We are happy that we incorporate diet and lifestyle change very strongly in our treatment plan for each patient. We give a lot of time to understand the patient's problems and formulate the best treatment plan for each individual patient.
Diet and lifestyle changes are included in the plan for each patient. Some patients would additionally need medications, while others would be better suited for laparoscopic surgery. Some patients with psychological or functional problems would additionally need some psycho modulation by medications, meditation, breathing, and relaxation exercises.
We are very aggressive in our follow up to ensure that our patients stick to the lifestyle change and hence achieve long-lasting solution to the problem of GERD. Before watching the vedio I want to comment..I'm 20 years old clg going girl and I'm suffering from Acidity, indigestion from last 7-8 months...First I was overweight and now I've became so thin that I can't see myself in front of mirror..I 'm unable to sleep at nights properly.. i m doing exactly what u are saying in the video from last 1 year, i m on medicines after my angioplasty, atorvastatin 20 mg, ticagrelor 90 mg , aspirin 75 mg , concor 5mg , these are the meds i m taking ,my daily exercise is 45 min walk after 1 hour of dinner, i have reduced from 80 kgs to 64 kgs already, everything was perfect and this acid reflux started and i became breathless in the nights while laying down.

Apart from this advise you should consult a doctor and continue treatment as per his advice. Many patients would need treatment along with these changes. Also, cardiac problem may also present in a similar way, so need to be careful. Better consult a doctor soon

also no coffee, sleep incline and on your left side, yoou should also eat slowly to prevent bloating if youre taking ppi, i mean chew slowly. Hope this helps

Didi eat morning Breakfast between 8-10 only 2-3 chappatis with non spicy curry don't add any spice to that tomatoes, onions, or any acid item don't eat that all and give the time of 8 hours gap between that meal means u can eat at evening 4-6 in that time take 1 chappati , sprouts one cup , peanuts 50 , one carrot and beetroot , chia seed one spoon and flax seeds one spoon and after 1 hour of meal drink buttermilk that's it didi it's enough to cure I done the same it was cured completely At starting of this diet makes it hard but follow didi it will definitely cure

My acid reflux was caused by a damaged Les which was caused by vomiting which was caused by a Dr ceasing pain meds improperly and putting me into withdrawal. On the 3rd day I vomited so hard it ruined my Les. Thanks Dr!

@@angelataylor2049 I had surgery 2 weeks ago, but before surgery I had a hard time eating a lot of stuff. If I could eat it was mostly soups, top ramen, and soft boiled vegetables in a broth for flavor. Good luck to you. I hope that you can find some comfort.

I’m just really worried about my throat mainly and not getting very far with investigations etc, very slow. I’m in the UK and covid has slowed everything down, waiting times etc. Im suffering every day, I think I have a hiatal hernia, gettting results today. I totally agree that diet and lifestyle are key. I am fit and healthy, don't drink or smoke and normal weight. I eat 3 healthy meals and snack on fruit/veggies, yogurt & occasionally biscuits. I try not to eat large meals, eat similar foods protein, complex carbs and veg, I have terrible GERD and currently experiencing a flare up and it's stressing me out. I have to be really careful with what I eat and can't eat chocolate, avocados, fizzy pop, fried or fatty foods and I don't eat just before exercising. My stomach is extremely sensitive, can you give me any advice to help me heal my stomach? What options are available to me in the UK? Thanks x

Avoid spicy, oily,greasy ,fried food ,cool drinks ,tea , coffee, ginger garlic etc for some time. Have bland ,spicy less,sour less food for atleast two months with eating healthy fruits , vegetables . Try to add more veggies and fruits.slowly you will see improvement , medicines can't help you much with this condition. But you can try having medicines if doctor has prescribed. If you're an Indian ,then it's quite a challenge because most of our foods are spicy and full of masala.

So we should have only limited fruit and food , we can’t enjoy out food till life time. There’s no cure for GERD .

Ya that’s what they, we will keep on PPI even though while taking ppi also u can’t enjoy food , it’s hell life . No cure for this no medicine for this, if go to gastroenterologist he will prescribePPI and surgeon ask u to go for surgery but surgery also not successful.

With proper treatment, you can be back to normal life and diet. Yes, you will have to cut down on unhealthy dietary practices, but you can have a normal healthy diet. Your past treatment may not be much effective, but that does not mean things will be like this whole your life. I would advise you to again consult a good doctor and you should be fine. Some people may need surgery, if done properly, with thorough evaluation before surgery and followed by proper diet and lifestyle and follow up, results are good. To summarise, you lead a normal life with proper treatment.

Thank you so much for this video. I am suffering from Gerd I constantly have a feeling of a ball stuck with burning sensation that effects my ears. I have been on omperzole 40 mg and famotdine 40 mg and have made diet changes and don't feel different. Can I send you my endosocopy report please i need help with this.
