Dr. Kulbersh talks about the difference between a septoplasty and a rhinoplasty. These are both surgical procedures on the nose. A septoplasty is procedure that corrects or fixes the septum, which is on the inside of the nose. This does not change the appearance on the outside of the nose. A rhinoplasty is the surgery of the outside of the nose. This is done for aesthetic reasons or to improve breathing of the nose. A septorhinoplasty is when both procedures are done at the same time.
