The same thing is done by Central Railways by giving Diesel link so 10103 CSMT MAO Mandovi Express & DIVA MAO Sindhudurg Express. These trains were running with WAG-5, and WAG-7 loco due to a shortage of Eloco now they are running with Dloco.

As per I think, Railway should introduce *WAM- 4* Type Locomotive in An Advanced Gear Format and More HP like that of 9000-10000 hp, so that, we can Use them as per our Convenience. we don't need faster locomotives; we need efficient ones which use the most power with the least amount of losses. also, in order to go faster, one also needs to reduce drag which means more or all AC coaches which means higher prices and average Indian isn't willing to pay more as they have become used to travelling cheap (or for free in many cases). already Shubham has made a video where people are complaining that sleeper coaches are being replaced with 3AC economy coaches.

@@gyanishchandraverma3386 true, problem is , general coach and sleeper coach tickets are lower than they ideally should be and the shortfall is recovered from freight nd from high charges of AC tickets. if there are no sleeper or general coaches, the prices of ac coaches will automatically come down as there is no need to subsidise the general ticket prices. but i will be honest, this system of all AC / no general isnt practical to implement in india . people still complain of ticket prices even when the ticket prices of general /sleeper are amongst the lowest in the country.

I feel there should be advancement in lhb coaches, where coaches can self generate their energy, then there would not be a question weather diesal ar electric is the traction, as wdp 4 series can do it's job with a High Efficiency(better traction then p7) and diesals technically pollute lesser then electrics as electrics are powered by coal

Diesel locos ko ethanol me convert karo phir jitna marzi utna use karo Main line, pe branch line pe, siding pe, faltu ka low traffic routes pe electrification ka kharcha bachega, Diesel ka high price aur pollution se bhi chutti mil jayega, Diesel fans ko vahi self propelled bina OHE k chalne vala loco bhi mil jayega Ethanol ko desi sharab k theke se hatao 😂 aur engine me use karo

These are two drastically different fuel types and our locos cannot handle this even with minor modifications. Most diesel locomotives are in fact diesel-electric locomotives. Basically a huge generator on wheels.

Also some years ago the Jatropha shrub was used to make biodiesel especially for railway use. No news on that anymore.

it appears that there is some inter-departmental rivalry between electric and mechanical departments and with the increasing emphasis given to WAP7 and WAP9 locos, the mechanical fellas too want to be seen important and therefore, promoting diesel locos.

I do not totally agree with you here because I have seen so many passenger trains with WAG 5, WAG 7 as well along with WAG 9 if there is a huge scarcity of WAP 7 or rather passenger E locos in the particular Zone. In fact, Railways can give WAP 5, WAP 4 and even WAP 1 locomotives to these trains instead of EMD. Though, this is just my personal opinion as I am feeling so happy being a diesel railfan that few trains in NR, CR and KR are running with diesel locomotives despite the entire section being electrified way back. It makes me feel like the "beginning of a new era" 😊😊😊

At Mumbai Central railway station First karnavati express enters then Double decker enters Then Tejas express enters Now as karnavati leaves with a nem loco The old loco which took it from ahemdabad will go and connect with double decker And as double decker leaves the hauling loco wil go and attach with Tejas express So how can that loco get rest of 10-15 hours Then also some times karnavati gets wap-4 although it has mps of 130 and I know that p4 can run at 130 but the load on that train is more Then also they give p4 Meanwhile wo log dahanu road brc express ko p7 dete Jo abhi ICF hi hain The d

Also one thing remember bro, Indian Railways are electrifying route to run Vande Bharat Express that's all😅😅 ,if you see Konkan region,and Rajasthan state,these routes were fully un-electrified old days,in today's time Vande Bharat Express wouldn't introduce and run (Mumbai Goa and Delhi-Ajmer Vande Bharat Express) if railways don't electrify route 😡. Seriously Indian Railways putting disaster idea to electrify 100%, until when railways increase production of Wap7, railways focus only trainsets,they should know that they will face massively shortage of e-loco,if electrifying all route.

Both CLW and BLW are making WAG-9. And stopped producing or very very few WAP 7s are produced. Bcs railways is focusing on trainsets for Passenger mobility and locomotives only for freight. That's why they are doing so much jugaad instead of producing more WAP 7s.

I think IR should introduce an improved version of WAP 4 for intercity and regional express trains. It'll free up WAP 7 which are unnecessarily engaged and are not suitable for such short hauls.

Agar purey india me electrification ho raha hai to electric locomotive ka production badhana chahiye na, ye locomotive ka shortage ho raha hai ye baat thik nahi lg rahi 😂. Itna late locomotive production start hoga to electrification ka matlab hi kya hua fir, diesel locomotive aise bhi chal hi rahe hai

Nice Explanation... Although I am not agree with you about the new type Loco.. WAP 7 is much more capable to Pull trains with its Max speed, As you can't improve Railway lines overnight , Can't increase the Size of Trains (because of Station length) to WAP-7 is enough for us.. Just need to increase its production.

Koi zarurat nahi WAP7 / WAP5 is enough untill we would have 180kmph+ trains..other these are WAP7 longhaul 700km +/WAP5 medium range 400-600km/ WAP4 (untill all units retired) short range ( Intercity ) 0-400kmph

Shubham , are you sure that IR is producing only WAG9 and are not producing WAP7s anymore? WAP7 are the most used preferred locos for Rajdhani, Shatabdi, Duronto . I was under the impression that IR is making WAG12 due to which more and more existing WAG9s in dual configs are being separated and used for two trains. I agree with someone who has said that maybe diesel locos are being used so that existing fleet remains active and gets used as much as possible. also, 100% electrification isn't possible esp. in remote and corner areas where electric supply may be an issue. in western railway, there are many trains which are used only for few hours per day like Flying Rani, Valsad express which run for 7-8 hours total in 24 hours and spend rest of the time in the yard. in central railways, earlier all Mum Pune trains were the same, they ran 6-7 hours total and then spent rest of the day in the yard. now Indrayani rake runs as Mumbai Pune, then it goes beyond to Solapur as Pune Solapur intercity, comes back to Pune same day and then again returns to Mumbai as Pune Mumbai Indrayani on same evening. (it goes as Mumbai --> Pune --> Solapur --> Pune --> Mumbai in one day, every day, 7 days a week) Mumbai Pune Deccan express rake is interchanged with Mumbai Madgaon express, i.e., if today, one rake goes to Pune and back, while another rake goes to Goa and back, then next day these rakes are interchanged Ie yesterday's Mumbai Pune rake goes to Goa as Mumbai Goa Madgaon express and vice-versa.

The very purpose of electrification by railways was to reduce cost on diesel purchase & reduce pollution. And even till now thousands of trains across India are/were running with a single loco, not to mention many goods trains are running with a single WDG series loco depending on the route i.e. without gradient etc. Even on kokan railway RO-RO service uses single EMD loco.@@SURYA_UDAYAN_24

There is a very simple solution. Set up an EOG using power from overhead AC traction line. What it will require is only a small transformer in the brake van which can convert overhead traction voltage to the necessary hotel voltage (power for lighting and Air conditioning) for the whole train. We can avoid the messy diesel EOG coach in electrified short haul routes where diesel engines are used for traction.

I think bro on that case wap5 should be used because as you know this locomotive is used only on Shatabdi aur gatiman so and the strains have not long route from that case if engine is free so maybe that locomotive is also used I know this locomotives has also less production but still I hope railway understand this part.

मुझे ये समज नहीं आ रहा आमतौर पे सारे yutuber कंटेंट दिखाने से पेहले ही सब्सक्राइब और लाइक करने क्यों बोलते हे ? कोई कंटेंट देखे बिना लाइक क्यों करेगा ? एक तो वीडियो शुरू होते ही 2 -3 advertisment आ जाती हे अभी वीडियो शुरू ही हुवा होता हे की चैनल का logo घूमेगा वो खत्म होते ही ये लोग लाइक करने की रिकवेस्ट मांगना चालू कर देते हे. कंटेंट एक मिनिट का नहीं होता पर पूरा 5 10 मिनिट बर्बाद कर देते हे फिर लाइक क्या dislike करने का मन करता हे . भाई अच्छा कंटेंट दिखावो तो लाइक्स तो अपने आप ही मिलेगी. लोग सर्च करेंगे आपकी चैनल.

It means that the trains will be stopped/halted/speed restrictions will be implemented enroute for a prescribed time and period when works are carried out on the tracks
