knowww but I just love you so much and can’t and won’t ever get enough of you” when I’d tell him I have to go and hang up but he wouldn’t let me. He’d delay hanging up as much as humanly possible and when I told him it bothered me (cuz to me at 21, which he was the same age as me, it sounded like I was talking to a 13 year old) and he would be majorly bothered by that and make it sound like I don’t care about him. I felt safer with the reverse discard but it left a massive psychological wound that I had not noticed as strongly from overt narcs I've dated. It's clearer to leave someone who's outwardly violent or dismissive. There is more benefit of the doubt potential when someone is pulling back but not physically discarding, like that could be a normal ebb and flow, so you give a bit more in the uncertainty as you would want to do for a partner who's struggling. Now I have a very good read on what I can give vs. Resentment if i wasn't to receive anything in return/things didn't change. It's so effing liberating. Funny thing is their friend/roommate hmu after i left, and I'm so glad I played dumb/didn't try to hurt the narc with that. Could have been nooooooooooooot good.

I do realize the NEED for protection is real. Having seen the raging…I am 99.99% sure he snapped my cat’s neck and then 3 months later when he was breaking up with me for the LAST time…he told me I likely ran over the cat..and I believe, HE would go f-ing nuts if I started dating someone else……while he is currently dating -- he was seeing others the whole time he was with me……I am on red alert all the time. I have security cameras and electronic gates…if I were to start to date someone else, I have planned that - I would have to move and disappear. Ty for your insight about narcissism.

I have a question. U may have answered it in the past. Or similar questions to it but how did you get into treatment? What made you want to get help? Were you told to go to therapy or was it voluntary? I hear many narcissists refuse counseling or treatment because they decide there's nothing wrong with them. Do narcissists have to feal out help for themselves or can someone get them into therapy? Does therapy really work for this kind of mind set? Like if someone goes through enough sessions will they start to think differently or do they have to be willing to take in the advice?

During this weird back-and-forth saying we had going for one minute we were together in the next we weren't I thought he was cheating and I. Grabbed his phone and he chased me down. I ran into the bathroom and locked the door and he pretty much broke down the door. I didn't get to check what was on the phone because I couldn't hold him off and check his phone at the same time. I did do martial arts and that's what kind of saved me. I was able at that time to defend myself. He viewed me as his property and he was my owner and therefore could do whatever he wanted and who was I to question him. It's true you gotta leave when they're gone. He started yet another new job and I waited a couple of hours after he left just to make sure he was going to stay at workbefore I packed up mine and my kids things in a wagon and walked down the road to the sanctuary house. They helped me make a plan to escape the day before. The day before I left he got enraged over something my son did and tried to take off his belt and come out and I wouldn't let him. He tried to fight me for Her without care or regard of hurting her. I let her go and finally made that call to the sanctuary house. We had to make a whole plan of how I need to act and what I needed to do so that I would be able to leave with both of the Kids safely. 2016 And I still have so much anxiety about him.

Why do narcissist have a pattern? I have 2 men that does this to me and have done this for many yrs. 1 guy has been in my life 8 and half yrs.. he tells me that no matter what I'm his. What exactly does that mean? Like no matter if it takes him 1 yr 10 yrs to come back he thinks that no mater what I'm his. And then after we have a romantic night together and then he doesn't speak to me for days or disappears for yrs. Everytime he cones back he does the same thing. He'll tlk to me until I see him. If we tlk for 2 wks and we see each other and then it might be another month before I see him again. I keep falling for it 🤬 I've said mean things to him to make him leave me alone. And when I ask questions and want him to tlk to me he acts like I'm the problem and he gets upset.. Thanks for this bc I just 30 min ago told him I was gona stop him one way or another and if I had to get a restraining order on him. He turned around and said he was going to file the paper on me. He keeps coming back and I tell him to leave me alone but he keeps coming back over and over. How do I get rid of him for ever?? My mental state can't handle his games anymore.. Seems like since I was married to my last husband every man has been like him. Why can't I find a decent man? I don't go to bars so that's not my problem. What do I do? ❤

Two year relationship. Mine forced me to discard him. When the discard phase began (didn't know what it was at the time) I tried to be very calm, didn't react, was as direct as I could be stating my needs and issues. I loved him and wanted it to work. Empty promises of change, the behavior only got worse. He then became immensely upset when I finally initiated the breakup (which shocked me). He immediately started dating the chick he was dangling in front of me which set off the forced discard. Telling me hurtful shit about how he's gonna be better for her and posting her everywhere. Then he wouldn't leave me alone. Always future faking, asking to be together, emotional phone calls/arguments (still dating this chick the whole time) always wanted to know if I was seeing anyone. Willing to pay me money to tell him info about my life. This went on for two years. Honestly it was extremely confusing for me. I'm still not sure if he ever even loved me. I just feel duped and tricked and confused. Anyway I think he was done with me by the discard phase, long before I finally dumped him. He'd moved 3 hours away to pursue a graduate degree. I wasn't convenient anymore (this going off the possibility he never actually loved me, just used me). However, I think his aim was to keep me attached so that I wouldn't move on. This I don't understand. His hoovering was extremely successful. I loved him and was heartbroken and kept clinging to hope that he was who I'd fallen in love with. No dice. Sucked every time. As I said I was very confused by my manipulated feelings and what was actually reality. Two months ago I finally just told him I want to get back together and let's try again (At this point I'm over it and I did not really want this.) He told me no and the official No Contact conversation was had. He's blocked on EVERYTHING and I haven't heard from him since. I feel detached from him, but still confused about what was real and what wasn't. It doesn't really matter regarding him, but for me, I'm trying to piece together how it happened and what I missed in an effort to heal myself for a new relationship and not fall into the same trap with another person again (therapy helps). Because I really did love him and I was left devastated for a long time. At this point it's been two months since official NC and I still haven't heard a peep. I think allowing him the "control" over the End helped a lot. I believe it's officially over (hopefully this isn't a naive conclusion). Like I said extremely confusing relationship. At least I don't hurt anymore and I finally feel free to fall in love with others again. It's nice and peaceful. - sry for the book, maybe you can relate.
