Haven't watched the full video yet, but I'm like 90% sure that the event spam is something conflicting with Prisoners of War. I had the same issue before. I'm testing the mods now, and I'll see if I can replicate the issue to let y'all know what the conflict is. Edit: Okay, after looking through bug reports on the mods and playing a few quick test games, I'm now 100% sure that it's POW, but I can't replicate it well enough to know what's causing the issue specifically.

@@rdrrr Whats complicated about it? The real life HRE wasnt complicated at all lol. Just very fractured. Its always the people who dont know shit about history who say the HRE was complicated, just because they saw that bordergore map once.

@@HansWurst1569 You misunderstood what I meant and jumped down my throat for it. The HRE was complicated from a legal perspective - it had a more advanced legal system than most realms of it's era - and the factionalism between Pope and Emperor was really interesting. The HRE was not especially fractured in CK3's timeframe. The patchwork mess HRE happened later and tbh the maps are misleading anyway since countries didn't really have solidly defined borders at that point in history. It was more like different lords had overlapping landlord rights.

well greenland had some landing spots they nabbed lumber from over in canada. could have been more trees there in the past. imported from idk british isles or scandinavia. and boats were kind of a rich man thing

Wood could have been from either Europe or parts of eastern Canada. There's records of Norse harvesting wood from what is probably the Labrador region (so north of the more famous Newfoundland) as late as the 1300s, though these likely weren't permanent settlements and more short voyages (and we also aren't sure about their frequency).

It was there before it got chopped down to make the ships. They just made ships too fast to give for the already dwindling tree population (due to climate change) a chance to recover.

It plays no role in the game, just like the Maderia islands, which for some reason are included (and settled) ingame. Both were limited to having temporary settlements that'd eventually be permanently (within CK3's limited scope) abandoned With the way Paradox is handling EU5, HUGE MAP (Eu4's map can fit in EU5's atlantic ocean, or was it the pacific ocean, either of the two), victorianesque features like goods, usage of goods for buildings, armies, etc, POPS, an earlier start date in late feudal age, etc, I think Paradox can eventually think about making a great project where they'd incorporate both the time in CK and EU...though it's true that CK is quite unique in the fact that it's character based, but a more abstracted EU-esque game that'd include CK times could better illustrate places like Greenland that were settled, abandoned, resettled by other peoples, etc. But to the scope of CK3, I think Greenland is virtually irrelevant and very difficult to properly implement in a fun way. In CK2 they implemented pre-norse Iceland in 769 with an Irish theocracy because there were hypotheses for the presence of Irish monastaries in the Island before the Norse settlement, but it's just awkward and anachronistic to implement a theocracy ruling over the entire island, which was required for Iceland to be even represented in 769.

​@@miguelpadeiro762there is evidence for the monasteries in both wirtten saga form and from archaeology. The extent of it is unknown. But I wouldn't say it was precisely inaccurate. In so far as there was anyone on the island, the only organized groups were monks. Thus theocracy.

​@@joendeo1890 Oh, I mispoke there, then, sorry. It's still rather innacurate to band all the monasteries under one central bishopric that has control over the entire island. It was essencial for Iceland to be represented in 769 CK2, but it doesn't feel like a fair representation of the Iceland situation. I think in the future a system akin to older colonizing mechanics could be implemented to represent unorganized and/or barely populated counties that nevertheless have a population

@@Zaire82 It literally got assigned a bishop by the pope, is hugely relevant to the popular image of the vikings and important economically. It is also fun to include as RICE proved. I don't see why they didn't add it. It would be like 3-4 provinces at most as well as a bunch of sea and wasteland but would add so much imo.

@@SereglothIV Fire Emblem is exclusive to Nintendo Consoles, yee. Three Houses would be Switch. If he ever tried any of the older games he could emulate. 3ds emulation is getting better. (Citra emulator still exists on the web, you just got look for it (screw Nintendo))

You could always do some editing to mimick the colonizing, give the nation responsible for it provinces in greenland and the new world, or even make a seperate independant tag that broke free, etc.
