Coke Zero has improved the formula immensly. I don't taste that weird aftertaste the old one had anymore and it's very close to the classic one (better imo since it tastes less sweet). I just wish they used some natural sweetener rather than the usual Acel.K+ Aspartame combination almost all zero sugar drinks use.
Agreed. I don’t have Diet Coke that often but I will have mostly anything else outside outside of that that’s diet/zero sugar, as well as the regular sugared stuff 2. Coke Zero tastes a lot more like normal Coke and the last time I tasted Diet Coke it tasted horribly artificial. The taste difference between both Diet Coke & Coke Zero are clear.
I should point out that depending on where the soda comes from, it changes the taste. What I mean is plastic bottles, cans, glass bottles, fountain. Most people prefer glass or fountain with canned in 3rd and plastic last. This remains true for most people, but I think most people get canned cause it’s cheapest
For my take around me we prefer glass bottles first of course but the can is better than the plastic bottles. Rather it alumium than having the plastic seep in especially if its hot around that plastic bottle
Glass is always the best, no matter what kind of soda or drink. Cans are second, then hard plastic, then regular thin plastic. Reason is oxidation. The denser the material, the less oxygen gets in and the less aroma gets out.
I agree that coke zero taste more like regular coke, but I like them both in certain circumstances. I find diet coke has a drier taste which I prefer when I'm thirsty on a hot day after building up a sweat. I prefer the sweeter taste of coke zero when not necessary thirsty, but just want something more tasty to drink with a meal, or not eating anything at all but just want to sip on something tasty. To put in a cola nut shell...diet coke for thirst, coke zero for taste.
I tried diet coke years ago and it made me not go near anything "diet." I decided to give sugar-free coke a try but didn't want to go for diet again. I bought zero and it was not as off putting as I thought. There is an small after taste, but I have dabbed in different sweeteners over the years that it's not unpleasant. I LOVE coke, but it's very unhealthy, so Coke ZERO is my new option.
BTW, Pepsi Zero is also good. I'm not sure which I like better, Coke Zero or Pepsi Zero. Don't drink either on an empty stomach, or they'll give you a slight tummy ache.
My enjoyment of all of them change. Aluminum vs Plastic vs glass bottles from Mexico. Also size of bottle. Sometimes cans taste unpleasant other times fine. I think age and exposure to heat in container alters taste too.
Tastes much better in a can.. The cans get colder, plastic bottled sodas don’t get cold enough & warm quickly, plus they have a plastic taste at times.. Probably the chemicals interacting with the plastic & how it was stored. Coke 0 in a can ALL the way!!
If you drink a normal amount of Coke, then Full Sugar Coke Classic is fine. If you “don’t like water” and drink this witch’s brew as your main “thirst quencher,” you’re in agony and you don’t even know it. I’ve been through it so I know, only I had a full sugar phase and a diet phase. But if you’ve never been a “fan” of plain water... you have no idea how bad you actually feel right now and how much better you could feel if you could just get over the hurdle of drinking water. One week off the pop/soda and on the water (and plenty of it... but you don’t need to drown yourself, follow your thirst) and you will begin to feel rejuvenated. You’ll have less yellow, less stinky pisses, you’ll get fewer headaches and less brain fog, you’ll feel it in your skin. At least I did. You’ll feel the hydration. Especially if you’re switching from sugared pop. Sugar sucks the water straight out of you like alcohol. Now, on to the artificial sweeteners. The FDA says they’re totally safe and benign... but aspartame, acesulfame-potassium, sucralose etc. are so foreign to human physiology that they pass straight through us without ever getting processed. If you drink a few diet sodas and taste your urine, it’ll taste sweet. This fact revolutionized pee-pee fetish/watersports p0rn. The producers of this particular smut use this fact to their advantage. It’s easier for “adult film stars” to drink pee when it’s sweetened, one would imagine. I can say I have no experience with this till I’m blue in the face but no one will buy it. But I’ve heard stories from kinky couples who confirm the fact that these sweeteners “go right through you.” Also, be aware that switching to “juice” is not an alternative to water. Juice is the soda industry’s greatest swindle. It’s Fanta without the bubbles. A bottle of Tropicana Orange Juice has more sugar in it than an identical-sized bottle of Coke. The Vitamin C in it isn’t worth the sugar. Humans weren’t meant to extract juice from fruits by the tanker truckload. Eat an orange or two, don’t drink that year old, perfumed with essence of orange “juice” anymore. Drink water and take a vitamin C tablet or eat an orange or some clementines for your vitamin C. You don’t need much of these things. If you wouldn’t put it in your dog’s bowl, don’t pour it in your glass. By the way, I’m about to talk about how great tea and iced tea is as a substitute for soda. *Be warned: Tea is toxic to dogs!* They should never have any. Tea contains theophylline, which is the chemical in dark chocolate that poisons dogs and the reason you’re told to never give chocolate to a dog. Funnily enough, a whole bar of chocolate - as long as it’s _milk chocolate_ and not dark - is pretty dang safe to give to dogs since the amount of theophylline in there is negligible. I wouldn’t recommend it as a dietary choice for dogs but the theophylline is in the _cocoa mass,_ which is only present in a tiny ratio compared to the cocoa butter in milk chocolate. White chocolate has no cocoa mass and is made with only _cocoa butter_ and is, thus, safe for a dog to consume. Still probably not good for them, but not deadly. A single cup of tea on the other hand could be deadly to the dog. I recommend highly switching to tea. Hot or iced. Home made (or you can buy unsweetened jugs of the iced tea) can modulate the sugar amount to your own liking without putting in way too much. It’s the acids in Cola and other sodas that make the 30-40 grams of sugar per serving even tolerable. If you just dumped 35g of sugar into water or even a coffee or tea, you’d hate it. It’s too sweet. They modulate the flavour with acids so you don’t realize how sweet it is. Sugar is the majorly addictive substance in Cola, NOT the caffeine! And _not_ Sweet Tea! I don’t think I need to explain why. Great for a treat on a hot day, but like lemonade, it’s mostly sugar water. Rant over.
right now i’m trying to do the zeros but for so so many years now i have been so so addicted to the regular sodas it’s not even funny and i’m absolutely ashamed of myself right now because it’s a nearly impossible battle to get myself off regular soda…..yet one way or another i’m determined to win this battle to ultimately get to drinking diet sodas but good luck to me!!!!!
I notice when I drink to much regular soda, I don’t feel right . I think it’s because of to much sugar intake. I haven’t had regular soda since and I felt better. I had a craving for soda grabbed a Coke Zero and it taste GREATTTT Doesn’t affect me at all! GREAT REVIEW♥️👍🏾
Haven't had any diet soda for years. It tastes like crap. Having tried Coke Zero tho its delicious. Less carbonation, smoother, and I taste something like sugar even tho not actual sugar for a good sweet taste. I also put in a a good splash of lemon juice. Now thar Coke is temporarily putting out Coke and Coke zero w lemon. I want it. 😋 🥤I like it better than Pepsi.
Diet Coke is awful IMO. I’m going to try the Coke Zero tonight for the first time, only because I’m fasting and really crave that Coke taste. If it’s still bad, I’ll just stick to flavored waters from time to time. Thanks for the video.
I loved this video my favourite fizzy drink is Coke Zero I totally agree with your feedback Coke Zero is the best you should do a blind test with sodas/fizzy drinks
Coke zero still has that artificial sweetener aftertaste, but it is way more tolerable than Diet Coke. I can drink coke zero. If im eating food, the aftertaste can even be masked
How can Kola Bean have 0 Cal? I would love see a Coke Life version with 50% only Cane Sugar or Unrefined (semi). Maybe they can experiment w/ formulas mix of other half with Xylitol, Sorbitol. It would taste great and I would buy it.
Pepsi max is better than both however coke zero pairs better woth food as it has less sweetness to thr flavour than pepsi so it pairs better with food you don't want to change the flavour of to much in your mouth
As a fan of the real thing (Coca-cola Classic), I usually choose Coke Zero, as it more closely approximates the flavor of the original; but I understand the nostalgic value that Diet Coke has for some people. If the 80's had a flavor, it would be Diet Coke.
I been drinking Diet Coke for years and just recently got a case of Coke zero sugar and I'm blown away 🤯 I can't tell that it has artificial sweeteners in it it tastes just like regular coke 🤯
Wasnt the whole point of Diet Coke supposed to just be the non sugar no calorie version of reg coke? Thus thats why it has that fake sugar. So now they come out with Coke Zero and yet still make Diet Coke, like I mean you improve the formula to tast more like coke yet still be diet, yet you dont call it diet anymore? Like im confused on that whole point but I will say nothings better for you than real sugar. Fake sugar doesnt get digested very well in our bodies and actually can do more harm than high fructose corn syrup can. Im a Pepsi guy myself but all these companies came out with their "throw back" drinks where they put real sugar in and that is what you want. Cant see how in the name people can stand that fake sugar aftertaste. IF i had to choose though, Id pick Coke Zero over Diet Coke. They should have just put is as the new Diet coke
I love Coke.. I switched to Coke Zero years ago The other day I got take out and the lady messed up and gave me regular Coke and I'm not going to lie it was so good I drank the whole cup in a couple minutes and later it felt like I was having heart palpitations like I just did a huge bump of cocaine from the sugar rush. I don't know if I'm just getting older or just not used to injesting that much sugar in such a short amount of time but it was a rush.
Coke Zero tastes like regular coke to me Diet Coke has that diet cola not as good taste we were willing to accept to not have the sugar/calories For me new Coke Zero is the great original Coke taste without the calories ❤ it The million dollar question is just how bad are any kind of soda for my health?
Diet Coke has that cough syrup aftertaste a bit brash... Zero taste better than Diet in most flavors unless you've been hooked on artificial sweeters longer than a decade or u like extra soury chalky aftertaste
If you just drink coke zero for a while, you will hate actual coca cola because actual coca cola will taste so damn sweet you will feel the sugar in your mouth.
Coke Zero for sure closer to classic. But the first time I tried it for sure was flat. Then I got use to it. Can say it dam taste exactly like coke classic lol
I used to like Pepsi with Aspartame until they went to suclarose . Diet coke taste God Awful to me. Diet cherry 7 up is my go to. I tell people drink diet pepsi for two weeks and try drinking a diet coke. Yuk! Diet mt dew and Diet cherry Dr pepper are real good.
Diet Coke Loyalist heah, USA DIET COKE DOES NOT HAVE ACE K whereas Coca-Cola Zero USA does. Diet Coke is only sweetened with aspartame though there is/was a Splenda version. DIET COKE IS THE BEST SODA IN HISTORY. Diet Coke was also the formula used for “New Coke” that’s why it isn’t “Diet Coca-Cola” Diet Coke is literally Diet “New Coke” and Coke Zero is Basically Diet Coca-Cola.
