You missed the best part, if you look at the other side through the grate you would have a round/fat turret, teaching them to sing which is seen in both an elevator and the end song
@@fernandom.varela1109 either they are referring to the theory that GLaDOS put Cave's mind into a turret, or the ending of desk job, where (spoiler) it turns out Cave Johnson put his mind into a giand metal head that was lost in the depths of Aperture and is singing forever in low tones. The theory is not believable, though. And Desk Job is not canon to Portal 2 (well, it's kinda canon because of the multiverse)
It's barely even a secret though too, I mean You know the game has hidden fun things like this here and there, it literally gives you a few of them, if you see a little shaft behind a vent and you have lasers to break the vent with, it almost seems like an intended possible side route

Their song is an OST song and it’s called “Turret Wife Serenade” I believe and I fully believe that they were all singing their love to the Diva Turret on the other side and I’m gonna cry cus I love ‘em so much 🥹
i actually got this on my first playthrough, and years later i got an earworm of this song and for the life of me i just couldn´t remember what it was from. so thanks for unlocking that memory.
Portal has so many easter eggs and secrets riddled throughout the series, and tbh, I think in the couple of years I played this game religiously I devoured all of them. That was quite a while ago, and I thank you for the little trip to the past.

Theres also a level where you can hear GlaD0s singing. I dont remember what chamber but I think Wheatley wasn't there and its one where you have to align the lazers with the receptors like this one
