I really wish I had friends like you guys, because I want to do a lot of dumb stuff to my ND2. However, I'm not as fearless, or as mechanically inclined as you. Lifetime subscriber now!
Thanks man, glad to have you along! A little courage is all it takes. It's not hard, just get in there and take stuff apart and hope you can put it back together 🤷
Not judging (only laughing), might want to look into investing in magnetic one finger glove for the dropies Car sounds great, curious to hear it at the track. Another great video (158-160)
They recommend in the directions to drive gently for at least 20 miles. To my understanding, it's to allow the ecu to re-learn and adjust to its new parameters, but that side of it isn't in my skill set so idk. If there's one thing the Navy taught me, it's to follow specific instructions from people who get paid more than you 🤷
I have a 2023 Miata with Edelbrock headers and the versitune crackle and pop tune. Although I love it, the result is engine light and service engine soon light on which makes my cruise control not work and a few other stuff like trip counter. Any way to fix this that you guys know about?
@@romano54321 the engine service light is cleared through your head unit. The check engine light is fixed with your tune, in the VersaTuner software when you are flashing your tune you have to select the option to ignore the code for low catalyst.
@@redhenracing2 thanks man, im thinking the same. i've been eyeing these PLM 4-1 header for the ND but cant find a single article about them on the forums. any thoughts? (edit: found 1 single post about shit welds) i'd post a link but it's not letting me lol. that or the skunk2 alpha.
Between those two, I've only seen the PLM in person, and it seemed well-made. I don't think you would be going wrong with either of them, with a mass-produced part like that there will always be somebody that found a bad weld or something.
The main catalyst is already in the stock midpipe. The smaller one in the stock manifold is considered a pre-cat, and is also considered unnecessary and disposable (for legal purposes, that's a joke)
Thanks man! I have many sets of wheels, and the Rotiforms pictured here are my winter dailies/winter rally wheels. They are my least favorite, but I do fuck with them, so they're good winter beaters. New summer wheel reveal soon!
Rad brothas and that sky active sounds good tbh n I run a hood dump n giant turbo na miata so I know obnoxious 😅... and I am deff curious to see what the tune do , is it still stock ecu? I gots to get a tune myself cuz I been street tuning but I'm sure there more power on table with a real tuner n maybe a dyno 😂... n e ways great vid but man it looks like they made the nd a lil more tricky to work on then the previous but deff seams worth it cuz besides my na the nd is deff my favorite all around miata 💪🏽🏎🦸♂️🤷🏽♂️🤣 peace n love fam keep it rad stay safe and build on l8z
Ahh, yes we are very excited to get back to the dyno. The ecu is running Versatuner software and we have been sending off tons of logs trying to get it dialed in, should be ready for the dyno soon
@@redhenracing2 did I see that right, when you took the stock header off, did it have a small cat connected to it? And that’s whey it throws a code. I have a 99 Miata that I’ve owned for 19 years and I’m sick to my stomach that I’ll have to sell it if I buy a highly modified 2023 Miata.
@@maxreh5894 yes, still on the stock midpipe. With it being a daily through a lot of rural small-town-sheriff-patrolled areas, I don't want to open it up any more than this.
