"Die Entführung aus dem Serail" ("The Abduction from the Seraglio") is an opera in three acts by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, with a German libretto by Gottlieb Stephanie. The libretto is based on the play "Belmont und Constanze" by Christoph Friedrich Bretzner. It was first performed at the Burgtheater in Vienna on 16th July, 1782, with the composer conducting.
