I don't have the words to say how I appreciate the preaching of Mattie.. man, God is using you just continue in this focus your gonna go far and Jesus will take u there!
I don't care what people think, but i cannot help but smile when I watch this video. I pray that one day God will do this in my life and give me the love and guidance to look at my child and see what he/she was meant to be. Glory be to God forever and always!!!
If you know where Mattie has come from, you'd realize what God can do for anyone. If you like Metalcore, these guys just do it right. And if you're open to here a conviction that everyone can relate to, this man and this band could change your life, your entire outlook on the big picture. It makes me smile to see what these guys do that most Christian bands won't even attempt. Mattie is a true disciple of God.
you know what, I'm not a person of religion. I refuse to call myself an atheist even. And For Today is one of my favourite bands, they really know how to bring a crowd together. In march this year i saw for today at soma in san diego. After the show i went to the back and waited to talk to mattie about god. He spent about an hour talking to me and answering my questions. This man spent time trying to help me, an atheist who's interested in god, try and find him when no one else would. I have more respect for this man then i do for my own father. I haven't accepted god yet but maybe someday i will.
You will guide others who do not know. You will be a light in the dark. You are the clarification to the confused. God will use you. Thank you for what yo will do for the lost. God bless you.

I've fallen away from God. And this video, in a sense, jump started a reevaluation of my life. I thank God for men like Mattie. Men that I can look up to and say, "I want to be more like him."

sometimes it takes a long time. it's not the most convenient thing in the world. it can come at a great time in life, a horrible time in life, or anything in between. I don't believe in God, but I have so much respect for Mattie and the passion that he has for God. Passion is one of the most admirable characteristics that any human can possibly have. Even though I don't share the belief in God with Christians, I will always respect them when they stand up for what they believe in and are passionate about their beliefs.

Mattie is a great person. I met him a year or so ago, and he baptized one of my friends. He seems like a great dad, and if Christianity is what gives him the drive to bring his son up right, so be it. The whole "god speaks to me" thing still freaks me out, and I don't believe it, but for the sake of this child, he couldn't have asked for a better father. The only thing I see wrong is this kid probably isn't going to have a choice in religion. Which is sad. Everyone deserves the right to choose.
i see what your saying, but in my position as a son, i grew up in a christian family and my father always wanted what was best for me even if i didnt understand at the time. now that im older and on my own im thankful for the home i was raised in and how i was raised. my father showed me the way to live and i cant thank him enough, because figuring it out for yourself is hard. idk thought i would share my point, hopefully that helps
For Today is class A+ AMAZING. Just like his vocals, the whole bands talent is beyond AMAZING. And he isn't telling us to look up to false hope.
