ABOUT BROOKLYN NINE-NINE
"Brooklyn Nine-Nine" follows the exploits of hilarious Det. Jake Peralta (Andy Samberg) and his stoically ever-professional captain, Raymond Holt (Andre Braugher), along with their diverse, lovable colleagues as they police the NYPD's 99th Precinct. In this final season of the series, Jake and the squad must try to balance their personal lives and their professional lives over the course of a very difficult year.
Rounding out the ensemble is Sgt. Amy Santiago (Melissa Fumera), who has a passion for organization and a weakness for dork dancing; Lt. Terry Jeffords (Terry Crews), a mountain of a man whose most powerful muscle is his sweetheart; Jake's best friend and human puppy dog, Det. Charles Boyle (Joe Lo Truglio); and the incredibly secretive, tough-as-nails Rosa Diaz (Stephanie Beatriz). Also part of the Nine-Nine are veteran officers Det. Scully (Joel McKinnon Miller) and Det. Hitchcock (Dirk Blocker), whose only skill as police officers is their ability to make a passable pot of coffee.

But it’s so obvious! I didn’t know they meant to hide it, haha, I saw it right away. I noticed in the episode before too, if they hide a female characters belly behind things or they wear loose clothing, the actor is basically guaranteed pregnant, it’s the most common way they hide it in TV shows

RIP Andre Braugher....I swear he reminded me of my first Platoon Sergeant 13 years ago. Rarely showed emotion, knew all the ropes, and would bring the hammer down on you if you messed something up because in the infantry lives depend on you and you need to depend on them. I remember I was distant from my parents but when my mom passed away while i was deployed...I was conflicted on how to feel...but I got to see personally in a conversation similar to Holt and Jake what my SSGT was like as a father himself. He counseled me, kept my head up and reminded me that "you can't change your past or what you never had in a family, but the beauty of you being your own man now is that going forward whether a decision was a mistake or not...your responsibility in growing up is seeing how special it is that as you get to choose the things you do for and give to others.". He told me that's how he was able to leave his broken parents behind and focus on his own family. Best Marine I owe my life to. And whether I have a family of my own (which I am so afraid of) I'll keep remembering that I was able to GROW UP and I can give anyone the love that never knew as a child.

I've watched this show several times. Still crack up at that Lion King scene. Also.... I am so bad at noticing pregnant women. Until someone told me a couple months ago, I NEVER noticed Amy's actor was pregnant through a good portion of this season and they either shot her quick or cleverly hid it so it was less obvious.

A full beard is not the same as growing JUST a mustache. And Jake meant it, his mustache isn't great, but its only purpose is to complete the beard cuz its not a good mustache. Amy wants Ron Swanson type...well actually she says Magnum P.I. but my point still stands.

You can tell that he shaved it before and they wanted to make it realistic since you cant have razor blades in prison even though it doesnt line up with how he always said he cant grow one. I think they wanted him to seem more childlike and less like a grown man but if you look closely in the episodes where he doesnt have one you can see the parts where he shaves.

You actually can shave in prison. They're given a disposable razor and shaving cream at shower that they have to return after. If any of the blades are missing they're searched until it's found. That being said, they really don't need one when you can make a more effective shank out of the metal from their beds

You can shave and still not be able to "grow a mustache". I personally don't grow facial hair fast or evenly, therefore I don't "grow facial hair". Like of course if I don't shave for like months or a year a mustache and beard will form but it will look disgusting like Jake in prison. That's what Jake is referring to, he can't grow facial hair evenly or fast

They spent most of this season hiding her pregnancy until the end of the season when they had her pretend to be pregnant in prison. If you pay attention they do all the classic tricks to try and hide it, but I feel by this episode it’s obvious that she was pregnant.
