1- Quashment of FIR is a qusai judicial work & where no alternate remedy is available in any code, or act. writ is maintainable . 2- Cancellation of criminal proceedings is purely a judicial work under code of criminal procedure . Inherit power of HC is invoke able under criminal code. please like & subscribe channel .

With due respect sir. May be ap nay cancellation of FIR or Quashment of FIR ko mix up kar dia hai. Cancellation of FIR magistrate of First class ki power hai k wo order pass kare jab k Quashment of FIR under art 199 of Constitution of Pakistan k under High court ki power hai.

If FIR registered under congnizable offence then can we go for cancellation?

Allaqa Maj. is competent at first instance to order for the cancellation of F. I. R. Then H/C u /A 199 consttn .of pak 1973.before the commencement of trial. After it U/s 249-A. then in H/c-561-A Cr. P. C.
