So disappointed with how this went, however, we must march on. Maybe I should've known that those needed to been Viton not rubber when I installed them? www,wanderingbeast.com #dieselsite #adrenalinehpop #powerstrokenation
I've had a few of those high pressure fittings leak on my 7.3 van on trips as well. Definitely know the feeling. In addition to the o-rings being viton, the fittings need to be properly torqued, which is hard to do given the confined space that ford engineers chose to stuff that damn motor into. I found out the hard way that the torque specs for those hydraulic fittings are super important after the fitting on my crossover line backed off, sprung a leak, and shredded the o ring while going down the highway in the middle of nowhere, Idaho (I installed it with a crows foot and torque wrench, but the last turn was at a strange angle and I ended up not using the torque wrench because it was too long). Like you, I've taken to carrying extra viton o rings and high pressure oil rail fittings in my tool box just in case. Good job on making this video, I feel like people buy these things without realizing how many points of failure a HEUI system has. Especially when they get to be older.
It seems harder and harder to find quality service these days. I know exactly how it feels to spend days and money fixing a problem only to jump into it again because of poor-quality parts. Jason
So I put cnc fab hpop lines and absolutely love them! I did opt for the hpop from cnc as well, for the price of the adrenaline I purchased some extra parts! Appreciate your honesty! 7.3 powerstroke reminds me of an old 6.5s in the chevys, you need a ton of extra parts from that brand incase it takes a dump.
I've always had good luck with Dieselsite. But I have never used their HPOP lines. For those I use cncfab. I do a lot of shopping around from place to place. I have dieselsite, cncfab, riffraff, kcturbo, etc etc parts on my trucks. But I completely understand the anger on those orings. When its you in the freezing cold changing out parts its not a very zen day. FYI off topic, get you some Molykote55 for orings!! (or any rubber type seal). it will swell the rubber ever so slightly after a few heat cycles (and keeps them from ripping on install). I was skeptical but it really does make your rubber seals last longer!
Much respect sir, you are always honest and possess an abundance of integrity. It is just too bad that you have to deal with companies and individuals that don't have these traits. See you on the next one.
It is important to share both the good and not so good, as it represebts true life. Thank you for sharing this. Anything other than that would honestly be misleading.
Great information... thanks for the input. I agree NOT cool that they NEVER once apologized nor tried to make it right. I will NOT be shopping there I can tell you that.
Iam having the same problem with my after market lines leaking. Now I know where to look my hpop just failed and I ordered a Adrenaline pump so I will check loose o rings.
I see that they list a HPOP O-ring set. For $28-. Jennifer claims that they are Viton. Can anyone chime in with experience? What did you end up doing moving forward?!?
I would be so frustrated. It’s not like you just threw something from Amazon on there, you spent good money for a quality product to have reliability and it bit you like it was manufactured in China. I’m doing the CNC lines with my adrenaline, but now I’m going to go through that thing tonight before install as I don’t want to be stranded with my boat behind me somewhere I cannot access parts easily.
