This is my sneaker of the year, best quality, best story telling, and I didn't have to pay crazy resell. Check check. And to me the fact that resellers can't make 500$ + per shoe is the cherry on top. Of course they are upset, they put profit over culture. Culture got the W this time.
I wasn’t feeling them at first seeing early images. But they grew on me once I seen lace swaps and heard the story to better understand the design. And I must say I copped and think they’re 🔥🔥🔥🔥. Dare to be different!
I didn’t like them initially but took a chance and went for them, and hit. Once in hand, I can really appreciate how different they are, the different design details, and the quality of the materials. As an artist, I’m a fan of them and how they’re a break from the monotony in shoe releases.
I have never doubled up on a sneaker but this might be the first. They are super funky. There might not ever be another one like it given the mixed responses
I'm pretty new to the Sneaker world, about a year in. I hadn't doubled up, but did with these. I actually tripled up. Hit on Union, then SNKRS, then my local Social Status. I sold one pair to an IG connect but the other two are staying. I think it's a beautiful shoe and I love the story. My wife and I met in '99 and so I feel some level of connection to it as well.
Super pleased with this collab. Botters wasted their money on data trying to cop multiples and got none because of the human pass. Everyone who actually wanted these was able to get them and they are going for barely over retail so resellers are losing money. Not to mention the insane leather quality in hand. 10/10 for me. Thank you Union 🙌
Love these and been wearing the hell out of mine. Logged at least 6-7 miles in mine yesterday and they still felt fine but I’m also a person who hasn’t really ever been bothered by the comfort of any Jordan 1s.
@@bdeweese2300 was hard to squeeze my foot in initially. Once you loosen up the laces and can comfortably get in and out, they are true to size. For just like my other Jordan 1s tbh
So I decided to just wait it out since the sneaker market is so weird now, plus Union charges an arm and a leg to ship and takes forever to actually ship. I'm happy I waited. Just snagged a pair for $200 dropped off the other day and wow! These are just so dope in person. I also like that I haven't seen anyone rock them yet. Like they're scared or because they're not "hyped" or have no resell value to them which I think is hilarious in itself. I dumped a lot of my sneaker collection. Went from a storage unit with 200+ shoes including over 100 pairs in my closet to less than 100 pairs total in my collection now. Quality over quantity is key and just like Foamer always said, patience saves pockets. Bout to wear these today at work in the Fairfax district in LA. Cheers 🥂
The Storm Blue Union 1 video is in my opinion one of your best and this one is the same. You guys definitely bring out the top class energy for the Union 1s. I really liked these since the first pics man. Happy to have also gotten them for retail. Thank the sneaker gods.
They made the best collab ever on a jordan with those very first J1s imo and now one of the worst. This could have been dope without those lace stiching😭

They are one of the best looking dunks no one knows about..they look just as good as the night of mischief & a touch of a galaxy looking color..they are very underrated
Buckets is definitely right, the first union Jordans 1’s had a slow start as well and now top tier. I feel this is more versatile. Definitely my Jordan one of the year. Probably my sneaker of the year. Too wearable, too easy…super 🔥. About to double up just to hold on ice… not happy about the J Balvin, looks like a orthopedic sneaker from the front with the cream color all over and little color in the back. It’s not until you see the sneaker from the back, you realize what they are. A little bit to much coconut milk for me. And I was actually excited about that release.
Just to these out the box this weeknd they feel better than any GR Jordan maybe it’s in my head but to be completely honest the more I wear them the more I like that it’s super different than any other Jordan with the woven material. At the beginning I was like “Humm, I don’t know” but after wearing them they have to be my favorite Jordan’s right now. Might have to get another pair to keep it on Ice. The quality in them is just too insane, never seen any Jordan with this type of quality.
While there is something to be said for being original or unique, I think they look horrible. I have thought that since the first time I saw leaked images of them last year, and I stand by that assessment. I don't care about the hype (or lack thereof), resale prices, or social media trends, I like what I like...and I don't like these at all. Glad to see that they're not too hard to acquire for those who actually like them.
These are clean and I love the story behind these with the love story and all but this was an easy pass for me for someone who's already have so many 1s I have yet to wear and been trying to cut down on my collection and being super picky with sneakers moving forward. This wasn't a must like if they would ever make OG 1 in an 85 shape kind of MUST.
First images of this shoe I was def disappointed because of what i expected from the Union collab seeing their last two Jordan 1s. Plus just wanting to have that Union Jordan 1 in my collection. But after seeing these and opening them for the first time in hand all those doubts changed into being really stoked because it impressed me as to how great these things are in person and you can see the craftsmanship and high quality materials they put into the shoe! Overall im happy i didnt sleep on these.
Love them again from Union something different. I also love the fact that resale is not too high at present hopefully more of these find their way into the hands of people who want to wear them not resale them. Worn mine at least twice and also have the original Union Jordan 1 and many more a favourite silhouette of mine.
As a wide foot boy who prob should be going half size up these are quite comfy. Wore these to my 9 hour shift at work and only got slight uncomfortable towards the end.
10 yrs from now.. They will be most wanted. I like them, they are different and unique while still being Jordan. The quality is very nice and premium. Why be boxed into a particular type of AJ1. Glad to have this in my collection. To each there own. ✌🏽
Just bought my pair for $140 AFTER FEES, i am very happy everyone hated these, as i liked them since i saw the first looks of them. I didnt have the money at the time and im glad I had to wait because i got them a decent chunk under retail and I couldnt be happier for them to come in the mail this Friday
It’s a collab thay actually looks like a collab. The previous didn’t really feel like collabs. If I want to buy regular Jordan 1s than I will. I don’t need light alterations.
I know these are different, but one you get them in hand they’ll change your mind. My pair unfortunately has small QC issues, but overall it’s such a dope shoe and the materials are way nicer than any Jordan 1 that’s come out in a while.I honestly think these are more comfortable than standard 1 highs. Love the content my guy!
Imagine these had Halloween colors, then the stitch would be perfectly appropriate and look awesome. Go full Frankenstein with it. I just don’t think the stitch works with these nice colors.
I got them and I love them. The yellow laces are a must! I’m glad resellers slept on these. Also, they are as comfortable as a regular Jordan 1. The woven pattern is on top of the usual lining on the inside of the shoe, so you can’t feel it.
In my opinion that shoe is hideous. Years later I will look back and still hate it. The same way I feel about the Cortez collab they did. Those even hit the outlets, not every collab is a must cop this is a prime example of that. Again this is just my opinion.
I really want to double up but I’m just doubling up on the next chapter Spider-Man 1s so hopefully January these are still around that retail price of $225-250
