My Opinion On EVERY Plant In Plants Vs. Zombies (Part 2 Tier F-C) F Tier Cactus - Cactus is just really bad, its purpose is to pop balloons from balloon zombies, and it doesn't even do a good job, many other plants can easily take care of balloon zombies like blover and cattail. Chomper - What makes Chomper really bad, is it time to chew, it takes 42 seconds to swallow a zombie, it's not even good if you spam it, and in that time, I could've planted much better plants to kill a zombie, Chomper isn't the go-to. Gold Magnet - The Gold Magnet is used to pick up coins.......... I can pick them up myself, all I need to say, and if I do miss a coin, it's only $10 or $50. Plantern - Plantern has only 1 world to even be useful in, that's Fog, and I don't even use Plantern. The only time I used Plantern, was testing. Plus, there's really no use to not seeing half of the yard, just plant everything in the left half, and you'll be fine. Pretty much noboby uses Plantern. Marigold - Again, this has no use, almost nobody grinds for coins, and if people want to grind, they can just go in Zen Garden, so planting Marigolds have no use, nobody even uses them once. Sea-Shroom - While Sea-Shroom might be free, it's recharge is very slow. You might be better off of, Lily Pad and Puff-Shroom, and also again, you can only use this in Fog levels, and the only time I've used this is testing, after that I figured out how bad it was. D Tier Grave Buster - Yes, this is used to remove graves and that's it, that's the only purpose, and yes, you do need to remove graves, but ONLY IN NIGHT LEVELS. Oh, they give you coins, but yet again, Zen Garden gives much more. The only times, it's useful is when you have to plant something on a square that has a grave, and when there's to much graves and too close to your defence. Peashooter - Ah yes, Peashooter, the mascot of the game, the plant the started it all. Even though it's got clout for being the mascot, it's not very good, but it is pretty useful in early Day levels, and early Pool levels, in some occasions, the night levels, but they are ruled by Puff-Shrooms anyway, then you get carried away with Squash, Three-peater, Tangle kelp, and Jalapeño. Spikeweed - Pretty useful for, dealing with Catapult Zombies, Zombonis, and any other zombie that walks because Spikeweed pokes feet. However if we are talking about other plants it can go with, then it would be C Tier because of it's workability with Wall-Nut and Tall-Nut because of the stalling damage. Split Pea - Spilt Pea is basically a Peashooter again, but he's got a Reapeater on it's back, although this isn't the only plant to deal with Digger Zombies, it's still not the ideal go-to if you want to take out Digger Zombies quickly, also, even one Split Pea can't protect a plant before it gets eaten. Other plants like Cattail, Magnet-Shrooms, and Starfruit can easily take out Digger Zombies, If you plant multiple. Hypno-Shroom - Hypno-Shroom is only useful if you have to deal with a really tough zombie, especially Football Zombies, and even though they go back and eat their friends, it's only useful at like a huge wave and you hypnotize the very front zombie, it will do lots of damage. C Tier Scaredy-Shroom - Basically, a Peashooter, however when it gets to a 1 block-range, Scaredy-Shroom huddles in the ground, so just a Peashooter with one less block to work with, pretty cheap considering what it can do though, also it acts as a pretty good defence in Night levels and Fog levels, being part of the Puff-Shroom, Fume-Shroom, and Scaredy-Shroom trio I use. For more description, just read the Peashooter text. (If you want) Blover - Blover yet again is only useful in fog levels, what is different about Blover is that, it also gets rid of the fog too along with the Balloon Zombies, and the fog comes back after just a minute or two, honestly when a plant has two purposes it makes it better, that's why I think Blover is a better and effective way to get rid of fog. Flower Pot - I honestly can't say much about Flower Pot, but all you can do is plant plants on it on the roof, and it makes Roof a lot easier. Lily Pad - I honestly can't say much about Lily Pad as well as Flower Pot, but all you can do is plant plants on it in the pool, and makes Pool a lot easier. Fume-Shroom - Fume-Shroom is pretty useful in Night and Fog levels because it is a pretty strong defense you can plant, and I planted it in every Night and Fog level aside with Scaredy-Shroom and Puff-Shroom, pretty strong trio. It's also the lower grade of Gloom-Shroom, which we can all agree is one of our favorites. Garlic - Although Garlic is trash on its own, like it does nothing, but with Gloom-Shrooms it's one of if not the best techniques in the game, the "Gloom-Walk", in case you don't know what a "Gloom-Walk" is I'm pretty sure you've heard of this before, it's where you plant Gloom-Shrooms behind Garlic diverting the zombies in a lane in which the Gloom-Shroom can attack (like ShyGuyMask states in the video). Wall-Nut - Wall-Nut, the Tall-Nut's little brother (if you didn't know) is a stalling plant, although it's not the best stalling plant, it's the best stalling plant until you get, Tall-Nut and Pumpkin. It's pretty useful in Day levels, night levels (if you want), and early Pool levels. Twin Sunflower - Twin Sunflower is a upgraded plant of Sunflower, and in case you were wondering, why isn't the normal Sunflower lower then? Oh it's because it's the 2nd mascot of the game behind Peashooter, also because Twins Sunflowers are an upgraded plant that takes lots of time to recharge, and you get it a lot sooner. Twin Sunflowers' only good use is in Survival: Endless, but if you want tons of sun, it's better it get 3 rows of Sunflowers if you want like Threepeaters, Melon-pults, of Cob Cannons Umbrella Leaf - The Umbrella Leaf, yet again is pretty useful in Survival: Endless because the zombies send Catapult Zombies and Bungee Zombies like they're causing mayhem. They're pretty useful in Roof levels too because that is the world were Catapult Zombies and Bungee Zombies come from. Sun-Shroom - Just a little Sunflower that can only be planted in Night and Fog levels, to be honest, they are a great night level Sunflower, but I actually go for the normal Sunflower, the only reason being that I don't want to wait that long for the Sun-Shroom to grow up generate normal 25 sun points, instead of 15 sun points. Tangle Kelp - This is basically a Sqaush that is underwater, the only flaw this has against an literal Aquatic Squash is that it can only take down one zombie, where as the Sqaush can smush 1 or more zombies, depending if they are close enough so that they are on the same square. They do really well against Dolphin Zombies and Snorkel Zombies. But the recharge is also bad. Cabbage-Pult - This is a Peashooter, with a very slight difference, the attack-speed is 2 twice as slow as Peashooter, however the damage per cabbage is twice as much as the Peashooter, but that's not all, it can also be planted anywhere in Roof, even though Peashooters are never used in Roof levels, I take/consider every factor into place, and I think about every one. ⛏⚒🪓🚧 Under Construction ⛏⚒🪓🚧
I love using garlic and star fruit because the only reason I find seeing stars mini game easy Is because of them, use garlic to send zombies away from the star fruits near the front and star fruit is so broken when spammed!
I agree with Rotwick and Pandaeonium but i disagree with all the other lvls. Hardest lvls for me (random order) (for completing all stages, impossible 3 stars, iron and heroic all with first playthrough). 1) Pandaemonium 2) Rotwick 3) Ancient Necropolis (Probably the hardest for me) 4) Fungal Forest (this might be the second hardest) 5) Nightfan Swale 6) Ha'Kraj Plateau (can't remember that good but i know i had some struggles) Temple of Saqra was also difficult with the Indiana Jones achievement failing, without the achievement it was pretty ok. Grand area was the most sweaty map since Malik perma destroys towers. Verdict Kingdom Rush was the hardest to beat and had much struggles with the fungus and the spooky maps.
Tactical thievery to unlock the next level is not a strategy I was expecting to be required, but nice. And I can already see that with sprayers being your main ground unit, abusing the ability to stockpile extra reserves of anticreeper in sprayers being important for a lot of levels. Funny enough I found myself frequently using a variant of that tactic in CW4, since in that one sprayers unload all of their stored anticreeper at once when destroyed, so building up a massive stockpile of suicide drones to drown part of the level in AC is a viable way to start an offensive.
Sure, without hacks or a good amount of cash or something like that in PvZ2, Gloomwalk is nearly impossible to get without spending obscene amounts of time unlocking the game's equivalent to Gloom-Shroom... which, like its supporting plant Garlic, has also been nerfed quite a bit. I mean, in PvZ1 it took a surprising amount of time for the zombies to actually get through all of Garlic's health, but in PvZ2 it takes nearly no time at all before you're replanting it again. Especially horrid against all of the specialty zombies of the game, such as those that can completely skip the first few columns like Swashbuckler and its Lost City equivalent, still useless against Gargantuars, screwed against Barrel Zombies, screwed against the Excavator Zombies with the damned shovels... need I go on? Gloom-Vine (the original G-S' replacement) can at least be combined with other plants in the same spot due to partially functioning like a lower-health Pumpkin, but it shines when combined with Shadow plants that get powered up by it. But still - a Gloomwalk with the Glooms planted directly on top of Starfruit? Oh man, that is completely overpowered.
