@autoluxeindia & @sunderdeep singh thank you for great content 😊 I have 1.6 TDI HL 2013 and started using Addon D by your advice and seeing your 3.5 lac km run vento. Before I was using liqui moly &Abro every six month’s. Now I use Addon D on each fuel fill.
Sunderdeep Ji and Munish Ji. A great video again! I have been owning the 1.6 TDI for the past 5 years now and it has done 1.60 lakh kilometers (Got pre owned). 1. FUEL FILTER: Post Covid my running got reduced significantly. Merely 5000-6000 kms per year opposed to what 15000 kms per year what the company recommends. Even then I made sure that the fuel filter is changed by sourcing the OEM filter from boodmo. I did the complete service as well. Also, I guess Munish Ji forgot to mention about the fuel additives. 2. ADDITIVES: I would like to safely say that there is no harm in putting fuel additives in your diesel tank. This will surely extend the life of the injectors. You can use branded companies like Liqui Moly, Addon D from IOCL, IFTEX System D from BPCL pumps. I have not tried ABRO hence cannot comment. (I have tried an injector cleaner from VW as well. But it costs a thousand bucks but it is worth it too). The engine behaves completely different when on additives and when not on additives. 3. IDLING: Also, I would like to add that you should atleast let the car idle for about 2 minutes in summers and 4 minutes in northern winters be it any diesel car(in the condition where the engine is cold i.e mornings). This has had a great effect on the life of my injectors. The injectors get enough time to get to their optimum in this time span. 4. FUEL LEVEL: Also, be it any car avoid keeping the fuel lesser than 1/4th of the minimum. Reason already mentioned by Munish Ji in the video. Get more videos coming both of you. Insightful session! :) - Gaurav
Thanku gaurav ji 😊 Actually i hv mentioned about use of fuel additives in these TDi’s in many of my videos with sunderdeep ji already. Nd yes these additives help
Great points! I own Vento 1.5 TDI and concur with every point you made. Regarding fuel additives, I use Liqui Moly diesel purge after changing the fuel filter every 10k and Amsoil diesel injector cleaner every 4000kms to maintain cleanliness and to lubricate the fuel system. Do also consider using Amsoil Cetane Booster (2-3 ounces every tankful). Enhanced fuel combustion results in the infamous diesel clatter going away and engine responsiveness increases big time! Idling is also very important especially before switching on the AC compressor.
@@xuxuonexHello sir i own a polo 1.2 TDI 2011 make bought brand new then , now it has clocked 165000kms with vw authorised service records. Should i use Diesel Purge if yes then how, direct in fuel rail intake or mix in tank ?
@@AS-pu7gjfirst change diesel filter, then add purge to full tank of diesel while refilling and let it run until tank is close to empty. When you refuel after this, you will notice a difference in NVH. Please don’t add purge or any injector cleaners with an old diesel filter as it will get clogged fast and create more issues.
Fully agree with Mr Munish’s golden tip to keep the fuel level above 1/4th, it was a tip given by my dad long ago when I bought my first car way back. I personally try to keep fuel level above 1/3rd all the time. Regarding fuel I’ve tried all the diesels in Indian market ranging from IOCs old XtraMile to HPs turbojet, Reliance and Shell V-Power and of all I’ve found Shell V-Power to be the best performing and the difference is somehow more evident in my i20 (BS4 Diesel) than Tucson which happily accepts all kinds of diesel, maybe due to the fact that the former which is tuned to run on lubricating high sulfur diesel as compared to Tucson which is BS6 and tuned to run on low sulfur diesels too therefore on filling V-Power it compensates for the lubrication plus it has additives which help in cleaning the carbon deposits around injectors(like limescale remover used on shower heads). Personally for last 2-3years I’ve been sticking to Shell V Power even though it costs a cool 135Rs/liter in MH. My second resort is Reliance which too uses additives and it shows my i20 which has clocked 2L+ kilometres in 13years and Tucson which just completed 2years and 46k kilometers(co-incidentally today is my Tucsons’ 2nd birthday 😊) and my cars don’t have any serious issues related to engine damage. Thank you!
Sir , i have 11 year old Polo 1.2 TDI. So far i havent faced any problem and have driven 600km at stretched ad got mileage of 24KMPL. . Simple tips 1) Service it at only authorised service center 2) Use only GENUINE parts , no replacements 3) Use diesel prefereably from COCO outlets. 4) if you can afford go for Shell V power diesel else As munishji said IOC Extragreen is good. Thanks SunderJI and Munish Ji for insightful and technical videos in simple manner for layman to understand . Yours is like Jai Veeru ki Jodi 😀
Hello Sunderdeepji and Munishji. Thanks for such an insightful video. I own a Polo TDI 1.2 since 2014. I have faced this injector issue twice so far and had to pay 25k for each injector. I am in constant worry when the next two injectors will fail. The VW service centre never offered an option to repair the injectors. For a long time I was filling the fuel from the nearest HP pump, ever since two injectors failed, I started filling from Shell, though it's expensive and the pump is far from my place. I have not faced the issue so far. So I guess the clean fuel point which Munishji raised is definitely working in my favour. Now I will find the nearest Bosch servicing centre to get all my injectors checked and repaired. This video has possibly saved me at least 25k. I am loving this podcast style videos. Hope the channel produces more quality content and gets more subscribers. 🙏
Halo Gentle Mens, worthful time definetly. as munish ji said i faced the issues on 2013 tdi vento, faced issue with one injector, after an drive of 35 km only again i had an issue with other one, as well vw agency telling another 2 seesm weak. so i changed totally all the 4 injectors in vw pondicherry KUN . it makes me in huge impact. this was happened 2 years before. now as Munish ji adiced i am using Add on D addetives as well rarely, not regularly. so far everything is going cool.
Thanks for the discussion on this topic. I have 2014 Skoda Rapid 1.6 TDI with 1.5 lakh on odo. My injector failed twice when I have fueled on the same fuel pump. First time I thought it was a genuine issue with injector. Second time I was sure it was to do with fuel quality. I replaced with new injector and serviced other injectors. Also, I agree that we need to have the tank cleaned and maintaining adequate amount of fuel in tank. My car still gives Highway average of 21-22 and city of around 15. Plan to use the car for few more year as I just can't part with a great car.
I got fuelled my Vento Diesel car just after unloading the tanker to the petrol pump tank. After that I have big problem of injectors. Now my car is normal, but in scan it showing p0203 in injector 3. Please suggest me what should I do. I belong to Jalandhar.
Hooked to knowing so many things. Great session. I am looking for many more sessions. Can we also discuss about what type of additives to use in diesel cars. Also something about diesel purges
Baiji, beautiful content..appereciate your time and a big thankyou for bringing such info about tdi engines. I own a polo tdi 1.5 2014, done 100k kms so far jzz only thing done is changed brake pads , but plzz i am told to change timing chain as it should be done at 90k but i havent had any engine noise . But i need your valuable suggestion. Again thankyou
Lot of respect for you guys. Just a suggestion, please use a different thumbnail, it gives a bit chapri impression 😢 Both of you are so knowledgeable and deserve much more viewership
Sir 2011 model 1.2 TDI polo driven 1,65,000 kms mein 1.XTRA GREEN DIESEL use kar sakte hai kya ? Kya injectors ke liye safe hai ? 2. Aur Liqui Moly Diesel Purge use karna chahiye ? If yes then how ? 3. Liqui Moly Ceratec use karna chahiye ? 4. Best engine oil kaunsa rahega ?
Hello Sunderdeep and Manish Sir, I had commented this question in the previous video as well, maybe it got missed. So writing it again here:- Manish ji, please the 2nd question is what concerns me the most, and I have found no solution/ preventive measure for that. If not a video can you reply me here in the comments on that issue. A) The 1.0 TSI tested with supercharger was EU Spec and made in some country of EU. But the Indian VW-Skoda cars have 1.0 TSI engines made in India. So, are the internal parts in Made in India engines as strong as the EU counterpart engine? B) I also asked about this earlier, please if possible cover it in the next video - GDI engines have a known issue by design that carbon deposits occur on the inner side of the valves because no fuel is sprayed directly on the valves, unlike normal MPI engines. So there is no fuel sprayed on it to automatically clean the inner side of the valves and because of the gases and unburnt fuel and engine blow-by, these carbon deposits are unavoidable. I learnt about this after watching numerous videos on RU-vid and did an in-depth research about it. The only way to clean these Carbon Deposits would be to open the Intake Manifold and use a Sand Blaster with Walnut Shells inside it and throw them directly on the Valves with a Vaccum Line to suck them back. This equipment according to my research is not available anywhere in India. Can you please share your thoughts on it. C) Recently I visited Skoda Service Centre because the Engine Oil Level in my Kushaq was a bit lower than the Maximum (I had to fill approx 200 ml - After 10K km). I asked for 0w30 engine oil as mentioned in the owners manual of the car, but to my surprise they said 0w20 is what they fill. They also showed me on their Laptop after putting in my VIN Number, it was showing 0w20 there. So my question is when/why did they change the recommended grade of engine oil from 0w30 to 0w20. {I would request Sunder Sir as well to check it in their Slavia Owners Manual about what Grade is recommended there} I would be grateful if these questions are taken up in the next video by Sunder Sir. Thankyou for the wonderful informative videos. Regards
Excellent video explaining the need to take care of injectors... I was actually curious to know on how we can know the condition of the injectors in a 10 - 15 year old VW tdi car which has had no current/previous issues?? Like maybe a reference value check with OBD live data scanning??
Munish Bhai & Sunderdeep ji, Can you mention Bosch diesel workshops in Hyderabad and Bangalore ? Do they repair Continental injectors ? Do they provide piezoelectric sensors in Continental injectors ?
Boss I think you may need to revise your opinion about extra- green diesel in TDI (German) engines. It’s a blend of bio-diesel (low quantity) but Skoda (I own rapid 1.5 ) prohibits use of any blend of bio-diesel. Yes , you are right it may make engine little smoother (as I felt after using extra-green IOC diesel three times. But then I read through the VW engine- fuel recommendations, which say NO to any blend of bio- diesel. I have used many additives (Indian , German and American) - some are very good and all of them show some help in reducing vibrations and diesel clatter noise.
VW owner's manual clearly states diesel must comply with EN 590 Euro standard. On the next page, it mentions biodiesel blend complying with EN 590 standard (which is up to 7% biodiesel-93% diesel blend) is allowed and will not damage the engine or fuel system. Xtragreen Diesel also has 7% biodiesel blend and hence complies with EN 590 standards. So it is safe to use in 1.5 TDi engines.
That's great i always used to keep my fuel level above 1/4 but for the last few months due to some issues i kind of neglected my car for the 1st time ever and now am facing the grunt. I own a Ecosport diesel driven 1.25 L kms and now it is giving black smoke on acceleration above 2500-3000 rpm with instant drop in pickup sometimes when driving on hilly pahadi type terrain or long drives. IT SEEMS IT HAS INJECTORS PROBLEM. I STAY IN GURGAON PLEASE SUGGEST SOMETHING MUNISH JI.
I've polo highline 2017 model clocked 1.35 lakh kms on odometer (eventhogh i used addon d regularly) Today the car shows some injector problem. Please suggest injector repair workshop in bathinda.
Bhaji I owned a polo 2017 model. After getting injection error I came to know in vw workshop that 3 no. Injector is not working. So they checked all and replaced that particular one. It's been 2 years all goes good.
We struggled with our renault scala bcos of Delpi inhector failure. Company said it would charge 26000 but no warranty. Even after replacing it gave problems every 200kms. Finally we had to tradeoff at a much much lower price as selling to someone would cause problems for them also.
I want to buy jetta highline TDI manual gearbox 2016 facelift model, do a vedio about jetta, its maintanence etc, is it right choice to buy used car in 2023?
can you guys pls talk about quality of petrol also, is quality and performance different when you compare NORMAL petrol at HP vs IOL or is it just placebo?
Hello Sir, I own a polo 1.2 tdi 2012 highline model, My car gives humming sound after gaining 40-50 speed and sound reduces after slowing the car, is it noise of tyre, bearing or engine, But I don't think this sound is coming from engine, .plz advise me😊
Sir mera question ye hai ki mene suna or padha h ki diesel engine ka lifespan jyada hota h mtlb wo heavy material k bane hote hai islie wo 3 lakh ya usse jyda km tak bhi chal sakte hai. to sir ye jo petrol tsi engine hai ye kitne longer chal sakte hai. In kilometers or years both. Kyu ki sir mere paas verna thi humne 4 saal m 1.80.000 km p bech di thi abhi fortuner diesel or xuv300 diesel h wo dono 3 saal me 1-1 lakh km chal chuki h to ab me slavia 1.5 lena chahta hu to tsi kitna lamba kilometer tak chal sakta h.
bhai, one more doubt... off topic but still... which manufacturer supplies injector to honda motorcycles and triumph speed 400? Do they use the same injector brand? or different ones?
Paaji and Munish ji can we pls make one video on DSG gearbox best practices. Specially the common/big mistakes need to avoid in a DSG automatic transmission.

I have been filling Diesel from BP (Speed Diesel) from coco outlet! As personally IOCL experience in Delhi wasn't really great. the quality wasn't consistence and same was the case with reliance up until 2019 and since then I have been using BP speed diesel....From your experience which has been a better fuel provider A) BP B) IOCL C) Reliance
Please discuss about E20 fuel as well. How it's going to impact our India 2.0 vehicles/ all existing vehicles not compliant with E20 fuel, their longevity and health of parts.
In your upcoming videos you should also add gagan Chaudhary in the discussion because that man is also makes relevant and required videos as you moreover when you three genius will get together, then knowledge level will go at peak
