We ate at the BEST food hall in MANILA Philippines! We head back to one of the BEST FOOD HALLS in a mall that we've experienced so far. The Grid in Powerplant mall Rockwell is a really cool place to go and try all different types of cuisine and it doesn't have to be expensive! We try 5 unique dishes and all for under 1,700 pesos - the black frozen yogurt was definitely interesting 🤨

Japanese people have miso soup before their meals drinking it from the cup holding it with both hands. it’s healthy and most of all less than 20 calories!. The sauce is for the salad the one that tastes like sesame and the dark sauce is for the meat. Harry’s palette is quite developed for a young kid. Impressive!

Yes our first time trying miso! It had little bits of tofu in and was delicious 😋 it’s a bit of a grown up flavour that’s why the little ones weren’t keen ☺️ yeh he loves food 👍 thanks for letting us know about the different sauces we are still very new to Asian cuisine ❤️

Enjoyed watching your family try a mix of pretty healthy as well as junk/fast food. Harry definitely has a broad palate for his age. It's great that your kids are exposed to unfamiliar foods and culture early in their lives. This is what I do when going to food halls and affordable restos. Scan the whole hall or mall or menus. Then decide where to come back and order different foods that I like the ingredients of to share with other people. Everybody takes a portion with their clean utensils first, before everyone eats. I prefer miso soup and atchara as the flavours aren't overpowering. Unfortunately, I can only handle the mass produced kimchi, which can be less spicy and potent. Also the more authentic Korean kimchi and gochuchang spice in bibimbap because there are other ingredients to balance the flavours. Out of the popular American fast foods I've encountered thus far, In-N-Out is pretty tasty for something basic and cheaper. While Five Guys (particularly their fries) and Shake Shack, are also good, but cost a little more.

Oslo you’re so cute! I don’t get how Ellowen can just eat plain white rice😮 Harry tells it how it is…no holding back! I’m with you on that fork and spoon. I can’t do it either! I just use my hand rather than struggling 😅 I don’t particularly like Miso soup. My fav Korean dish is bibimbap so good. I took Korean Air and I’m so glad they had it. I’m not crazy about burgers, however I wanna try the mushroom burger at Shake Shack. I’ve heard it’s really good. Anyways take care always 🙏🥰

the brown sauce that comes with lechon is, actually liver sauce. But it is generally know as Mang Tomas all around sarsa (sauce). Its basically the only known liver sauce you can buy commercially but a lot of lechon places make their own.

Wow you tried a lot of food today! I haven’t tried the katsu in The Grid yet coz for katsu I usually just go for Yabu or Saboten and I like bringing my own sesame seeds for the sauce. Hope you can try other local burger brands that also make VERY GOOD burgers for less price like Hungry Homies and and Sweet Ecstasy.

Hi wistl family,hi rebecca,have you tried eating in calenderia or street foods? Because its really much cheaper and you'll be surprised on how good they are.many family vloggers are eating in calenderia where there is many kinds of variety of foods.there's grill,veggies,seafoods etc...they are tasty and cheap.try aling sosings calenderia in makati..the food there is nice,though you have to go there early coz it easily gets full of people.i dont usually like food courts in the mall,unless its restaurant.but you'll never go wrong with calenderia.the only thing with philippine dishes is you have to eat it with rice,because the rice tends to balance the flavor of the food.😄

It is rather a skill to cut with a spoon 😊 The usual spoon the average Filipino uses is rather thin so it is easier to use it like a knife. The spoon and forks in like hotels and the place you ate at has the thicker version so it is hard to cut with it. But really, it is just a matter of getting used to using spoon and fork 😊

Just a suggestion. You should let Harry create his own separate vlog. He can attract a lot of kids and young people in the Philippines and around the globe to watch him and his siblings. People in the Philippines maybe interested to know about foreign kids point of views and life in general living in the Philippines. He may be first around his age and a foreigner to vlog in the Philippines. Harry and his siblings can inspire people to watch. They can go viral. I know they are still young but if they would like to do it on their spare time, then they should go for it. Just a thought.

Personally, i don't think i've encountered meat i can't cut with a spoon hehe. Unless it's crispy fried chicken like Chickenjoy for example. But then you normally eat them with your hands anyway. Here and in the US at least. Don't know in the UK.

As a family you go to a food court and u order a food good for 1 person and do this as a content it doesn't look good the children looks hungry pity for them. better order for them and ask them how was it rather than u are doing if your on a budget that's fine but look at your own vlog and saw your children waiting for you to let them eat.
