I feel like if he had been able to keep up his speed this time, he probably would’ve gotten like a 15, or at least a sub 17 second run. Also, he’s who I’m rooting for because that’s the only one that I have one of.

Agree. That last corner seems way out of place for rally and scrubs a lot of speed off the cars.

It appears that the second jump is really taking the speed off the cars; lose that and the cars probably would have enough umph to hit that 270 turn.

If maybe put the jump at the end of the 2nd curve and not to the middle to add little time to accelerate the racer to the loop.

I was wondering similarly... if the cars are not going fast enough, perhaps they could lower the angle of one of the long downward bits just to get more speed for the last part of the track and maybe start the cars a few inches higher. I worry that if cars collide there will be a lot of DNFs. If changes are made it could be after the qualifying. Anyway, let's see, maybe it makes it more tense in the end.

I agree. Needs more energy. This was an underwhelming slow burn. I don't even think it'll be fixed by having more drivers on the track.

Hate to pile on but I agree. The track looks great but there are some problems with it.

The concept is great, but it does lack excitement in its performance! Did they have any trial runs before they let the qualifying races start? If so, how did they not try to correct things like the corkscrew turn which seems to defy gravity and slow the cars down?!?!? The other little jumps are okay if everything else let the cars maintain speed.

Too bad too quick can really screw you on the 2nd jump if it didn't screw you on the first.

When they slowed, the distance to accelerate again is too short for a 270 turn.

What really slows them down, at least that's my opinion, is the 270-degree turn, it is too close to the finish line :/

Tt was only one race. Have some faith in jimmy. He just go to hot off the start and didnt stick a nice landing. Give him time to show you how fun that track can be my guy!

@@jameshughes131 It makes the cars so much slower than the last track. I know what this guy means cause I feel the same way.. I just couldn't explain it like him lol. Then again it might be better with 2 cars on the track at the same time in terms of excitement.

@@jameshughes131 he man sorry gotta drag you down to reality.. cars won't improve cause it's a toy. It's gonna show the same performance everytime. The track feels too long and the second jump really makes the car go slow. I hope they do some work to the track later on

+1 to this. This track is beautiful, but the tiny jumps & the slow eek-out into the finish makes this less interesting. I'd much rather see one big jump like in the middle of the first track

You might want to see more than just half of the qualifying round before jumping to conclusions. It takes the drivers time to adjust to the new track and build up their confidence.

I think the track looks good, it just doesn't let the cars perform.

two mid jumps sounds good but when watching, it just looks like bad track design with the cars losing control and speed.

The second jump needs to go if have really fast time that jump will mess you up. I want to see them flying down here not limping. Plus if you are really fast and first and wreck if would screw the rest of the pack. I am predicting one race this will happen. Regardless can’t wait for the races. Good luck drivers/victims 😜

And I guess the new track is supposed to simulate what actual rallye races look like with all the bumps and jumps but it really doesn't look that exciting if the cars are just tumbling down the track that slowly.

Cars hug the sides too much slowing them down. This track isn't going to have the speed to do monster air like last track. The small bumps in the track aren't helping.

I'd still like the old track to continue being used and use this as another channel? DRC KOTM ..... why did it have to replace the amazing DRC track

I actually liked the louder sounds a lot, but I agree that the slower track makes it a tad dull

Don't think the sound efx are too loud; I think it is because the effect gives the impression of speed, but the track robs the cars of speed at every turn. So creates a disconnect in your brain because the two things aren't correlating.

I agree. The engine sounds are too loud and a bit off based on car speed. It doesn't match.

That would be a cool real rally track, different surfaces, dirt, gravel, water.... I'm sure the incline would need to be massive though, for all the friction...

@@scottpadrick7811 the thing is, a real rally track would easily mess up the racer's run. Sure, the cars can pass gravel, dirt and water with very great speed but still, the surfaces would destroy the cars fairly easily, ruining the race in the final round

Definitely needs gravel.

The dirt (which was added halfway through last season) looked nice, but it caused some issues for the cars. The hay bales were fun but I've never seen them used that way in actually rally competitions. In fact the way we're using them this year as a barrier on the turns is actually "more rally" than last year. Not enough speed for the jumps? Let's just say we've only seen HALF of the first round. If you go back to the first DRC video last year, no one got any air and only 3 cars finished. There was a big improvement from the first video to the 2nd, and the same is the case here. There's always some tweaks and adjustments to make after you film the first race on a new track. It's just part of the process. And thank you for being a part of it!

Hey 3d. I know the dirt caused issues for some landings, but the whole setup at the end was awesome! It really showed how high and fast these drivers were going. The hay bales made the ends even more exciting. As to the use of the bales now, I’m not looking forward reality here, otherwise I could just watch real rally cars by the boatload on RU-vid. The end is what really made the DRC my favorite race! Not so much this year.

@@philipkern6774 this was just the first half of round 1. Kind of like watching warm ups before a sporting event. There's going to be a lot of action at that finish line.

@@3Dbotmaker Yeah when I first saw the dirt I was hoping it was some sort of silicon prop sand or something that wouldn't get all up into the cars and scratch them or anything, or that you used some sort of spray adhesive to fix it to the track so it wouldn't hurt the cars.
