I think the problem with this is that they were playing to the exact group of people (or the majority of them) that they are against and that put them in the place they were in before...I mean, people who are narrow minded to other outlets of music/kinds of music and media than the 'norm' or mainstream.
I'd say a pretty good effort at combining two great styles of music!! (Even though the mic's shite and YoLandi is hanging in the air for almost the entire time, BOO) But the mix of the traditional and the extremely unconventional is refreshing.
Yo-Landi's mic was far too low and she should have landed after the first verse, bah. I love how after the censorship they had to go through, Yo-Landi touches down wearing her "Fok fok fok fok fok fok" decorated hoodie :)
BS. You aren't aware that there is always a sound check with the band to check levels and such on these types of performances, did you? They both suck live.....deal with it.
gaffawebber I think everyone is aware of sound checks, that doesn't change the fact that her mic was quiet. As for "Suck", that's just subjective opinion and unworthy of comment.... Deal with it.
+TheBunniMonster - if you sound like the lower third ranking contestants of a middle school talent contest then you suck. Especially if you're supposed to be a professional musician. Let's face it..Vanilla Ice and Iggy Azalea would wipe the floor with both of these slags in a talent contest and that's just pathetic.
I love die antwoord and watching this makes me love them even more because they can actually get on a stage and sing unlike all these other new fucking singers they lip sing or use there soundboard to make them sound good!!
@cc10121492 I did :-) I had never met them before nor had i (shameless of me i know) heard their music before. They both Yolandi and Ninja; are UBBER cool people, they were very accommodating and a pleasure to work with!!!
As fast as I put on Facebook my thoughts about this Performance - The quicker they remove them. Well done SAMA FACEBOOK ADMINISTRATORS. Censorship is alive and well in S.A.
Oh hell no. I can't believe that somehow somebody managed to get an orchestra of "TALENTED"musicians to perform for this. I hope they were all paid double time
