WOW We had a great day at HUNTINGTON BAECH METAL DETECTING with our Minelab Manticore & Xterra Pro detectors!
Struck out in the surf but the dry sand payed off this time! Always a surprise to see what we will find at the beach!!! This is the most rings we have found at a beach in a single hunt!

I had forgotten how wide the SoCal beaches are. Over here on the East Coast of Florida, we have to keep adding sand to have any beaches at all, which totally screws up metal detecting. There have been times when there's not 50' between the berm and the waterline.

Bill and Christine, today is 6-16-24 and I wanted to tell you guys about what I saw on the news today. There was a shooting at a tot lot in Richmond, Michigan today. A man showed up and got out of his car and fired 27 rounds randomly into the tot lot where a man and his wife were there with their two baby girls. The woman was hit 7 times while on the ground guarding her baby. She did survive. The husband was also hit and survived. Nobody was killed, but the guy did not know this and he jumped back into his car and rushed home and took his own life with the weapon he used at the tot lot. Strange huh? Lesson is you can never be sure if you are safe, and it can come from anywhere. Be careful guys and God bless both of you (and Buddy!)

I can’t even imagine the amount of trauma that family must have from the incident. I’m glad that they’ll physically be okay. We try to be aware of our surroundings but this is a very good reminder. Such an unfortunate event.

@@christinethestringbean It turns out that there were others hit. An 8year old boy got hit in the head and was in critical condition. Don't know if he survived or not. There were more. It all happened in less than two minutes.
