DieHard 1150 Portable AC Power Source supplies 110 Volts at 400 watts continuous power. Power your music instrument rig, or even your entire band for awesome outdoor gigs!
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU. For a few years I’ve been using a Roland Street Cube Ex. Seems I was always fighting to get a decent tone on my guitars covering a wide range of genres. Someone gave me a new Roland KC150 keyboard amp and I plugged everything in. The quality of overall tone jumped 600%. But, it’s powered by AC. For long time I looked at other busking setups on YT using large batteries and inverters. Then I saw this video….I just got the Diehard today, just tested it and I’m in Heaven. Can’t wait to hit the street using the KC! You sold me on the Street Cube. And it’s a great amp if you don’t use any outboard efx. But I need more control over reverbs, delay, OD and on and on. I’ll use it as a PA for vocals as it’s great for that.
Thanks for the tip. I immediately went to my local Ace Hardware and bought one. I’m a keyboard player, too, and had at least three gigs this summer where I needed this. Jackery and other brands cost about a dollar a watt. I’m hopeful this will be a great solution.
I got a Roland Street Cube Ex to busk with. But Ican’t stand tye sound using guitars in it. Someone gave me a almost new Roland KC150 keyboard amp. I’ve never used it and was thinking about selling it. Then I got a gig and wondered n the KC150 would sound. It was day and night difference.I started having fun again. I have been struggling the the Street for a couple of years trying to get a decent sound. It sounded like cardboard and there was just too much high freq harshness. In five minutes using the KC150 I got a very decent sound. I’ll use the KC plugged in for gigs but now I want to use it for busking. I’ve looked at dozens of inverters and different batteries…..and this seems to be the easiest, best cost value! I’m going to look the Amazon link …….great video!
Would love to hook up a 400 watt subwoofer to the Diehard and blast away my family with pounding bass:) You said that you powered that speaker for 4 hours, which is awesome. The fact you still had some power left over after that means this thing must have a very big battery. the watt-hours of that battery would have to be at or around 400 watt-hours if I calculate how you got 4 hours out of a 90-watt speaker and still had some power leftover. You also said in a comment that this DieHard device is heavy, so that would have to explain why! Not to mention it has a 400 watt (continuous power) inverter which is quite a bit. Believe it or not, I've even started seeing a few power banks with AC outlets that can go up to something like 1300 watts! That's crazy! you could possibly power a microwave oven with that much power!
Great find, Chuck. That unit uses a sealed lead-acid battery that should last for years. If you should need it though, BatteryGuy.com has a replacement battery for $26.
Finally, someone who can answer my questions about this topic, I see more and more musicians desiring to play remotely, you would think Guitar Center, B and H Photo, Sweetwater, or even Kraft would have options and information, NOTHING! I just need to power my wife's Nord 4, the sticker on the back reads 115V- 25W 50/60Hz, How long?
There's no straight-forward answer, but 25W from the Nord Piano 4 is drawing only 1/16th of what this provides. If she's using headphones, I'd say at least 8 or 12 hours and probably more. If you're using a PA or amplifier w/ speakers, maybe 4 hours (at least - depending on amp power, volume levels and a million other variables).
@@PianoManChuck We are using 2 Bose S1 Pros which have their own battery power. So we will be all good now Thank you for this video, YOU ARE THE MAN!!!
hey PianoManChuck, this looks good. Did you hear any humming or buzzing sound in the PA Speaker? Also, how do you charge it and how long does it take to charge. Do we need to get a cable or something to charge it at home. Sorry had a few too many questions hahaha! I would appreciate a response. Thanks
Hi Chuck. Thoroughly enjoying your reviews. I hope you can answer my question: Could this unit (or something similar) power the K8.2 as well, or would the power draw be too high? Regret not paying attention in physics class and would appreciate your help. Thanks :)
Thank you for pointing that out. Looks like Amazon no longer has the 71688 model and have replaced it with the 71687 model instead - that's bad since 71687 does not provide AC power. I've removed the link. Search Google for "Diehard 71688".
Ty so much been looking for this video for ages I have a cp8 want to buy a generator like that how long does it last with the MP3 with your cp12 I imagine the cp8 could last longer???
I have read on the Nord Forums that an 8" speaker is recommended more for keyboards than a 10 or 12 inch speaker. Wondering if the QSC CP8 would be better for Nord ap sound? The guy on the Nord Forums goes be Cyphollis/also Chuck. Is that you?
Still using it!!! Rewatch the first 3 seconds for model info. Link goes directly to the proper product for me... The only thing different about this model today is the price - its gone up drastically, just like everything else.
@@RA-el6zj I just clicked on the link ( amzn.to/2EM7EMU ) and its showing "in stock". If you're still having problems then do a search for the product on Amazon.
@@PianoManChuck That's strange. I get "currently unavailable" and "we don't know when it will be back in stock" clicking on exactly the same link! Maybe it has to do with location? I live in Holland.
Ah yes, location makes all the difference. This is a USA link for Amazon! Try doing a search for "DieHard AC Power Supply" on Amazon, or on Google. You may have to order from somewhere outside of your country.
I think you may have it backwards... operating a motor vehicle could impair your song performance abilities... and audiences typically don't have accuracy forgiveness.
