Did Wuthering Waves Really Exceed Expectations ? 

All I wanted was better combat and more endgame and wuwa delivered that day 1. My waves have been wuthered

I don't know... After playing WuWa, i definitely noticed all of Genshin's flaws and if i really had to pick which game to play i'd 100℅ pick Kuro's. I feel it's because i've already achieved everything i had to achieve on Genshin, as for WuWa, the game's brand new and, from my experience, even better. As a begginer i'd suggest both but if u have already reached or passed ar 58 then I'd definitely go for Wuthering Waves.

Apparently them saying that they will be "increasing the drops of the of the Tacet fields in 1.1" is a mistranslation...

On the subject of endgame modes: Holograms - Great time sink for sweaty tryhards, and when you do meet recommended levels it's not as painful but still requiring a lot of focus no to get squashed. Also yeah, fuck Aix. I can die 1000 times on Mephis and it's fine because I can clearly see it's my skill issue. On Aix I feel like sometimes game is doing me dirty. Tower of Adverstity - tower type endgame is an obligatory thing in gacha games since the dawn of time, long before Genshin or HSR, it had to exist in WuWa as well. Energy system is directly transplanted from PGR's Pain Cage, I'd love to see actual Pain Cage transplanted as well. Which may happen because Alloy Smelt event is a basically a War Zone without PVP ladder, another mode from PGR. Illusive Realm - Another direct transplant from PGR and probably my favorite thing there. In PGR Kuro adds new "themes" which have their own story. There's a horror theme, tabletop RPG, etc.

I hope they add a Dungons end game feature. Lemme explain what I mean: You start in a ware-house type place and waves of ehos spawn, obvi, they get harder every wave (Funny thing: Wuthering waves ---> wave) at the end you're able to get an echo or other rewards. If it's and echo, you're able to chose from an element booster and rewards, according to how well you did the dungon you can get like 1-200 astrite (Kuro please consider 😭)

great review , i think you were positive enough in the other videos so that's why it didn't exceed expectation because you already think it's great to me i didn't expect much and it actually exceeded my expectation alot , i love wuwa and the gameplay is always fun , most people didn't have optimization issues as we saw in the recent polls that you talked about before , but 20% is still a big deal , i'm happy that more pêople are able to play now , and i think the game is gonna be great in the future

I don't think mount is necessary imo, I don't know if its just me but i find the traversal is perfect as of now, as long as newer maps aren't going any bigger for no reason it feels perfectly pleasing going point a to b running, it isnt like tower of fantasy where they over did it making traversal trivial and alot of empty spaces and isnt like genshin where its just annoyingly frustrating having to ran out of stamina just to run in the overworld, I think it fits perfectly atleast for me atm i think it'd be better to just give more traversal echoes like inferno rider to more of the other elements.

The story from Chapter 1-4 wasn't horrible, it was alright and Scar was the main deal. I admit that without him it would be lacking, but hey he was there.

Personally WuWa didn’t really exceed or underdeliver. As someone who played genshin it’s just alright. Maybe it’s because I also played terraria and had more fun in that than WuWa but I dunno, it just felt like a game that had so much hype I got bored when I actually got into it (if that makes any sense)

I am really hoping they fix the weird targeting, or at least give me the option to chose what my character is targeting, Wich is the closes enemy to my character it's weird to target something that I have pixel of on the bottom of my screen and faster target switching and prioritizing the direction I am pressing.

If it doesnt do much else the game will be fine for at least a year. If they want to be great I would like some genre crossover, raids, pvp streetfighter, survival, build your own dungeon, bosses who can swap in mid fight, idk lots of opertunity here.

What I always wanted from Genshin was a more mature gameplay, and thanks to Wuwa I finally have It.

I think they need add world co op raid boss later on patches. Like after 3-4 more patches. And boss shouldn't just be damage check they need add lot mechanics into boss. Like kill mobs and do a puzzle before boss go rage create a barrier to protect a area from rage stuff like that. I think illusvie releam is most fun game mode especially if they start working towards tho it like more echoes and new room with puzzles mini game etc. To early but i think devs need start work on skins.

It exceeded my expectations to the point that Wuwa makes Genshin look like a child's game. I played Genshin when I first came out. I haven't played Genshin in 3yrs. And randomly my little cousins wanted me to play games with them, I honestly even said to them I hate games like these. I even told them I don't want to go through the trouble of making an account just for me to never play. but to not disappoint my little cousins I made one. and I haven't stopped playing it. I even managed to convince my friends who really only play League of legends and valorant to play this game and they love it. now we having late night sessions playing Wuwa together. Once i finished the game and got tired of grinding for echoes I tried to get my Genshin account back took like a week to get it back. Once I opened it I hated it. No skip button, No running on walls, stamina sucks, HUD changed and worst too many lolis. (Doesn't really help with the fact I haven't touched the game in 3yrs so a lot has changed.) The only thing that can exceed my expectations even more is if they just stop making loli characters so good so I don't have to play these type of characters.

About 2:20 "Only two character can use Inferno Rider" You can actually equip 3 Inferno Rider on 3 characters btw. Just, farm more Inferno Rider echos. I always equip 3 Inferno for my adventure team, and it's like a free permanent movement boost :D

For pc i think this best game. But for android user this game is not friendly. Its so hard to play in high difficulty in android user. Drop fps, lag, not smooth dodge etc

Never been in my life i'm really happy 100% some area. Like it was really fun! like i need to do a Parkour without grappler and such. I mostly do 100% in Genshin because of the primogem, that's it. But when i play Genshin again after play Wuwa, i feel like in slow motion while playing Genshin again, but.. I forget to appreciated Genshin world exploration, because my first objective is to find Primogem. But now thanks to Wuwa, i trying to enjoy explore the Genshin map more than before.

Well, it personally exceeded MY expectations, but they honestly weren't very high, and as WuWa actually proved in a lot of aspects it's very easy to exceed Genshin. Not so much in other aspects, but for a GAME... well gameplay is majorly important, no? xD But in general I think expectations are one of the biggest issues to begin with. Expecting companies to "exceed" them in asking too much, in many cases even "fulfilling" them is already too much depending on how unrealistically high the expectations were. As long as a game is fun and engaging it fulfilled its expectations as a video game, no?

To be honest, Wuthering Waves is a good game, and I enjoyed and still enjoy playing it, but I feel something is missing. It seems to lack a certain feature because, so far, I haven't developed a strong connection to it. I've played many games, and the best ones for me are those that fully immerse me in their world, like Genshin Impact, Honkai, Sekiro, Little Nightmares, etc. Maybe and I hope they'll add some features that will improve the game

It kind of exceeded mine, but mostly because I didn't expect much. It's overall quality is very nice. The graphics are better than genshin, the open world exploration is much better, I didn't expect to like the world itself so much. It also has at least some fanservice -- more than genshin anyway, but still not near enough. It's combat is fun, but I don't much like it -- it's unnecessary complex. It's about just a bit less greedy for f2p than genshin and it's "artifact" system is just as awful as genshin's, so that's going as expected.

At least a motorbike would be nice... There's already a road in the word, I'm sure some bikes survived the past lament... 😅

Yes, I'd say it was satisfactory and I'm excited for it's future. One thing that I'm disappointed with is the shiny system. There's barely any shiny echoes to begin with. And most of them can be bought. The ones in the open world just spawn on specific locations. I need more shiny echoes and they should be random spawns in random locations. Shiny echoes currently have little to no value due to how easy it is to obtain it.

And i will say in my personal opinion, this game is actually better than genshin impact. The first time i play wuwa can not compare to the first time i play genshin. It has pros and cons but if i have really to choose i will choose wuwa absolutely

I will say Devs should stay true to their plan only for story. While feedback can be helpful but changing things up cuz of feedback on a topic as subjective as story is pretty bad idea. They should take feedback but then they should consider if they do change the story will it make a better story then before. But in case of other stuff the game has Devs should keep a eye out for feedback and make better changes which will make the game more enjoyable for us From gameplay to rewards.

imo, u really only need 1 dps character for the open world... so i just use inferno rider on 2 other characters (a supp and someone who can move fast like aalto). its better than other games

Yes and no. Love the more complex fighting and combos. The story is pretty ass NGL. The build-up to ch 6 was not great. Jinhsi was super annoying and 40 minutes of her yapping and poor world building was terrible.

I mean honestly, playing it just made me realize i was just playing it to just compare it with genshin. Yes it is 10x generous and has better mechanics and QOL then genshin but the story didnt attract me at all so i just stopped at half way. Obviously its just 1.0 so when the story and all the stuff becomes interesting, i am bound to continue playing it. As for now it just met my expectations but didnt surprass it.

I really want wuwa to add censorship skins for some characters like genshin that has censorship skins for Mona and Jean but I guess it will be so hard to add skins for every character

I wanna like this game, but damn if only the combat was a little slower it would be an absolute banger. I'm sure some ADHD havers feel really heard but I get nothing from just how sped up it all feels, like you cycle through your three characters in under 2 seconds.

For me - it's a big flop. I'm expected Genshin, but better in every way(fck them for what they did to my girl Dehya). What i get, except arguably better combat(I'm still not sure how i feel about it)? Downgrade in every other aspect of the game. And I'm not talking about slight downgrade, it's huge. And people said it's was much worse before rework. I can't even imagine what it was then. I'm not a FTP clown who only cares about pressing buttons, running hours and hours for trash in open world, skip story and calling everything mid - great, just because you get free stuff. Most important things for me - story, characters, atmosphere, music and all this - ToF lvl, which i despise. They just tried to bribe me to play bad version of already bad game? No thanks.

you don't bother to mention the horrible launch stream and marketing, email leaking, bad mistranslation, multitude of bugs and optimization issues I wonder why? It's even funnier considering in their most recent dev patch notes they mistranslated AGAIN. Echo farming is as garbage as genshin if not even more because only people that don't work a 9-5 job has the time to do it and even if you can farm infinitely for the correct main stat you are still gated HARD by the echo leveling system for substats. You can have 100 correct main stat echoes sitting in your inventory but they won't roll into the substats you would want and you need to use ALL your waveplates on tuners for that making it so that it eats into you needing to choose between using waveplates waveplates for character/ weap/ ascension mats and other domains versus raising echoes.

Playing Wuthering Waves after 4 years of Genshit Mintpack I can humbly say that it feels very outdated, copy paste NPCs, mediocre button mashing combat, dogshite character designs like look at their buff characters, they have noodle arms! My only complaints are the bugs but those are unavoidable for newer games so I'll give it a pass, these newer Genshill's doesn't know how atrociously bad Genshit's release was lol

I wish we could mount the random animals that roam the wild. Imagine just hopping on some random goat and zooming around on it. It shouldn't be like a main means of traversal but a thing that you CAN do.

Personally, after I had dropped Genshin and put a pause on my Star Rail account, I was in gacha game drought for a good year or two. When I heard of Wuthering Waves releasing, I decided to give a casual shot because it looked cool, but I wasn't expecting to get fully sucked in the way I did. So yeah, for me, it definitely exceeded expectations. My previous Genshin experiences probably played into it, but I was impressed by how it was just Genshin but better (imo).

Tbh they exceed my expectations way too much, at first I thought it would just be Tower of Fantasy 2.0 but damn, the graphics are so detailed like console games, the movement is smooth, even clunky character feels so damn smooth with swap cancels, the echo farming are to be expected but never thought that they would fight among themselves, and this is in experience from mobile gameplay, I'm surprised than my phone can at least handle it. And what's more, they manage to make every character have unique playstyles even without elemental reactions. They aren't just E>Q simulator like Genshin, their forte is their main special moves, and they have different way to activate their forte.

Bc it has like 4 years of updates, while we are still in 1.0 for Wuwa, so.. we got to wait a little bit more to see how the story gets interesting* In terms of exploration & combat - Wuwa *im waiting for the next updates so they can fix the audio & music since they finally got the wuwa budget to hire employees with experience for those fields ^^*

The glider is not bad its nice to get around and being in high places but. Having like a nice ground mount that gose fast would be nice. Just need more options for mounts.

I'm really happy how this game turned out. Wuthering Waves gave me pretty much everything i ever wanted from Genshin and a bit more and i actually enjoy exploring. Just running up walls and the grapple is such a good improvement. Some fights are hard, some events were fun, i'm very invested. But yes, echo progression is kinda painful and i hope they change it somehow. Maybe it's only because we are still in 1.0? Idk. I would give it an overall 8/10 for the release. Very solid, but there is room for improvement still

It was ok, what annoying is when I see playing gloss the game over like it's the best game ever when it's clearly not. At this point I'm rating it an average (esp with the flaws both game and coding) with a lot of potential. No sugarcoated bullshit, just real experience after 3 weeks. They shouldve put the dreamless fight as an act 4 a few months later because there was so much disconnect leading into it. They could've stretched that arc for much longer tbh.

I hope they add more interesting echo skills especially for 1 and 3 cost echos and not just about giving dmg buff and make it shiny. So far cyan feathered herons tops my list just for the dash, second was Excarat for immunity, and purple feathered heron for counterattack. Inferno rider driving's also great. Something good which makes world exploration and not just the combat exp more immersive, fun and convenient. There's so much potential lying here.

Aside from the fantastic graphics, story and combat system. I honestly just love the fact that Kuro listens to the players, regarding concerns about bugs or suggestions, and they even give us generous amounts of compensation ( a little too much if you ask me ).

Wuwa sort of has mounts. The ghost rider looking fire boss can be equipped as an echo. If you long press your transform button, you can ride his motorcycle for a bit. 3 copies of him on each character works wonders for exploration.
