In the holes and trenches immediately in front of the enemy, despite the esprit de corps and will to fight of our troops, the enemy attacks again and again. The will to resist of individual fighters, squad and platoon commanders determines the fate of an entire section (of front). Here a company commander rewards the special achievement of a squad commander with the Iron Cross First Class. The face of the German soldier has become hard. At a hot spot in the fight a Stuka unit of the Luftwaffe attacks Soviet breakthrough attempts in the area of Nevel. Hits are scored on enemy positions. In the same place an important height is taken by storm. Artillery fire prepares the attack. Assault guns, tanks and grenadiers are at the ready. The grenadiers attack under the covering fire of heavy weapons. The enemy's elevated positions are reached. Surviving Bolshevists are taken prisoner. Wenn man ein falsches Alter angegeben hat kam man auch mit 16 in die Armee so wie im 1Wk.

Zu der Zeit dürften die jüngsten 17 oder eher 18 gewesen sein.Aber auch gegen Ende mindestens 16. Das am Ende noch 12-13 jährige in die Wehrmacht kamen ist Unsinn und eine unwahre Legende.Ein damals 16jähriger war heutigen 16 jährigen bei der körperlichen Entwicklung im Schnitt so 2-3 Jahre zurück.Grund ist die heute weit fett und zuckerreichere Ernährung. Normalerweise hätte die Musterung körperlich deutlich zurückgebliebene 16 jährige für 1 oder gleich 2 Jahre zurückgestellt. Das hat man aber nicht mehr eng gesehn am Ende.So ist die Legende entstanden es wären am Ende noch 12-14 jährige eingezogen worden .In Wahrheit waren die alle mindestens 16 bei der Wehrmacht.16-17 als Mindesalter war in allen Armeen normal.
