This is me beating wizpig without using green boosts OR extended Purple boosts (letting go of acceleration button when u get a purple boost) This is inspired by ArgonMatrix who wanted to beat wizpig without green boosts
This is how I beat him the first time. I was so young that I could barely read back then, tried and failed at this race with most racers because I did not know about the green boost, and they were simply not fast enough to beat him in my mind. Then I unlocked Drumstick accidentally by driving over the frog, and I realized that while his controls sucked pretty badly, they were still a lot better than that of Crunch and the red bastard was significantly faster than the other racers, so I practiced the hell out of him until I beat the pig. Years later when I returned to the game and read about the green boost I facepalmed and beat the pig on 3rd try with Diddy, some great memories with this game.
This game and others, I can’t tell you how many times I got screwed as a kid because tips like this are only said ONE time during the entire game. So if you miss it or can’t read well, you won’t know about it.
@@MasterOfTruck Taj tells you to try a boost without holding A after a boss. But the dialog lasts for no more than 10 seconds and only happens once. It’s so easy to miss.
I guess you were like 3 years-old if you could barely read, and you beat Wizpig at that age? Anyway, it’s pretty impressive for a person under 10, my biggest accomplishment in video games was probably beating Mario Hoops 3 on 3’s Rainbow Cup in hard mode when I was 9.
I was 7 when I first played and beat the game. I could only read French, my first language. I learned English thanks to video games. I learned it based on context cues and similarities to French. For example, I learned what sword and shield means a year later with Ocarina of Time. I wasn't good enough yet to understand Taj's tip about green boosting, but thankfully older kids in my babysitter's house told me about it while playing together. I was approximately a third of the way through the game when I learned about it. Those same kids also beat Wizpig with Drumstick, but I did it with Pipsy.
Its possible to beat Wizpig without the drifting too ;) this comes from person who did it (when I first time ever beated Wizpig, I did it without green boosts and drifting as I didn't know about green boost)
Purple boosts and green boostsare technically the same. If you go over a zipper when holding the A button when you get off it let go of the A button you have the same speed as the green boost.
Some advice. Green boosts are your friend, let go of the accelerate button before you hit a boost to gain an insane boost. Speedrun trick, don't hold down the accelerate, quickly tap it while your race, you'll actually go faster tapping the accelerate than when you just hold it down.
Bruh I beat the while game without the green boosts because I didn’t know! I almost had a breakdown on Greenwood Village’s coin level because I had to do everything perfect and it took me like 3 fucking days. I learned after playing on adventure 2 when I looked it up cause I knew something was off and now I’m a beast
@@ImPersonNation for sure, well he’s a secret though and has the top speed so yeah.. that’s what the OP meant. He’s a secret unlockable character with the best speed.
I feel like that was almost all kids, unless someone specifically told you or you were both good at reading and paid attention to what the animals were saying, you'd probably never have found out.
