This is Part 1 of 3, of changing my fuel filters which ended up turning onto a full fuel delivery diagnostic and troubleshooting.
Some of products mentioned are in this part are:
- Biobor diesel fuel biocide
- K100 Diesel Fuel Treatment, water eliminator
- Seafoam
- Racor Parker diesel fuel filters
Here are the links to all 3 parts of my videos on replacing my diesel fuel filters, which turned into a complete fuel system diagnostic... and replacing the fuel lift pump.
This is an easy DIY maintenance and repair anyone with basic tools and an understanding of how and what to look for.

Hi Marc. Thanks for making this video. In the past my sailboats have been powered by outboards (or canoe paddles), but I've recently bought a boat with a diesel and it's a whole 'nuther world! My marina has a maintenance shop but holey cow they're expensive! Anyway, this and your other maintenance videos are going to save me a fortune. I really appreciate what you're doing!

Really happy you find these helpful. Check out Part 2. Part 3, will show how easy it is to diagnose fuel delivery and replace the fuel lift pump. My engine now runs like new. Lift Pump cost? $50 (us)...
