It just shows a level of trust is all. Even though he's in an incredible amount of pain, Steve trusts Bruce to get it done. And Bruce digs deeps and gets it done.
Nah, this seems like a legit callback. No offense of course, but if you wanna look at it like that then you could say that Tony hugging Peter in Endgame isn’t a callback to Peter mistaking Tony getting the door for him as a hug in Homecoming.
@@gamigwilliam8107Yeah. Thor can take it, Clint would die. Tony and Steve have their armor and shield, Clint's basically naked in terms of protection. That's why he's willingly "hiding" behind Tony.
I like the idea that Bruce struggled so much at the start because he was also trying to bring Natasha back. But the soul stone was fighting that, as she was the price paid. Eventually, banner gives up on this and just wants those snapped to come back, and this is easier to accomplish and therefore hurts less
There's also the fact that Bruce just took on all six stones at once, with a gauntlet made of a much weaker material than the one used by Thanos. Even Thanos, with his Uru Metal Gauntlet, took the stones one at a time, so he could up the amount of power incrementally, slowly. Thanos had better tools, and a safer approach to using the stones' power.
@@ereynolds72 don’t get me wrong if I had been the director they would have all died just bc. Just saying him giving up wouldn’t have been plot efficient
There’s another theory about the arm pain: It wasn’t hurting due to the gauntlet clinging to his arm and the stones. It was hurting him severely because he was trying to bring back Nat, but since she sacrificed herself for the soul stone, the stones refused. If you remember at the end before Steve goes back in time to return the stones, Bruce reveals he tried to bring her back: “When I had the stones, the gauntlet I really tried to bring her back. I miss her man.”
@MomoMarethyuTheGhostgodSlayer that isn't the case in Endgame. Thanos just equipped the gauntlet with all the infinity stones with no problem Edit: wasn't*
Makes so much since. Though I wonder if Avengers 1 Hulk would have been strong enough. After Thanos whooped Hulks butt he was never as powerful it seems.
@@heydrianluisanilao1757 Yeah that’s why Infinity War is better because the story is written much better. I feel like they kind of half-assed Endgame. They made the first 45 minutes amazing, the middle was alright and then the last hour was awesome. It makes no sense how Thanos acquired one stone at a time and it drained a good amount out of him in IW and then in Endgame it’s no problem.
What Captain America was showing his both care for & faith in his emerald friend. Part of being a good leader is having faith that you’re team/subordinates can endure, but also know when to stop them. Which ultimately is playing with a radioactive wildfire when it comes to the emerald giant. If Bruce’s mind can’t take the pain, then the other less sociable guy will take over out of defensive, survival instinct.
believes in team? he chose his best friend over tony, best friend who killed tony's father.. hated him since that.. bucky don't even regret or feeling bad for what he did makes it even more disgusting..
@@freefolkgaming Bucky did regret it very much he went into exile in wakanda bro was having nightmares of that time and Steve only did that because he didn't wanted the team to break up and he knew Bucky had no fault he wasn't doing it in his own will
I've heard that his initial struggle was because he was trying to bring back Natasha, which was against the rules of the stones because she was sacraficed for the soul stone.
I remember Bruce saying he should do it because the stones emit gamma radiation, so it was like he was built for this. But in reality the stones emitting gamma radiation meant that they were the one thing that could actually do real damage to him
@@MrObasilawrence ok, but it’s not going to be from listening to you. Until then, maybe don’t make the experience absolute hell for other people who are actually enjoying it?
Thor knew if those stones drove hulk mad no one was going to be able to stop him with that much power... thor was genuinely fearing for everyone as well as himself
Since Hulk basically did not need to be in the movie plot wise until the fight with thanos, having hulk with extra gamma radiation to fight thanos would have been great, or destroy the ship
He's got armor, Cap's got the shield, and Thor's Thor, but Clint's defenseless. He even stepping to get behind Tony before Tony even brings his shield up.
Tony is a farther figure, he save Spiderman from dying in space by giving him the Iron Spider suit, he protects everyone like how a dad would protect his family, same thing when he suited up and used his shield to protect Hawkeyes also like how a dad would protect his family
This is why I love Marvel. Steve knows that he can push through his limits and hence trust Banner to be able to achieve the same. He knows from his experience (not learn from his mistake)
I get it. Bruce volunteered on a gamble to make the world better, just as Steve volunteered decades earlier. That's also the reason why he tried his gamma experiment on himself; he didn't want anybody else to suffer if something went wrong. Steve wanted to prove that he was a man in spite of his lack of muscle, and Bruce wanted to prove to himself that he was more than just a monster. Maybe also remember that conversation between he and Tony Stark on the Helicarrier about his transformation. He always saw the Hulk as a mistake, and wondered why was his life spared in that accident. This was Bruce's chance to answer that existential question and Steve wanted to give his friend a chance to learn the answer.
Bruce wanted to be like cap so much he become the hulk. This is where his story comes full circle. He's finally melded with the monster, and can now be the hero he's always wanted to be.
I did notice this, oddly enough... Cap knew what it was like to endure in order to accomplish the mission, unlike any of the others... And he didn't want to take that away from Bruce, putting the mission in jeopardy.
Shhh, don't ruin the mind reading delusion pertaining to characters in a movie. Even one so ridiculously far fetched as this. I don't understand how he figured out what Cap was thinking? It's amazing!
Actually it was because Cap believed that in order to succeed, they needed to do "whatever it takes". Cap was fully prepared for Banner to die. Because as Cap said in Civil War, "Fuck that guy" or whatever
Hulk can't die from gauntlet because he is made up from gamma radiation and the stones are mostly made from that that's why he did it because he was probably the only one who would survive it
@@joshuawillemse-rx9gm Thor, Captain marvel, Valkyrie But The Problem wasn't about durability, it was who could snap, Carol was off to another planet, Valkyrie was in new Asgard, Thor was not in the right mental state if he held the gauntlet the mind and soul Stone may have turned his thoughts to reality " I want my father back " or something like that
Did you know that the reason Banner only made cries of pain was because the gauntlet took his English until he was done getting fit for Godhood? And when it was done, Banner used the stones to reteach himself how to speak? He was able to learn the entire English language in just a few seconds.
Yet there Thor was, the new all father. A being who should be able to wear the gauntlet without issue. The same dude who got shot by a star and was okay. The same dude who chopped Thanos' head off.
@@JDMHonSpec that would be a good point, if In the scenes I was talking about they had actually snapped. When Hulk put the glove on it instantly made him shout in pain. When Ironman puts them on he’s fine until he clicks. I’m referring to when the stones were on their hand, not when they clicked. Also, your point is wrong, because Ironman removed thanos and his entire army
Tony: "You're still too young Peter. Wait until you're 21." Spider-man: Homecoming Far From Home No Way Home After graduation- SPIDER-MAN: Drunk & Homeless. 😅

If gave it to Thor but as tony said Thor was not in the right mental state for that if Thor would had the infinity gauntlet he would've come in greed and bias and accidentally wished for some loved one to come back or something
Cap knows hulks strength and banners will power and he has lot of trust on his fellow avengers That's why he trusted banner a lot and told thor to wait .. That's the quality of a leader A leader know all about his team Both leaders steve and tony did the same ..
The only reason Bruce struggled and was in so much pain was because he was trying to revive Natasha, witch was impossible so the struggle was really killing him.
Or...full power was coursing through his arm and he was repressing his hulk side too much so it hurt. Thanos charged up cause he collected then 1 at a time
@@joshduriden519 the idea the infinity gauntlet is gamma radiation is stupid as shit. But, he's actively repressing the hulk. Whether he calls it a truce or not. He's doing what wolverines skeleton is doing, repressing the healing factor. Him "being hurt" for trying to bring bat nat doesn't make sense cause he didn't really try until he snapped....also he got his ass whooped by a stronger thanos who also lost his arm using the gauntlet.
