When I upload a "Best tanks" list video, it's usually followed by a "worst tanks" list video. This is no exception. In this video I'll be ranking the five worst tanks in Diep.io from best to worst. This list was made in collaboration with JB Colombia, arguably the best Diep.io player out there with numerous world records. Unlike almost all other lists, this one is well-thought and made by people with a lot of knowledge on the game & the meta, and is more than just a low-effort slideshow.

Love the ideas; the buffs are almost exactly the same as what I would have come up with (which shows good engineering on my part :P) except for the auto-smasher idea which is really original and great. Hope the diep developer(s) implement some of this! Keep up the good work! BTW, what buff would you suggest for Necromancer? Should it automatically spawn squares (slowly, of course)?

I dunno, that wouldn't really help with its crowd control. I personally think that the real reason trappers have serious trouble is not their short range, but simply bullet recoil. Yes, bullet recoil. Have you ever noticed how, when an enemy bullet or tank hits a trap, the trap is pushed quite a bit? It's not that much of a problem with regular trappers, since they have so many traps, but with mega trapper, it's absolutely ridiculous. A sniper bullet will send multiple mega-traps careening across the board. Mega trapper is useless against most other tanks, simply because the enemy bullets sweep the traps out of the way, making it impossible for the mega trapper to get a hit. Make traps more heavy! BTW, my personal idea for auto-smasher was to give it 3 auto-turrets instead of one.

JB Colombia Ive been a necromancer main for a very long time, a buff for it would not give it reload but 1.) Higher square density when the necromancer is around. This means that when playing necro, squares will spawn much more frequently in the areas you go in with the square density being very high when you are low. 2.) Give it complete dmg resistance to squares as well as having it not bump into a square but rather go straight through it when it collects it. This would make harvesting drones much easier.

Exactly. Auto-smasher has less BD than landmine or spike, so it should be made so that it can move a bit faster.

5:09 you may already know but Overtrapper first came out it had like 6 drones but they were removed because they were more powerful than regular drones (like Hybrid drones)

This is late, but I disagree with the claim on trappers. The whole point of trappers is to defend teammates and dominators. I’ve tried surviving alone as a trapper and it went horribly, but when I played as a mega trapper and teamed up with someone level 45 (in team deathmatch, of course (I’m on mobile)) there were moments when we were being attacked by two Pentashots and a triplet and even they didn’t outpenetrate the traps. No means on being aggressive, but, in my opinion, and after a lot of testing, I think trappers are very weak by themselves, but extremely powerful when teamed with someone level 45.

Although I don't disagree with your point of view, but skimmer actually can rek fighter and other classes like bullet booster, and auto smasher's only advantage is the auto cannon, because it can sense tanks out of the smasher's view, you can easily predict where your enemy is, then you can give a surprise attack.

Shyguymask, I agree about how trappers are bad at offense, but as far as defense goes, I think it should be a little bit higher on the star count. The best strategy for non-range trappers is to make a "base". If you focus on 1 spot, this creates a highly concentrated area of traps which can defend from pretty much anything. If you just duck into it when you are in danger, you'll likely be fine. Most people don't use this strategy, and it usually only works in maze or TDM, but it still is a reason to boost the defense up a little bit. Mega trapper is still a problem though. Star scoring for that should stay the same.

The necromancer was just in the wrong place, at the wrong time. The necro was either bad with the class, or just unlucky. Maybe he/she got attacked before SGM came along. That necro could've easily killed the auto smasher if it was a 1v1.

I want to tell a story. So, one time I was playing 4 teams. Some random guy who was a tri-trapper was c+eing in the middle, creating a shield. A ton of other tanks on our team came over and we started dominating for around an hour. We finally got defeated, and THIS GUY WENT RIGHT BACK AT IT LOL. So this proves that even though it's not that fun, it's still a pretty good camper is used right and you have enough patience.

The Overtrapper should get 4-6 drones and a bigger detection range, than it could be a decent tank to push people into maze dead ends and get kills. I have used the Overtrapper pretty much, and its drone-number and range are its biggest flaw.

I'm a trapper main. Because if you get stats like Bullet Damage, Penetration, Speed and Reload with four HP and one regeneration you're really fucking unstoppable. When I go to Gamemodes like Domination trapper helps my team a lot.

In my opinion (I read all comments about necro) Necromancer and Overlord stay together in the leaderboard. Both can destroy any tank. The only difference is that the Necromancer can not independently reproduce drones like Overlord, so some tanks (such as Spreadshot or Pentashot) he can not destroy.

battleship deals well with ram booster but dies to ram annih. bc battleship is good at dealing constant dmg at a constantly moving tank. battleship can also counter some destroyer tanks sometimes

i slightly disagree with the skimmer. i do belive that it should be on this list however i think that the survival should be a bit higher. although its range sucks, that increases reload. because of this, it is more possible to block bullets.

The Smasher classes are meant for modes where you can be safe in your spawn. That's the gamemode that they're made for and that's the mode they are godly in. If you're a noob to you the class is garbage but a pro like me is very very good at using it. A Smasher Spike class with less speed and more Regen and max damage/health combined with triplet or a tank with lots of bullets is practically immortal it's called Shield combo. Auto Smasher and Battleship are obviously the most shittiest tanks in the game. Every other class is almost completely Fair except Dragon Smashers those are overpowered.

i agree about mostly skimmar, battleship (sometimes), not the necro (not part of this lol) auto smasher, overtrapper, i like landmine (most of the time or lets say half and half of the time lol)you da best both jband you mostly you lol)

Trappers are mostly useful in TDM, cuz it builds a wall for teammate to heal, defend and shot with a good protection. But when a trapper is alone...it's a piece of trash ._. (except when they are in good hands ._.)

Here's my thoughts: Battleship - I can agree with this one. The drones are so weak and have a very short lifespan. Skimmer - It seems like it's just a destroyer but it sprays extra bullets everywhere. I don't really see this as a bad thing but it isn't a good thing either Landmine - Idk if it's just me but I find this to be pretty powerful. It's definitely not as good as spike but all rammers can be extremely powerful Trappers - I highly disagree with this one. HIGHLY. Trappers can block bullet spam, Overtrapper drones will keep enemy tanks at a fair range, Mega traps have such a long lifespan that you can have 20-30 mega traps on the battlefield at once, enough to stop a destroyer or annihilator dead, Tri-trapper is one of the best defense classes imo, I killed a Fighter using it without any problems. If the trapper is good enough and smart enough to stick with the teammates, Tri-trapper can be one of the best. I would say trappers' main weaknesses are rammers and destroyer/annihilators, as those bullets are powerful enough to plow through normal traps. Auto-smasher - This thing is an absolute joke. Smashers have no bullet stats so the auto-gun will do basically nothing against enemy tanks. Completely useless, but when comparing auto-smasher to other tanks, I'd say it isn't the worst, it just isn't any better than Smasher, if not worse since the speed lowers with higher level iirc.

he main reason he put landmine low because its outclassed by stalker it takes 13 seconds to go invis while in stalker it takes like 2

1:34 what about my nightmare, sea serpent? :/ I once decided to "hunt" a sea serpent fighter with battleship. I got him to 1/6th of his health, but that was me trying as hard as I can, so unless a sea serpent attacked me with non-full health or they are a fighter noob *cough cough* me *cough cough*, or if they use booster instead which will allow me to deal more damage, sea serpent is basically the death of me. In comparison snipers and cancershots and rammers are not as scary as they can still be killed if you are smart. I tried my best moves against that 500k sea serpent and still couldn't kill him. (mind you i forced him to be cautious enough that i may have been able to escape to base as it was in tdm, but i rarely get to fight a sea serpent in a real game situation so i decided to pick the fight with him even knowing I would likely die.
