half was brilliant half was shameful. still good movie. the note im commenting is that i think bond in skyfall 2012 never forgave dame judi dench M for abandoning him (here in 2002) and forcing him to go rogue (here in 2002). for she said 'what did u expect? an apology? u knew the game. u've been playing it long'- meaning she says basically abandoning agents for whatever reason was bound to happen, once in a while. but she did that to him twice, and he still came back to serve England and protect her. wow!!!

Technically, "Moonraker" is a lot more outlandish than "Die Another Day" considering Drax' massive Space Station and the fact that Bond actually went into Orbit in that one. But I still vastly prefer the older movie because the ridiculousness was executed with a lot more... Class, I suppose? With more Grace? From the beautiful score to the often gorgeous cinematography and the impressive Production Design, "Moonraker" is simply a lot easier to enjoy if you're willing to go with the premise. And I'm not gonna lie, it's Special Effects aged a lot better than the CGI in this movie, which is often painful, even for 2002-standards. To be fair, DAD has its moments and a few cool scenes and it can be enjoyed in a "So bad its good"-way, but I'd still rank it near the bottom. It's easy to believe that the director (Lee Tamahori) got a list of Bondian Things and references to older movies to include while being instructed to simultaneously turn everything up to eleven (in a way, going through the motions but in the most spectacular way) but it mostly doesn't work.

I have to admit I have a soft spot for Die Another Day, because I'm sure it's the first Bond movie I remember seeing. At the time, I thought it was pretty solid, but now looking back on it, boy was I wrong. I think some of the action is good, but they did go overboard with the gadgets, CGI and borderline science-fiction plot devices in this one. Also, this film does have some of the cringiest one-liners and performances of the modern Bond era. Still, like I said I can't bring myself to write it off totally because this was my entry into the Bond franchise. Love the reaction though, when you said at the start "They call it a mine. This was technically the first Bond film I ever saw in theaters because the film me and my sister watched while my parents watched this finished earlier so my mom brought me and my sister in to wait with them just as Graves goes into the turbine. It’s not worst film ever and has its moments (first sword fight, the Q scene, Rosamund Pike) but it’s a let down. My biggest issues were the plot, script and Bond Girls. Halle Berry does her best but I don’t care for Jinx due to her atrocious dialogue and how she needed constant rescuing from Bond. Like I said I like Pike but Frost seems wasted in this. She has a fairly fleshed out background (more so than Jinx) but her reason for siding with Graves is weak and after her betrayal is revealed her only purpose in the film is to set up and then participate in a cat fight

After the amazing Garbage song, we have Madonna. The son itself is not bad, but is not a bond theme. "Beyond the Ice" by Red Flag was also for the run, but the producers rejected for been too much dark. Which kinda suits more the vibe for the intro, but anyway! we get pop Madonna analyse this! The movie is more messy then The world is not enough, but still is entertaining. The awful CGI was one of the worst things that this movie offer. Aside from Jinx. I just cannot understand if was Halle performance or the script itself. She was supposed to be like Pam Bouvier (Licence to Kill) but god!! Jinx was so much annoying like Stacy Sutton (View to a Kill) far from the worst Bondgirl... but still not my favorite. Rosamund Pike was one of the best thing this movie had, and her chemestry with bond was amazing. Miranda Frost, is one of the best femme fatale and Henchwoman that exist. One of the few people almost destroying Bond. She burn him in south korea. Its funny in the final fight, she was superior that Jinx, but her moral fight kinda allow Jinx to win. Jinx kinda played dirty! Gustav could had been better, Toby did his best, but the script didnt help him. Rick Yune did good as Zao and is not that memorable as others Henchmans but i dont think he was the worst! Pierce again nail it, but my only complain, was Bond not been in darker mood, like Timothy in Licence To Kill. This was a good theme to put Bond rogue and full rage. but it didnt!

I never have been and never will be on board with Jinx killing (or rather straight up murdering) Frost in the finale. Literally every single outcome that would've seen her survive presents itself more interesting and satisfying than what we got. 🤷🏻 I mean, it seems the common audience reaction to that 14:49 has to be something along the lines "Why th would you kick in the knife deep, knowingly killing her?!" rather than "Hell yeah!".

Ya never really know but looks like Miranda Frost probably is physically strong 💪 enough/physically tough 😤 enough of a fighter/lover/female villain 2 survive/withstand being hit in the chest by more than 13 .380 ACP rounds (bullets) from Jinx Johnson's Beretta Cheetah right 2 the point instead of stabbing her in the chest in the North Korean Military Transport Plane scene as Johnson's clearly/obviously going 2 shoot her multiple/several times in the chest with Beretta Cheetah Miranda Frost without Bulletproof/Bullet Resistant Armor Vest in a way is like you'll never have enough bullets 2 kill me Miss Johnson/I'm far 2 strong 💪/tough 😤 4 your Beretta's bullets Miss Johnson no matter how many/much of them ya empty in2 my chest where Johnson shoots her multiple/several times in the chest Miranda Frost cackles like a hyena & continues cackling after/when getting hit in the chest by every round/more than every round from Johnson's Beretta Cheetah hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!

Horrendous CGI, but the opening capture is one of the best bond story elements there's been. It's a very poor film sadly.

Brosnan was fine in the “romantic” scenes, but the guy never come off as a super spy. He was like a horny cartoon character with one liners. They never really went for true realism with Pierce.

I can definitely see that. he borderlines on Roger Moore territory sometimes with corny one liners. That being said he probably 'looks' the part of a suave spy the most.

Terrible Bond movie. They tease the idea of Bond getting captured and suffering from PTSD and instead of actually using that in an interesting way throughout the movie, it gets practically forgotten after a shave and a haircut after Bond escapes what’s supposed to be a secure MI6 ship by inducing cardiac arrest. Thankfully, Casino Royale was right after this dumpster fire. A 1/5 from me.

Yeah really wish they explored the torture/ptsd path rather than where they actually went

Now that I've been inundated with your utter smarminess in this review, I'm convinced you're capable of ruining any movie you comment on in order to make yourselves laugh. Clearly I wasn't amused by your antics. IMHO you should try injecting just a little sophistication and actual humor into your reactions to broaden your appeal to an adult audience.

First movie reviews I can’t stand to watch way too much chatting way too much critiquing and everything is a joke. It’s like they try to be over the top and it just ruins the movie.
