I've been here since the beginning of your BTS journey; however, I don't comment very often. Today, I had to. I want to say that you are appreciated. The world needs more men who can cry, express their feelings and that's the magic of BTS. They lead the way. This song is spreading love and it's so packed with it because it embodies BTS x Jin x ARMY x Coldplay x you x me, everyone that has an open heart! My heart goes out to the korean families that woke up to loss and pain.

The live performance is just something else. Jin’s voice is really heavy with emotion and sounds like he is on the verge of tears….thus everytime I watch it or listen to it I’m crying too 😭 Chris providing comfort and support on stage to Jin is beautiful

When Jin was just dancing around on the stage he looked like a beautiful innocent carefree child, it was just a beautiful moment. I also have to say that moment with Coldplay my favourite British band was simply bloody fantastic. Bravo, Bravo, encore (jumps around widely in gleee)

This was the most beautiful "see you later" song. I refuse to call it a good-bye because he'll be back. There's so much symbolism in this video, and the love behind it is so palpable. Thank you for reacting to this. Saying good-bye is always hard and it always sucks. But just think how beautiful the reunion will be.

i appreciate a lot the way chris introduces the song and it's intention. how he commented about the enlistment as "it's serious and i hope it goes ok" instead of discussing any controversy or putting his opinion on it. it's so rare to see.. compassion. im glad coldplay are looking after them, kind of. i believe they are good people. and bts never had any industry seniors in the west to guide them a little. i remember they spoke about it, that they had no one to give them advice and they had to figure everything out by themselves when entering global recognition era. the friendship bts and coldplay have now really warms my heart. who else could be the best role model, huh? when you look at coldplay stadium concerts now you think "yeah, this is bts' future too" and i loved this comment by chris he made a few months ago maybe, that just solidifies how grateful i am that these bands found each other Chris Martin: "the collaboration was really rewarding. it started at beginning feeling like a very strange idea. but by the end, now, it feels almost like the most natural partnership, which is a really strange thing to say. we love those guys, and to be honest we really care about them. they don't necessarily have the same freedom as we do all the time. and we would encourage that they'd be given than freedom cause they are special people. and what they create together is very uplifting for millions of young people and old people. so i feel quite protective of bts. and at this point we don't judge anything except when we feel that it's cool. right? or is it doing something positive? bts are so positive for the world. and it's a lovely feeling when you don't have to worry about anything other than 'does my heart like this thing?'"

My country also has mandatory military service, but is much shorter and flexible than Korean ones. (I'm Taiwanese, and just like South Korea, our relationship with our "neighbor" is quite tense, therefore the mandatory military service.) So I thought I would be quite okay with this temporary goodbye. But the truth is, this is way harder than I imagined...😭 Really love this JinXColdplay collaboration, very soothing and hopeful and full of love. I wish him (and other members as well) stay healthy and safe during the service. Also, prayers to the victims and their families in the Itaewon incident.

This song didn't affect me really hard until I watched this performance.. This is Jins love song to Army, the braille tattoo on his neck spells Army, the puzzle has the words Army Family n a space for BTS with the letter T filled in, the lil girl represents Army, peep all the Coldplay objects even Chris on the TV, when he's teaching her to ride a bike awwww. In the end the astronaut decides to stay with his New Family and he smiles when Army rings the bell to come out and play.. But in the performance when Jin runs to Chris's arms just broke me, they have such a lovely special relationship and it really makes you realize what's important in life and just how much these 7 young men have changed us💜💜💜💜 Prayers and Healing for Itaewon

The wonder of this song is that it is a very happy and hopeful song and yet sad as we know the story behind it. Just a beautiful song so fitting for Jin's voice range.

he only smiles 3 times, looks at us once, sings once in this.... it is his hug to the ARMY. The girl is ARMY. The crossword puzzle black boxes are braille lettering that says FOR ARMY, He is an astronaut that decided to stay. All sorts of easter eggs in his room. Lastly the pick up truck used in one BTS' video including the last one Yet to Come... listen to Chris' introduction to how the song came to be. It is his Hug to us.

Jin in the mv is an alien who has crushed on earth and had to adjust to a foreign life. as he wait for his ship to repair or for his fellow aliens to rescue him, he finds a friend, a little girl. when his ship is ready to take him back to his planet, jin realizes his home is not a place anymore, but someone who found a place in his heart, so he stays on earth and bts often use female characters to represent army. the black boxes in his crossword say "for army" in braille, there's a tattoo on his neck also in braille that says "army". and army is the word in the crossword too alongside with moon (his other solo song for army), star, astronaut, cozy and family i believe that his unusual behavior, like you said a stoic face or the way he couldn't blend into the flow of people on the street, is because he is s stranger to this planet, society, culture, species. but he and the girl thought each other things. so he smiled a few times in the mv, when he was with her, when he saw he succeeding in riding a bike. that makes me sad because he taught her how to ride, and then gave her his helmet before leaving :( so she can stay safe when he's gone :( i will really miss him a lot if you look at the ship in the beginning of the mv that just crushed, there's no greenery around it, but when he comes back later after seeing that bright light signal you see that the trees around the ship are fully grown already. just a theory but it takes minimum 10 years for a tree to grow, so the little girl might be around that age. and army's 10 birthday is next year just as bts' also more into theories: it wasn't the same truck car that often appears in BTS' mvs that picked jin up, but i still think that its meaning can transcend the BU universe. the difference in cars is enough to separate it from BU, but the similarity in them makes me think that it's not a coincidence. truck in BTS MVs always represented the friendship between 7 of them, their happy memories together, and Jin as the oldest was always the one driving it with other boys inside. this time it drives him _home_ to the girl (ARMY) who became his family. he thanks us for giving him a dream to live for as he mentioned in the song release message, but points at who he took this path with: his brothers

The symbolism throughout the MV is pretty incredible if you know the meaning. The most noticeable one is that the little girl represents ARMY. Notice how he's very stoic until the end where he finds joy in playing with the girl. Black boxes in the crossword puzzles spells out "FOR ARMY" in braille and he fills in the words "FAMILY" "ASTRONAUT", etc in the puzzle. The braille on his neck spells "I LOVE YOU." The guitar on the chair is the guitar that was gifted to him by Chris when they met in New York. The Coldplay merch/posters in the bedroom. The news guy on TV is Chris Martin. Yes he made a cameo in the MV. A lot of scenes in the MV are direct references to scenes from various Coldplay MVs. The truck at the end represents the one in "the most beautiful moment in life era." Real ARMY will know. There's a shot in the MV where all the members of BTS is shot in and around a pickup truck. But in The Astronaut, Jin is shot driving away alone in the truck, symbolizing he's going off the the military alone without the other members. Objects in the room represent the members of BTS: RM is the books, Suga is guitar, Hobi, camera, V - Vinyls, JK - Radio, ARMY - Solar System.

STAY STRONG!saying goodbye is very hard.. before pandemic my boyfriend whos also my bestfriend have to leave to process his application for coastguard and pandemic hit and he cannot come home for almost two years and my life become colorless without him. Weve been together for 5 years everyday and its very hard to adjust with the situation, now he's already home and need to leave again for his 6 Months training.. He has similar personality with JIN who is very positive and loves to mess around just to make me smile, i cant stop crying watching JINs performance, i can feel his pain. im afraid this song will still be in my most played two years later. and i love how it's full of longing yet has this strong sense of journey filled with hope to remind me that i should keep living my life even when we are apart because there is a day in the future when we will reunite again we are all sad to say goodbye (see you later) to them now and when i think that i will have to experience this 7 times.. i sometimes only see the amount of days that will be filled with tears for me like i've beem crying these two days. but i saw one army saying that we also have 7 "i am back, army" to look forward to. that thought made it a little bit easier

Chris treats Jin like a little brother - he's a good hyung, look at the pride all over his face! The hug, the little kiss, the "you got this brother!" Their relationship is so respectful and loving. The video is Jin telling us - ARMY - that we made him who he is, and he loves us, and he'll always come home to family. Even if we don't need him anymore, we loves us, he knows we love him. It hits me extra hard because of some parallels with my relationship with my kids. Especially my daughter. Jin flew all the way to Argentina to perform this song live for ARMY just once before he enlists. If anyone ever doubts his sincerity - what did he have to gain from that? i find this moment 6:05 so.. personal. the whole mv is shot like a short film for the purpose of telling the story, so actors are not supposed to break the 4th wall and look you in the eyes unless it's to convey something more than the plot itself, right? when jin dives into his memories - a purple universe - and despite everything breathtaking that surround him, he looks at _you_ and "there is no one else" that you feel in your soul.... i don't know how to describe it

I really appreciate what you got from the song. I feel you abt finding your own sense of home and a self-found family from the friends you make after leaving the place where you were born and raised. I think that's a wonderful message to take away from the song too. And I thought I was prepared for the live performance when it aired, but then Chris made that speech and that got me emotional and once Jin ran to him, I broke and couldn't stop crying throughout the rest of the performance. It was a truly beautiful stage and I look forward to seeing Jin onstage again. 💜 What happened in Itawon was such a tragedy. I hope more ppl can choose to be sympathetic and compassionate abt it, esp towards the ppl who were there and towards the friends/family who lost a loved one (I'm just seeing too much callousness over who's to blame).

This was a good reaction. I am proud of Jin & BTS for taking matters into their own hands, rather than being jerked around by the Korean government. I personally know someone whose brother was exempted from Korean military service because their father is a professor in Busan. What's up with that? My son voluntarily served in the US Marine Corps as a sniper. I am very proud of that, particularly because he gave up a scholarship to do it. He continues to serve as a firefighter & first responder. The external locale was outside LA & the neighborhood was a movie set. There are a lot of Easter eggs in the MV.

Yay, another army learning Korean??? I've been advocating not only for fans to give it a try, but to help each other with the language. You made a good point, Jin doesn't show any feelings during the video and just smiles at the end. The concept of the MV that was made for the Army's, a small farewell gift for the time he will be in the Korean military service. Jin came from space, where he didn't have big emotions and no big plans for his life. The girl represents the Armys, you saw that he gave her the helmet and taught her how to ride a bike and finally let her go, he made sure that we will be safe and well. There were also moments when he and the girl played, and she taught him having fun, in the Armys'. And finally, he preferred to stay on the ground with and at the end when he smiles and hears the bicycle bell, and we, the ARMYs welcoming him back. I understand that. Thanks for the reaction.

I had been trying to guess where they shot the space ship scenes, and I thought maybe just south of 395, but they just released the shooting sketch. It was Tejon Ranch, which is in the grasslands between LA and Bakersfield of I-5. We were close! So beautiful!!

Just giving my two cents' here. Mike, I fully understand how you feel towards your friends and the bond of of friendship and brotherhood you have with them and how you can relate to BTS and their bond of friendship and brotherhood with each other. Similarly, I believe as fans of BTS, we too feel the same way. Apart from loving their songs and the music they create which transcends borders and languages, I believe many of us love BTS for their warm and loving nature, humility, generosity, authenticity and many other attributes. It is painful for many fans upon knowing that BTS members are going to enlist sequentially starting with Jin as all 7 of them are like a son, a nephew, a cousin, a grandson etc who are going away for 2 years to serve in the military. As painful as it may be, we are also proud that they are going to carry out their mandatory military service as per what they have said time and again that they will serve their country when they are being called or when the time is right. It is fruitless to wait for their Government to come to a decision about exemption. Personally, I feel that an exemption would come with a high price to pay. We love them and we will always be there for them be it in warm caring thoughts, words or deeds just like how they are there for their fans be it in good times or bad times. Jin's 'The Astronaut' has depicted clearly that BTS and ARMY & fans who have yet to sign up as ARMY are one big family. As a family, we are there for each other and we stand by each other. The Astronaut is definitely a song which will forever be ingrained in our minds and hearts as it is a goodbye song for a little while ( two years ) and its release coincides with Jin's preparation for military service. Jin's voice is truly precious and each time he belts out '..when there is no one else and I love you', his voice tugs at my heart strings. During the live performance, Chris Martin looked like a proud elder brother stretching out his arms ever ready to give Jin a warm hug and Jin too stretched out his arms ever ready to hug Chris back. That was a precious moment. I teared up when I saw them hugging each other and with Chris giving Jin a peck on the temple, I couldn't hold back my tears. It is there that we witnessed the bond of an elder brother and a younger brother, respect and admiration both Jin and Chris Martin have for each other.

When I saw your eye make-up, I knew it was a bad decision. 😅 I was a complete mess after watching the live version. Such a beautiful song. Also, it makes me happy watching people talk about the positive influence BTS has in their lives. Thank you too for using your platform to spread love.

Ahhh, I thought I was over the tears but now I am actually crying all over again. Especially when you start talking about moving away from home and missing your friends. because that is my story too. Moved away from home to another continent 7 years ago and sometimes I wonder if its worth it if I am missing out on some of my friends' milestones. My best friend got married and I couldn't go home because I had my thesis defense around the same time. And it is the same with family, as my parents age I sometimes wonder if I will regret these 7 years at one point in time but you gotta pay sacrifices for your dreams. That doesn't make goodbyes any easier though, or make the distance feel any closer. Anyways, sending you so much love and hoping that you will be able to see your friends soon, even if it is not for the holidays. And have a wonderful holiday too! I know how they don't feel the same when you aren't with the people you cherish but nevertheless, I hope you will have a great time.

Pure, wholesome, genuine. Bts and coldplay really share the same vibe and energy. That's why they relate this much. I feel you. I felt the same way with my friends. I moved on with my life, choosing that this path doesnt include them. My friends are amazing, but sometimes you need to choose. Between them.. Or yourself. I cried many times too because I miss them and I hope they miss me too. Yes, the tragedy is so sad. It's 151 death if im not mistaken. It's so tragic. We're also experiencing the same in some parts of our country because of the typhoon. Pets, livestock, people are dying bec of drowning in flood.
