So many act as if God is not enough! I yearn for the presence of a holy God, without the backdrops, flashing lights etc. that he be lifted up and praised!!! God is the giver of every good and perfect gift, but they have to put on a show, yet Jesus came to save the world! He should be the star, because he really is!!!😭😭😭
Beyond true! Been going to church a little more and more but it’s so exhausting to sit and watch the show every church is seeming to put on. My head is killing me from all the lights and mist and music speakers blasting for 45 mins before the Word even gets preached. Gods people are hungry for the Word praise Christ amen

No one wants to be entertained! We want God’s truth, honesty and transparency. I was a Muslim from age 4 to 35 but now I am a follower of Christ. I see why people are converting to Islam. There’s a whole lot of foolery in the pulpit.
There was about 30 of us on a chat today. Many at work, but ALL got a chance to chime in, we all prayed, worshipped without music praising our Lord! Many prophesied , men & women, praying for each other & others read scriptures & listened to the wonderful words of the Lord coming from many! We were in this service about 8 hours & people still wanted to hang out....im sure many went to work, cleaned their homes, took care of children & cooked meals while being connected to each other! It only seemed like a couple of hours....not 8! Over & over Jesus said He loved us, some saw visions & discussed dreams! We repented & renounced unclean spirits, we loved on each other.....It was beautiful!
Yes, yes yes! My pastor lead our entire church into a place of repentance for hurting each other in church and if you had been hurt in church. It was one of the most powerful things I’ve ever seen. And once again, just like you said, nobody wanted to leave. I have seen that. We will come into church on a Sunday and on Monday morning we walk out saying didn’t our hearts burn with him. And all of it was nothing but pure worship. We are the center of transformative moves. Let us all be open, and actually, Kortne gave a word sometime ago, that we gotta be ready and willing and able to forgive those, especially who have come to a position of repentance and turning it around. forgive and be reconciled. Amen.

I left the church 10 years ago for the same reasons and I don't miss it either. I have spent more time with God being outside church than I was when I was in the church.
Hey church leavers. Me too. I left in 2020 January. It was firstly because I had to care for my family member who was sick but afterward it’s been because of the things Kourtney spoke about. Anyway, I then joined a good church because I knew what I was now looking for. Please friends, church isn’t ultimately bad. Just seek and you will find a good one. I cannot express just how grateful I am being in my current church now. It’s small but man- it’s home. “and let us consider [thoughtfully] how we may encourage one another to love and to do good deeds, not forsaking our meeting together [as believers for worship and instruction], as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more [faithfully] as you see the day [of Christ’s return] approaching.” Hebrews 10:24-25 AMP
@@226justt3 I implore you all, specifically the true children of Israel, the Word is going forth to come out of these churches. The Most High Yahuah is not there. We can probably count on one hand the actual churches that are truly following the statutes and commandments of the Bible- those churches that don't celebrate pagan holidays, follow RCc doctrine, do not have a 501c3, do not have pagan symbols like a cross and/or a steeple, etc. Those are the "churches" that may be standing in these last days, otherwise they have already made their inroads with the NWO and it's OWR. I got that more people were waking up to THE TRUTH and the church wasn’t worshipping in Spirit AND Truth. As well as some pastors being worshipped instead of teaching The Congregation how to seek HIM JESUS daily how to build relationship. Perhaps ppl were on their phones because that was how ELOHIYM has brought truth to some people. And “the church” just couldn’t feed them anymore; as in catch up.
God has been leading me to prayer walks most of the Sundays. It's winter in South Africa and he's taking me outside instead of going to church buildings. This comforting

I thank God for this confirmation! I left a church because of this recently. But not before speaking to saying that it was just performances and the Lord wasn’t happy. I was so sad because the preaching was fine
More than two years I had been hearing it was time to stop the parade of flesh . I heard after hearing you while I was writing this comment to send to several pastors, out of the movie gladiator with Russell Crowe are you not entertained. He was being sarcastic after people had given their lives For the purpose of entertainment in the arena. I have been praying for bleeding shepherds for about six years now. At one point it was a Clarion call. I’m asking right now in the name of Jesus in the presence of this prophetess and all that will read it that we, instead of ridiculing, we will pray for those who have to leave the entertainment of preaching and back to their original, call and purpose before the shows began. ❤
There was no fruit of the spirit in the very well known church I used to attend so I stopped going a couple of years ago. I have been closer in my walk with God than I ever been since 2022

Amen this is so true. I’ve gotten closer to Jesus the past 4 years being out of church than being in it. I do watch online church and different sermons on RU-vid multiple times a week, but there aren’t any churches near me who preach the word with conviction. It’s all lukewarm entertainment and I’m done with it.
We must be careful about our mindset of " what I am getting from this church".. to wholesome and biblical focus of " what gifts and talents can I use to bless and edify the church I'm attending....Jesus came to serve, not be served..pray..if your not getting fed biblically then a change may be required, but it must be God's decision..as He may have things for us to learn and help with as these times change..Paul wrote". Don't stop meeting together as some are in the habit of doing"... Let's use discernment and the Holy Spirits guide in all our decision making...praise God...
Even some little churches are just , sorry but, dead. No Holy Spirit moving at all. No anens, glory to God, no lifting if hands for praise because there is none. I know we are not supposed to be choosey, nor to divided , but honestly and it's not because I'm bold , but I will be! But I cannot got to a church where it's spiritual nothing. Not saying wasn't good sermon was and nice people . But last one didn't believe the holy spirit moves or that people could here him.cant hear God I was like wow. I nicely told her that's not true and told her some things had done for me. I have no church now. Isolation, bno fellowship but I'm going to the one I was at there was some B's going on but I wanna let that go and move on. I was happier there and close with the spirit. Loved people. Entertainment not at church. The spirit of entertainment is for the theater TV movies and other such like. Maybe I misunderstood the message. I should watch it again
I see now you mean ppl want to be entertained. Well this is church. I’m glad I’m a Lighthouse Baptist. Many of the things I thought was true aren’t. It is so crowded in our small auditorium because the main auditorium roof caved in. We don’t expect to be entertained. This is a very deep subject. Yes
It's also the delivery. I hate being yelled at, but look at how many preachers yell and shout and carry on, as if you're too stupid to understand. I find it insulting and won't tolerate it!
If the Gospel is being preached truly and the Spirit of god is there, entertainment is not needed. In other words. ANY place, whether church or parachurch that has relied on gimmicks and MANIPULATION are not being true to JESUS! Wake up O sleeper rise from the dead and CHRIST will shine on you.❤
There praise as it should be all about singing and music at its best and that maybe fine but there’s no time for each other in sharing to getting to know one another . Praise and worship is more than that it’s in All you do for the lord , acknowledging God first in Service in home , job and your community . What happened of leaving your voice to the lord without the 2:03 concert . As for the peaching I been founding there’s more milk than meat in these days pointing towards the end of our age but that’s my opinion.
Church wants numbers. Put on a show. Not worship in spirit and truth. People are sick of it. Want a spirit lead message and worship. I was run out bc I was spirit lead. By the pastor....
I love good preaching, I can’t stand the entertainment. It’s very…showcase-y almost?! It’s not the most relaxing or spirit led…idk…it’s just too much for me I guess.
Perhaps they are bored by God. God can be found in boredom. Leisure, spare time, is the basis of all culture. The need to be entertained by life constantly is exhausting. Life is not "Hollywood". People are way too savvy to be impressed with fog shows and Christmas plays. And now there are new "movies" coming out that will show us all how "faith" really looks. Entire studios devoted to giving us more canned performances with "uplifting" themes. How did it ever get this bad? Do you know? Must we all be forced to watch "The Chosen" so we will all know how to "act". Where is the authenticity? What does that look like? Jesus never had a phone. Children are seldom bored. We keep them entertained. Our children watch what we do closely. Don't they? We have never defined our terms, have we? Good and "bad". Pain and "pleasure". Desire and "regret". We ALL get that. What about TRUE and FALSE? Light and dark? Love and fear? Are we scared? You fear what you do not understand. Do you really believe you "understand" God? Is that what a HUMBLE believer thinks? That they "understand" God? How? God is not found in a "holy" book. The "holy" books are there for MAN. Not God. God has no use for "holy" books. The WORD became FLESH and BLOOD. Not paper. Paper burns. God is Indestructible. Is this a "big" mystery? Yeah, as a matter of absolute importance, IT IS. Very BIG. Infinite Love. That's "big". Is it not? Can you understand INFINITELY PERFECT LOVE? No. Never, for one moment believe you understand LOVE. Fools fall in love. Remember? Jesus...the FOOL? The One Who Loves God Above All Else? Only a fool loves God. You must be willing to play the fool for God. Jesus did. Will Jesus do it again? An "encore" performance? What does that look like? More entertainment? Guitars and "Kumbaya"? Sounds boring. What is needed is...a fight. One fight... ...coming up. God never fights fair. Never. Ever.
If people get non-talking massages, without their phones the whole time, they can start to do things without being so bored. If they ready themselves before stepping into church buildings or areas, and pray for ears to hear and eyes to see and hearts to receive and minds to perceive and wills to yield to the Father’s will while the Holy Spirit fills, they can focus more and have a good time, aside from any iota of entertainment. How selfish and sad! People be ready~ 🎚️ Jesus is King and it’s not about amusing you or me, it’s what He wants of you and me, and that is more than pleasing. :)
