At the In-Didj-In-Us gathering of 2012, Dan Flynn plays a didgeridoo that is designed with 12 resonant pitches, arranged in a perfectly tuned Turkish Gypsy scale. Collaborating with Dr. Frank Geipel of Germany, Dan Flynn had this didgeridoo machine lathed to an exact shape as specified by a computer software developed by Dr. Geipel. Simulating the didgeridoo inner shape the software calculates the didgeridoo design based on the desired musical scale. This technique is called CADSD (Computer Aided Didgeridoo Sound Design) and the results speak for themselves.
